The importance of getting your dog groomed
I am mad about dogs and love nothing more than spending everyday with them, there all so different and unique. Dog grooming has definitely been my calling in life and although sometimes very challenging I couldn't do anything else. my aim is to make dog grooming as relaxed and calm as possible to keep the dogs as happy as I can. Not every dog enjoys the process but it is a must. All dogs benefit from being groomed regularly weather it is just a bath, de shed or a full groom the process promotes healthy skin, coats and general well being. As a groomer we notice any changes that may occur from one groom to the next often noticing things before the owners do. I will always offer as much advice as i can to help you keep your dogs coat healthy and i will always give grooming advice to help you maintain a matt free coat. A matted coat can cause all sorts of problems but especially skin conditions.
De-shedding of double coated dogs is important to allow air flow through the coat to help regulate there body temperature and again to ensure a healthy balanced skin. keeping your dogs nails the right length is extremely important because long nails will distort the bones in the dogs foot and cause health problems in he long run not to mention it will be very uncomfortable. Matting in a dogs coat is very uncomfortable for your dog as they will pull tight and can tear the skin, i will only attempt to take matts out for a maximum of 15 minutes but if I am unsuccessful I will need to cut them out sometimes even clipping the whole coat off.
