Meet “Sameon Moon Serenade” aka “D***y”

Stunning Cremello Pt Bred Arab c**t foal - 85% Arab

D***y was born 30th June, out of a maiden mare and is six generations of our breeding.
He was born with Sepsis, believed contracted from the placenta. Both mare and foal were taken to Liphook Veterinary Hospital where he received litres of fluid, plasma and antibiotics in intensive care.
Against all odds he pulled through, however despite sedating mum and occasionally successfully managing to get him to latch on and feed under strict supervision, once the sedation was reduced it became obvious that she was not going to take to motherhood. She is a very sweet mare and would watch over him however as soon as he brushed against her or tried to feed she would get very upset and would turn on him. They were given five days and then after a kick out of the blue that he very luckily avoided serious injury we all agreed that enough was enough.
They both left Liphook on Saturday, River went to a friend who has already gained her trust and is building a remarkable relationship after all the needles and experiences of the last few days and D***y has come home to be hand reared.
He is on a bucket and is very happy and enthusiastic. He is next to Grandad, Sameon Golden Virtue who lovingly and very gently keeps him company and makes sure that all is well.
He is a stunning c**t and we will update on his journey but have committed to rearing and not finding a foster. 25 years after our only other hand reared foal Sameon Golden Cashmere who is also his Grandmother. I guess we have been very lucky in 40 years of breeding however this year had been one of the toughest ever.
Thank you to all our friends and family who have supported and stepped in at very short notice sometimes to help us get him this far, it means a lot to know we have continued support for the journey ahead 💙🤍🩵💙🤍🩵💙🤍🩵

Support the National BPS Summer show, at MALVERN THE COUNTIES Nxt month .Please go to the Palomino BPS site entries are thin, if you have Palomino Duns ,PBA s dilutes look at the classes on offer, the committee have put a lot of time. & thought, so that everyone has classes to enter.
Youngstock, m & ms, pba s,
Dilutes in hand and ridden, fabulous rossetts, sashes, champions and reserves in all groups. This is a fantastic show , friendly . So please don't let this go, as it maybe another show that won't run, and it really is worth , getting there. The committee are all volunteers and give up a lot of unpaid time to organise. Get those ornaments out of the fields and show them off.... xx

We are almost at the end of another year. We will look forward to 2024, whatever it may hold and make the most of every opportunity.
Hopefully catch up with old friends and make some new ones too.
We have some challenges to face but will get through them together.

Can not recommend Aceso Animal Therapy - Chiropractic and Soft Tissue Therapies enough.
Eirlys Green is so calm, gentle and thorough with each animal whether the horses or the dogs.
They all love her and are so excited when she visits to treat them.
Recently tried the laser on a re-occurring hoof abscess which has not returned since and on the fluid and lumps in our dogs chest from multiple blood tests which have completely dispersed.

How may McTimoney Chiropractic treatments help my horses out on the Show Circuit?

McTimoney chiropractic treatment can greatly benefit the horse’s health and well-being due to the technique’s ‘whole-body approach’ to musculoskeletal issues. Improvements in these musculoskeletal issues can also result in increased performance parameters, a benefit for any animal athlete (and their owner!).

We can also see improved muscle balance, improved posture, and an overall improvement in the way that they are carrying themselves, due to becoming more comfortable in general, with increased protraction and retraction of the limbs a common post treatment observation – all of these are a huge bonus for those out on the showing circuits!

I also offer Low Level Laser Therapy – which is an excellent tool for promoting the healing of wounds and scars in particular – always beneficial for those untimely injuries! LLLT is also great for reducing localised areas of swelling, which can be very common this time of year with those pesky fly bites and allergic reactions!

Horses become generally happier and more comfortable with continued therapeutic care, and we all want our horses to be happy at the end of the day! I provide rehabilitative exercises to be completed between treatments, and this really does make the world of difference to flexibility and suppleness, which is a much needed quality for those horses in the show ring!

Last of the babies left this morning and looks like she is enjoying her new home.
By Roe Aseel x Sameon Santana’s Serenade (Rose) who is full sister to Sameon Spun Perfection and Sameon Spun Saffron.
This filly has been an incredible baby and an absolute angel. So much so that we very nearly kept her.
Was a real pleasure working with this year’s babies, all have lovely homes and all in Wiltshire.
Good job we have a special trip planned to Wiltshire next spring so we can also spend the part of the day visiting them. xx

The last two babies weaned this morning 💕
Mares out with their friends on the winter grazing happily eating and the two babies Saffron and Moonstone settled and munching quietly in their stable.
We let the mares tell us when they are ready which makes the whole event calm and uneventful which is how it should be.
So excited for the future of these two and so lucky that we again have found the best homes xx
