It is with great sadness that I'm having to announce the closure of Calm Groom!
This hasnt been an easy decision to make as I'm very proud of my salon and the unique one on one service I offer dogs who prefer a quiet place to be groomed.
But, after numerous tests its confirmed I have Rheumatoid arthritis, my symptoms have worsened recently with regular flair ups which are now affecting every day life.
Due to the nature of dog grooming, these symptoms are making it increasingly difficult to run the salon.
I've worked tirelessly over the last two years to create Calm Groom and have absolutely loved meeting all my customers and their beloved dogs. I've enjoyed adapting grooming styles to suit their needs and seeing the progress they've made and the trust they now have in me.
My last week will be just before the Christmas break. Anyone who has appointments booked for 2024 I will be calling you directly to cancel these.
I'm hoping by announcing this news now it gives you all time to find an alternative groomer for 2024 before the next groom is due or the dreaded "matts" appear😊

Please note going forward my new payment policies are as follows due to numerous issues in the last few months.
* Payment for all grooms will now be required before collection of your dog *

- No show on day of appointment: £25 will be charged at next booking.
- Late collections - 30 mins £5 charge 1 hr £ 10.
- Cancellations less than 24hrs notice - £15 charge
- Late payment (more than 24hrs after groom) £10 charge payable before next groom.
- Matt fee - £10 for coat removal and blade re-sharpening.
- Flea infestation- £15 charge for 'flea bomb' treatment at salon after departure to ensure the cleanliness of the salon continues.
