Pony wanted
I have a friend that is looking for a pony around 11-12hh that will go out to pony club rallies and local shows with a 5yr old girl off lead rein. Loan or buy, if anyone knows of a lovely pony please let me know.

I’ve been silent on here recently as I took time out to have our beautiful baby boy who arrived 7 weeks ago. I’m starting to feel fitter again so thought it was time to start retraining Quest. He’s had 6months off so is certainly feeling rested. Lots of lunging and groundwork will be done over the next few months before ridden work will commence as my core needs to mend after having a C section before I can ride.
This mornings first lunge session made me smile…..Facebook vs reality of a young hot headed ex-racer that’s had 6months off work 😂

Because sometimes we just need to giggle and laugh. I have been teaching Rose for around 18months and here she is having fun on her gorgeous pony cantering around with no hands. We are having fun but she’s still learning and practicing her balance 😉🐴❤️. Rachel Theobald I’m thinking once your other 2 grow out of Sonny it will be time for him to live with me and be my child’s pony 😂. Sonny has a home for life between us 🥰

It’s been a lovely evening at Nuneaton & North Warwickshire Equestrian Centre Pony Club tonight. These young ladies have been working on their Intro to Dressage sports badge over the last 5 weeks and have covered plaiting, grooming, turnout of horse and rider, arena markers and learnt the Pony Club walk trot test. Tonight we finished with riding their dressage tests and having a friendly competition which I’m happy to say they all loved as you don’t get chance to do that when you don’t own your own horse. Well done everyone.

Today we went to the Pony Club National Quiz finals that we qualified for in March and I’m very proud to say my Witham Villa Junior/senior team finished in 9th place in the centre national finals. That’s 9th out the whole country! I’m very proud of their hard work and dedication ❤️🐴

Congratulations to my Witham Villa Mini and Junior teams that took part in the Pony Club Area 7 Quiz today. I’m very proud of every one of them for working so hard at Pony Club and at home with additional revising. The Mini team came 6th and the Junior team came 5th. Congratulations guys, you’ve made me a very proud Pony Club Coach 🐴

Whilst my University Equestrian team were away at a competition yesterday it gave me chance to have a nice hack out on the lovely Tara to nanny one of the other horses and build confidence. I feel so lucky to be given these golden moments at work. Please do excuse the mane, we didn’t have long to get going or we’d have ran out of daylight on the way back 🐎❤️🐴

Look at the positives
As riders we’ve all had those lessons where we felt we could have done better. We’ve gone away feeling frustrated and spent the rest of the day beating ourselves up over it.
STOP 🛑
As a coach we set up a lesson exercise and ask riders how they think it went each time they try it. 98% of the time riders give negative feedback of their performance. I always say “what was good?”. Most riders will struggle to see the good in themselves and their horse because they are so focussed on the perfect performance which you will never achieve if you set your bar so high that it’s in the clouds!
I had a comment this week that my new horse will probably be doing novice dressage by spring 😂. Nothing will be further from the truth as I don’t set myself unachievable goals. I was overjoyed yesterday as Quest is now actively walking forward in a relaxed calm manner on a long rein and bending from my leg. Oh and he now stands still when you mount him which is a delight. That’s me a very happy lady.
I could have left the yard with a negative attitude cause it’s been 6 weeks and we should be doing better! This would have frustrated me for the rest of the day and spoilt my day off. Instead I went home buzzing cause I’d had a lovely morning at the yard with my young horse who for me is developing at a reasonable pace.
Always look for the positives in your horses, day and life. Negativity is poison, positivity is nectar to our souls ❤️

A happy client today with a very gorgeous boy. Both rider and horse tried very hard and improved greatly throughout the lesson. Excited to see this pair in the future 🐎❤️

I do have a selection of 7ft turnout rugs for sale, from medium to heavyweight stable and turnout rugs that do not fit my current horse.
If anyone needs rugs please message me and I’ll be happy to have a look at what I have and send pictures.
I also have sport boots, brushing boots, wraps and Lemieux dressage saddle pads for sale.

Get a racehorse they said 😂
I always tell my clients it happens to us all and here we go guys. My lovely new racehorse had a moment this morning as I asked for canter and I ended up on the floor. Apart from a new canister for my air jacket, a broken toe and some bruises I’m fine. He was very well behaved after 🤷🏼‍♀️😂
5years clear of a fall aswell.
