The weather held off and we had a fabulous time Hade Edge Gala. 3rd place in Best 6 legs for Nigel and I 👍👍. Last minute decision for Dolly and her children Betsy and Nigel into the fancy dress because they had their amazing coronation bows on made by Handmade By Rosie Jade which we came 2nd so that meant we qualified for Best in Show and they came 3rd 🥉 🥉 🥉. Thankful Tuesday. Half a stone heavier due to hormones and the loss of my wonderful Grandad meant I had lost my mojo 💔💔💔. 3 weeks ago today I lost my beautiful friend Anne-Marie and whilst expected the shock of how suddenly it happened left us stunned but it kick started me back in to getting my mojo ready for the Yorkshire Three Peaks Hike . Whilst walking today i realised I am fitter than I thought and it’s ok to have a good cry 😢. If you can spare a few £££ to help the amazing Ella Dawson Foundation to continue there amazing working helping young adults to live well with cancer it would be greatly appreciated

Well you haven’t let me down over 40 tickets sold ❤️❤️❤️. Let’s try and get this all wrapped up for the weekend and you could be watching the 1% club with all your fabulous prizes ❤️❤️❤️❤️. Who needs Lee Mack 📺 , Saturday night and the 1% club when you can be Tracey’s Tremendous 1% club winner 🥇 . As you know I lost my Grandad on the 16th March and I am a little lost 😞. So to stay focus and positive I have signed up to do the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge on the 1st September for the Ella Dawson Foundation a charity that I have already raised over £4000 but for them to continue to help young adults live well with cancer they will always need more money. Now rather than ask for donations ( there is a just giving page if you want 🤣❤️👍) I am giving you something.

With the incredible generosity of the local community here’s some of the prizes that I have secured ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. Full list is a Biscuit Hamper ( my t’other half ) , A Wine Hamper ( Londis Denby Dale, Rock Inn Brockholes Valentinos.Scissett), A meat hamper from Atkinsons Butchers £20 voucher for Brindon Addy , a selection of delicious pork pies from David Gawthorpe Butchers, a wonderful fresh flower bouquet from Quality plants and flowers , chocolate hamper from Taylors Foodstore and an amazing Tweed bag from Yorkshire Field Sports - Apparel . And a doggy treat box from Norman's Nibbles. That’s the whole family catered for ❤️❤️❤️❤️

As I lay on my makeshift bed in the living room remember this :

From time to time people tell me, lighten up it's just a dog or that's a lot of money for just a dog. They don't understand the distance traveled, the time spent, or the costs involved for just a dog. Some of my proudest moments have come about with just a dog. Many hours have passed and my only company was just a
dog, but I did not once feel slighted. Some of
my saddest moments have been brought about
by just a dog and in those days of darkness,
the gentle touch of just a dog gave me comfort
and reason to overcome the day.
If you too, think it's just a dog, then you will
probably understand phrases like just a friend,
just a sunrise or just a promise. Just a dog
brings into my life the very essence of
friendship, trust, and pure unbridled joy. Just
a dog brings out the compassion and patience
that make me a better person. Because of just
a dog I will rise early, take long walks and look
longingly to the future. So for me and folks
like me, it's not just a dog but an embodiment
of all the hopes and dreams of the future, the
fond memories of the past, and the pure joy of
the moment. Just a dog brings out what's good
in me and diverts my thoughts away from
myself and the worries of the day.
I hope that someday they can understand that
it's not just a dog but the thing that gives me
humanity and keeps me from being just a man.

Happy National Pet Day. These 5 beauties ( along with some fabulous hoomans ) have kept my spirits up through the last few weeks . Yes they take a lot of my time and MONEY 🙈 up but the unconditional love ❤️ they give back is priceless 🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶

Something to make you smile 😊. So I used to do my Grandads washing and a few weeks ago I picked his usual bedding , PJs and polo shirts and a jumper which all go in on a normal 59 minute wash. Whoops the jumper was merino wool and this was the result 🙈🙈🙈. Didn’t dare tell Grandad because he liked that one and I know at some point would have had to fess up , anyway Colin says it very warm and toasty

When your leg end of a friend Garreth Humphries steps up to the mark ( along with many others who had offered thank you ) with a large crate and your Springer becomes teeny tiny Colin . Perfect for his respite and Nigel is already planning parties 🥳. What did make me chuckle was Scooby 🌈 💙🐶who was thw previous occupant was not a retriever, a Labrador not even a border collie he was an ickle Border Terrier so luxury at the best for that boy Barnsley Vets4Pets Skinner's Honley DIY & Pet Supplies Ltd

SORTED THANK YOU EVERYONE Any one a large dog crate I could borrow for a few weeks please for my Mr C 💙🐶. He’s in a medium one which is perfect for crate rest but will need next size up when restricted walks come in to play so he’s not climbing on the sofa whilst we are out.
