Peggy (7month old Dachshund) and Purdy (Jack Russell) are still missing from the Cargygray Road area. Both are microchipped. Please keep an eye out as the owner is distraught.

Dog owners are being advised to be careful when walking their pets in Hillsborough Park after the death of a dog. It's believed that the dog may have injested rat poison but this has not been confirmed.

Local pet owners have been warned to be wary following claims on social media that a dog died after eating rat poison while being walked at Hillsborough Forest Park.

"The Whispering Wood" is coming to Hillsborough Forest from Friday 22nd - Sunday 24th September. Whispering Wood is suitable for all ages.

The event includes:

- An Interactive Exhibition each day from 11am into the evening.
- Mythological characters and storytellers wander through forest trails at different points throughout the day

This FREE exhibition by Magik Door uses digital technology to recreate the ancient mythical world of the forest. The audio technology is blended seamlessly with the forest to create a ‘magikal’ environment as well as to illustrate stories told by storytellers and mythic characters wandering the woods.

Situated in a hidden enchanted glade in Hillsborough Forest, this enables the audience to physically interact with the sounds in the soundscape and move them around the trees.
