Unfortunately we’ve said goodbye to our gorgeous lazy lad Brian today 😢
A sudden bout of breathing issues took us to the emergency vet and after some tests we made the decision that it was kinder to let him go.

Here’s him showing that the lazy life is the best life, and a throwback to when he came to us as a tiny licky bean ❤️

Fly high little man, we’ll miss you ###

For the first time in a looong time, we have some rattos available for adoption ❤️
Check out our boys below;

💖Kari & Zephyr - Both white dumbos, between 12 & 18 months old, not neautered, very tame squishy marshmallows, No current/recent health issues, but Zeph does have a scar on his back from a huuge abscess which he had a while ago. Currently living happily with 6 other (younger) boys but can be a bullying when in with older rats, so will be best being homed as a pair or with robust younger boys.

💖 Shrew, Dougal, Ermin, Brian, Dylan & Zebedee
All white & grey dumbos, not neutered, approx 7-8 months old. These boys are litter mates came to us at around 4weeks old from a pretty poor situation after a missexing incident. Shrew has microopthalmia (smol eyes) so we’ve been keeping an eye out for other genetic issues but so far he seems fine. These guys are the tamest rats we’ve ever had and just want food, cuddles and love. Perfect for someone who just wants a pile of lazy boys to snuggle! Ideally to be rehomed as a group of 6 as they’ve been together their whole lives but will consider slitting into 2 trips

The Green Gathering wins at the UK Festival Awards 2022 ✨

We can't believe it - we won! This year we were shortlisted for the UK Greener Festival Award, and were in incredible company – Shambala, Cambridge Folk Festival and Greenbelt were also on the list.

Sustainability Communicator, Jak, and director, Em, were thrilled to receive the award on behalf of everyone involved in creating such a fabulous tenth anniversary Green Gathering festival this year.

Award sponsors A Greener Festival shared feedback and praised our team for reaching beyond the festival to “...pass on knowledge and positively influence future generations and future professionals to create sustainable power generation systems” and highlighted how “all members of the crew appeared to live and breathe the festival’s Sustainability and Equality and Diversity Polices. This radiated out to the festival-goers and created the feeling of a safe space for all.”

An empty pot might not seem like much but I’m so excited! This is the first time since arriving that Ducky has managed a full feed ❤️ This means he’s settling in and we’re starting to get his parameters to the right place😊 still a long way to go but this is a a huge step in the right direction xx

Hey guys!
So this is who me and Mel have affectionately named "Geck" for now 😅
Unfortunately he wasn't being kept correctly (no heat and often forgot to feed him 😪) thankfully a member of the public took him in and asked if we could help.
We don't normally take on reptiles as a rule but felt he needed someone to help him at least be warm and fed!
Unfortunately the thermostat he came with isn't working and this is a vital bit of kit! As you can appreciate, we have had quite a lot of large vet bills recently and are struggling to catch back up.
If anyone has a thermostat they could donate we would be extremely grateful, equally if you would like to donate money to us we are checking marketplace regularly for a second hand thermostat in the area (Leicestershire) 💚
