If you've been lucky enough to meet Ronna...you'd know how wonderful this girl is even after everything she has endured. She is coming up to around 7 months now. Still a puppy, but not like the puppies you've met.

She is looking for her forever home. If you'd like to meet her, DM us. If you met her in one of our shops, please drop her a little reference in the comments for others to know what she is like. Ronna can't be described...she is a feeling.

PS. She looks like a large dog, however she is a medium size.

Donations on their way to the kennels. A lovely friend of Petculiar has offered to drive them for us. 140 miles round trip! 😱 We really have the best customers/friends ❤️! Everyone has been so selfless in order to help these poor dogs. Let's just say...Christmas has arrived early this year🫶

You have overwhelmed me with your donation response for our Kennel Appeal! They just keep coming 🤯 I will aim to send first lot tomorrow. The lady from the kennel has promised us an unboxing video 😁.

Bare with me if I have some last minute issues figuring this live thing. Never done this before.

Also, I have Ronna with me... the lovely girl we saved from Cyprus. 4th of our rescues with the help of all our followers 🥰 you are THE best!
She will be ready for her new home in few weeks. Currently learning how to be a perfectly behaved pet.

It has been a busy day as we kick off season for local dog events and doggy birthdays.

Please book early for your doggy gift bags, local events etc as our dates for larger orders are already filling up.

You set the price for each bag and we create it for you.
Can be for doggy parties, dog competitions, a little thank yous or even milestones.

We had the saddest email to date 😔

A kennel in the U.K. whom has a contract with the police to care for seized or dogs who are due to be PTS (mainly XL Bullies)contacted us and told us about the sad conditions the dogs are in. It broke my heart. We get a lot of requests for donations, and we help as much as we can, but this time, I want to do more.

This lady told us food and the vet bills are covered by the officials, but there is no budget for anything else. They are kept in cages with absolutely no enrichment, toys, chews, treats... or anything nutritional to add into meals. They try to do their best via their own money. However, they really need help. They can't keep seeing these dogs left in cages with nothing but space and boredom.

Will you be kind enough to donate enrichment toys, chews, treats, nutritional additives, etc, which your pet may have rejected? Stuff that's sitting in our cupboards untouched for months...

We are accepting any donation (not bags of food) in both of our shops. Please please go through your toy baskets, enrichment cupboards, treat cupboards, and donate.

Petculiar will also be donating and will also cover all costs of shipping items over. I, as a pet owner, will also be donating!

Any businesses who would like to get involved will be much appreciated and mentioned. Let's not let them leave this earth without knowing joy. That sentence hurt so much to write.

A massive thank you to , who travelled all the way from Berkshire to help us staff our Letchworth shop during . She was given no training and left alone at the shop to survive, and she SMASHEDDDDD IT! Shame she has a job as an award winning mixologist working for a big sustainable brand 😭...we would have snapped her up!

If she gave you questionable response to your health questions... allow her 🤣🤣 she tried, and that's what matters 😝

See you again tomorrow at Letchworth Food & Drink Festival for another pawsome day! I will be out in Leys Square promoting Petculiar during hours of 10-12 and in the shop after to answer all your questions. Both shops will be open as usual.

Update: Letchworth now open

I might be a little late opening Letchworth this morning 😬

Removing the door frame at Offley to bring one of the freezers to Letchworth 😁. It's taking little longer than anticipated.

We have plans for the space at Offley shop. Our range is growing!! And Letchworth will have option of frozen items too.

With full transparency...finding staff has been the most difficult thing I've done in Petculiar. Even stretching 37p to buy £1000 stock doesn't come close to this.

No one seems to want a job, but everyone thinks Petculiar is a dream job! 🤯

We have learnt so much from our hiring experiences...and its not pretty. Is there anyone out there who will change this experience?

The hours are beautiful! Saturdays 10-3 or 4pm depending which shop you will be covering and 10-2 on Sundays.

But please remember, we are a small business. We will need you to work, and we are not a corporate business. Although we are very on point with everything official, if you don't receive an official offer letter, this isn't the end of the world, you will have a contract.

And yes, you do need to work every weekend, not just the ones you want to. Oh, and please make sure you have time for a job before you apply. If I train, pay fees for yet another new starter only for them to decide they don't want to work...I may lose my mind.

Think this through, if you can offer us atleast 6 months, please apply. Otherwise, please don't.

I am underlining this...you need to work every weekend unless its been approved and booked in advance.

It has been a year of disappointments. Really need a breath of fresh air to enter my life.

Share this with someone you think is suitable, someone who wants to work for people who are fun, friendly, who will value people as individuals rather than a number. Work for people who will reward you for enhancing our business and our lives.

Do you allow your dog to sleep in your bed?

We do! ...and if we are lucky, they allow us to sleep in it too 🤣

This is a great motivator to regularly change our bedding and to keep on top of maintaining our dogs' health.

😭😭😭😭 We have a lot of pooches who are fans of Cooka's Cookies Human Grade Dog Food. However, as with many things Brexit has affected, Portugal has now been put in a different 'travel corridor'. This means, overnight, costs of import have sky rocketed. Unless we sell the cans at £7.50 each, there really is no way of continuing to stock...and that's not a budget friendly price for a small can 😔.

This is your heads up to stock up now. We still have available stock at this stage. But once it's gone, it's gone 🥺

We are going to miss this beautiful brand.

Picked up this beauty of a leaflet from NHS premises!

I get a lot of pawrents wave me off when I talk about unnecessary antibiotics some vets are administring JUST INCASE! And the long-term effects...

You tell me your vet is lovely and you trust them 100%... and that's great that you like them personally, but does this make them the right type of person to question practices taught in educational institutes (possibly sponsored) or their current work place due to quotas they must meet?

Forget what I say, I am not a vet...but I think we can take this leaflet onboard when it comes to our pets too.

I am not against medication. I use it on my pets when it's necessary. But I hear some of our customers literally visit weekly for the littlest reasons and come out with a bag of meds. This is incredibly alarming. Especially when I can see what your pet means to you.

Ignore me and other vets moving onto holistic methods... we just think we can sort every day health issues with hocus pocus... 🤷🏽‍♀️

But it is your responsibility to educate yourself and not blindly accept treatment. Because if the time comes, they may just not work 😔

Use meds responsibly. Choose lifestyle changes where applicable. Prevent rather than treat. Don't think supplements can change life-long choices. Start now.
