Our horses go out on Friday for the summer 🎉🎉🎉
This will mean they’ll be out and will keep pace with the grass so we hopefully keep a steady cover on the fields over summer without crazy amounts causing laminitus 🤞🏻

What a wonderful morning of test riding with Alexandra Hellings Dressage everyone thoroughly enjoyed it and all the owners and horses were absolutely brilliant!

Cheerleading….
When you have horses it’s hard work- physically, emotionally and financially.
We all do it because we love it, and if you can surround yourself with positivity then life gets a little easier…
I’m proud of the fact that we are a yard full of cheerleaders!
Whether it’s saying well done for a day out competing (regardless of if you come first or last- you went!) or getting your youngster going, or having your first gallop, doing a jump lesson, remembering a dressage test …. or just GETTING ON when your having a rubbish time and everything is a challenge.
So well done everyone, remember how hard you work to do what you love… and keep on cheerleading- a small sentence to someone can make the world of difference.
It’s not long until summer and the sun will be shining and we will all remember why we do it ! 😂😎

What a wonderful day yesterday attending the BHS annual awards where my amazing friend (& livery) THE Mrs Sally Wood was awarded the “unsung hero” award for all her unwavering and selfless hours given to the equine community and beyond.
Truly one of the best people ever 🥰🥰🥰
To be known going forward as “The awarding winning inimitable Sally wood” 😉😂
No one deserves it more ❤️

We are looking for someone to join the team on a part time basis initially from November- may but this could be permanent for the right person.
(A reliable Freelancer would also be an option)
Cover required is -
Wednesdays 8-12 initially
Saturday 8.30-10.30 (flexible)
Sunday 8.30- 10.30 (flexible )
Must be reliable, conscientious, confident and have relevant experience.
Nice easy horses , all indoor stables, all horses are turned out daily, all have automatic drinkers- so no lugging buckets! 😎

We had a wonderful day at the tractor run today in aid of Sheffield Children's Hospital ❤️
Organised by holmesfield and Barlow ploughing society & barlow hounds.
Over £2000 was raised thankyou to everyone’s generosity who we pointed our buckets at on route and all the amazing participants
And our amazing liveries for helping out 🥰

Todays mission - baby owl rescue 🤦🏼‍♀️🦉🤦🏼‍♀️🦉🤦🏼‍♀️
Looks like it’s taken a trip from the Dutch barn (no idea how 🤷🏼‍♀️) and is injured. (We’re currently baling so a lot of disruption)
Many thanks to ‘bird rescue and rehabilitation chesterfield’ for accepting the little one to hopefully recover 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
