As requested, here’s a little update on Enid’s puppies. As you can see they have dramatically grown, and at 3weeks old they now have their eyes open, are much more mobile and have started eating solid food. Enid is continuing to feed the puppies ad lib and they have quadrupled their birth weight. Now the fun will really begin...😆

On Monday morning we had a baby pigeon brought into the surgery. He had fallen from his nest and been picked up by a member of the public. He was very hungry and dehydrated but quickly improved once he’d been fed and warmed up. He’s currently being fostered by Lucy our nurse and on Friday he will be passed to a local Wildlife charity where he will continue his rehabilitation alongside other pigeons until he is ready to be released. ❤️🐦

This week baby Alice has been with us ‘helping’ on reception 😍 She is a 4week old cockatiel chick currently being hand reared by Lucy. Unfortunately cockatiels don’t always make the best parents so Lucy has stepped in and is currently providing round the clock feeds. She’s growing at an alarming rate and next week she will start to pick at solids. She will continue to be syringe fed for a few more weeks while she gets the hang of eating seeds.

Enid and Maisie having a great time playing in the waiting room today. What Maisie lacks in size she makes up for in character and determination and had no problems letting Enid know who was in charge!

All creatures great and small.... Today we had a visit from the lovely Adrian (and her buddy Princess Glitter sparkles). Adrian has developed a nasty infection in one of her sinuses requiring antibiotics and some anti inflammatory pain medication. Mice make fantastic pets for children and Adrian seems to have thoroughly enjoyed her big adventure at the vets today!
