Honley Dog Club

Honley Dog Club Honley Dog Club was started in 1991 by Doreen Camp. Since that time, we have been offering high quality basic training for all ages of dogs.

We run classes on a Wednesday evening in Brockholes for puppies and adult dogs. We run a booking system of 5 week blocks at a time. Owners are free to rebook at many times as they wish. There is a short waiting list for places due to this as we don't know exactly when spaces will become available. If you'd like to be added to the waiting list, please email yours and your dog's details to honleydog

Class update

We are sorry to say we've made the decision to cancel classes on Wednesday 3rd as we'd have to train outside again and the forecast is for rain - goodbye summer it seems!

We don't like cancelling classes but want to make sure dogs and people are safe, warm and dry.

We are hoping to get some mats for classes next week (the 10th) so we can be back inside as normal

We'll carry forward the payment for the classes until we've managed to get the 5 classes!

Class update

🐾 With the forecast for Wednesday 13th being so hot, we've decided to cancel classes for the dogs (and your!) welfare. The hall gets so hot, is often no cooler than outside and we've no way to cool it down so it doesn't seem fair to make the dogs train in those conditions.

🐾 There is also no class on Wednesday 20th as they are re-doing the hall floor and we want to make sure it's dry before any doggy paws go back on it.

🐾 The next block of 5 classes was due to start this week so it will now start on the 27th.

🐾 Please can you 'like' this post so we know who has got the message about classes and who we need to contact separately for people not on Facebook.

Hi everyone,

We've been catching up on admin and noticed there are a few payments outstanding from the last block of classes (30th April- 28th May) and this current block (4th June -2nd July).

The next block will then be starting 9th July to 6th August.

If you haven't already spoken to us about this, please can you make the payment. Either cash or bank transfer is fine 😊

As it's now holiday season, just to confirm we do still charge for classes missed due to holidays. As we are a nonprofit club run by volunteers, we have to make sure we can cover the costs during the quieter times - we hope you understand. But if there's a medical reason your dog can't attend e.g. season or neutering, please speak to one of us.

🐾Those in the top class doing their Gold test please come for 8pm and park in the top car park
🐾Those in the top class not doing the Gold, please come to the second class at 7.20pm
