You may receive an email from Petchip.network advising that your pet’s microchip registration has expired and you need to pay for it to be updated – PLEASE IGNORE. THIS IS A SCAM. The email comes with a link taking you to a page showing your pet’s name, microchip number, your contact phone number and looks very convincing. PLEASE IGNORE.

There is a list of approved databases on gov.uk: Get your dog or cat microchipped - GOV.UK

Typically you would only pay a fee or first registering your pet or if you contact the company to update your details .

It is important to keep your pet’s microchip contact details up-to-date including if you move address or change phone number/ email address. Please contact your microchip provider direct to update your details.

Faith ❤️

This beautiful girl was handed into Cromlyn House Veterinary Hospital last weekend. She was found on the busy A1 carriageway. Unfortunately, her friend was hit by a car and passed away 😢
While she was in the care of Cromlyn House, it was discovered that Faith is pregnant with at least 4 pups.
She is now in foster under our care.
Faith is a sweet girl who has been quite shut down and is extremely underweight.
Her personality is starting to shine through, and she is the loveliest girl.
Huge thanks to all at CH and to the lovely fosters who are caring for Faith ❤️
We will keep you all updated on her progress

offers constant companionship and emotional support, giving

Our practice is taking part in the 2024 Antibiotic
Amnesty. Throughout November 2024 we are asking
pet owners to return any unused or leftover antibiotic
medications to us for safe disposal. Please drop off any
unused medications to us at the practice. This
medication might be left-over from a recent
prescription, antibiotics that you didn’t need or out-of-date medication. o Inappropriate disposal of unused antibiotics could contribute
to antimicrobial resistance and pollute the environment through
waterways, affecting our wildlife

We had the lovely Lacey in this week for her 2nd Vaccination with our vet Lauren. Lacey was so brave and enjoyed all the cuddles with receptionist Sophie 🥰

This gorgeous, sweet girl had a visit to Cromlyn House Veterinary Hospital yesterday to get her 2nd vaccine.
Lacey was taken to Corran Kennels as a stray. She is slowly learning that life and people aren't all bad.
She draws confidence from other dogs.
We would love to get Lacey into her forever home, but as we pause rehoming in December, we would love to find her a foster home.

We have seen a large number of dogs with vomiting or diarrhoea this week, with some pets becoming very unwell due to the illness.

Due to the recent increase in cases we have seen with similar symptoms, we would like to particularly highlight that pets who are not eating, have large amounts of watery vomit or diarrhoea, or start passing blood are especially at risk of becoming very unwell very quickly.

Please seek veterinary treatment the same day if this happens to your pet or if you have any other concerns about their health. Our team is here 24/7 to help and advise you, and we are always happy to answer a question over the phone if you are worried about whether your pet needs to be seen.

We regularly see pets who make a good recovery thanks to their owners promptly bringing them to the vet for necessary medical care.
