🌱 GRASS SEEDS 🌱
I know we might sound like we are on repeat but we cannot stress the importance of checking your dogs toes after their walks. These pictures were all different dogs and these were all taken in just the last 2 weeks.
They are deadly as once they attach they can work their way in between the toes and into the skin and disappear. They become infected and can cause a lot of pain and swelling around the foot and leg area.
As groomers we obviously remove any sticking out and will take pictures and make you aware if we find any but sometimes this can be too late if there is already an infection or the grass seed has gone into the skin already.
Please continually check your dog’s paws - if you are struggling to do this - maybe get them booked in for a bath and brush with us in between their regular full grooms and we can have a good inspection for you! 🕵🏽‍♀️
