I have been looking after pets professionally for over 8 years. Growing up, I spent my childhood on a small goat farm and was involved of all aspects of livestock care from milking to new born care. I have never been far from a dog or cat and have also owned chickens, fish and a variety of rodents. Boo is such a sweet and happy boy. He has the craziest sleeping positions and I think he may be part cat. 😆 When he gets excited he loves to show you his blue dinosaur. He loves going out on walks and is a stop and smell the flowers kinda guy. He's very well behaved but if he catches sight of a cat, he may try and dive headfirst into a bush after it. 😂 He loves his food topped with cheese and likes a good after dinner biscuit. We're having such a fun time together!
Having a blast with Boo and the kitties! Miss Vic has been making more appearances and coming around to say hi quite a bit but still very unsure about physical contact as per usual. This is my 3rd time looking after her so I've learned that being a 'look don't touch' cat is what she prefers. But last night she came up to me and started meowing and acting like she wanted something. So I sat down on the floor and she climbed into my lap and rubbed all over me and let me pet her like she was the most cuddly kitty in the world. 😱🥹 She even let me take a couple pictures. This went on for a good 5-10 minutes. It's so sweet when a normally shy animal shows pure love and trust. One of the best feelings in the whole world. 😊🫂🐾🐾🐾
After two lovely weeks with the crew, I have moved on to the next sets of paws. 😆 I will miss the photogenic spaniels, Ziggy, Giddy and the bunnies, but am looking forward to a week with sweet Boo. He is a much more reserved boy and gets a bit sad when his owners leave. 😪 But he perked up when I mentioned walkies, enjoyed a nice long walk this afternoon, and is settling in now. 😌 Bob the cat is curled up next to me. She loves her food and good company. 😅 Vic (not pictured yet) is more illusive but pops in to say hello every so often. She's more of a 'look don't touch' kitty. I love how unique each animal I look after is. 😊🐾
Rain. Rain for 3 days straight. 🫠 We weren't quite ready for summer to over yet but it seems the weather had other plans. 😆 Regardless, dogs must be walked even if they turn into soggy doggies. 😂 Ziggy on the other hand believes that rainy days mean warm laps and nothing more. It's hard to argue with that but the pups love a good romp no matter what the skies unleash on us. 😅☔️
Still having a blast with this lot! Rain or shine, they are always up for some fun. It's been a big adventure looking after them all. Such sweet loving pets. 😊
It's been a very busy week with this crew!! Lots of coastal walks, field runs, cuddles, and one very stinky Pigeon who decided to roll in yuck and needed a very big bath! 🥴😂 This job certainly isn't a boring one! We are having a blast and looking forward to another week of fun and hopefully slightly less smelly adventures. 😆
Meet the crew!
Elgin: he is the man of the house, very out going, and always full of energy. Due to some medical issues he can't go on walks at the moment which is hard for him but he's a pretty happy guy and loves doing 'brain exercises' and playing with the others. He looooves dinner time and will do anything for a treat!
Nutmeg: she is the mum of the group, lives to please, and is slightly more reserved but not by much. 😆 She has a sweet nature and is always checking to see where I am and is a great listener. She loves a good belly rub and usually prefers to watch the others rough house.
Pigeon: she is Nutmeg and Elgin's baby, the wild child. 😅 She's a carefree girl who loves a good run about in a field. She loves to explore and is always sticking her nose into every hole, and trying to push her way through every gap in the hedge. If there's a way to, she'll try to go. 😂 Luckily she's also fairly good at coming back when she's called.
Giddy: she may be the smallest but she is the real leader of the pack. 😆 She is a bit of a diva and loves home comforts. She is on the older side but still loves long walks and keeping an eye on whatever the spaniels are up to! She's a very sweet little lady and is good company.
Ziggy: he's the only cat of the house after his brother Zephyr recently passed. :'( He is the sweetest cuddliest kitty. He loves being outside but always comes in for dinner and a cuddle. He has big curious eyes and loves a warm lap and pets. He's never met a stranger and loves making friends.
Celeste, Jasper, and Jago: Celeste, the big bunny, is quite friendly and likes a pet with her fresh veggies. She is a very noisy eater and makes all sorts of grunting sounds. 😆 The smaller boys are a bit more shy but still very sweet! They love hopping around their luxurious hutch, munching on hay, and popping out to say hello from a distance when I pay them a visit.
What an amazing bunch of animals I have the pleasure of looking after these two weeks! 😍😎
We rounded out the last long weekend of the summer with some gorgeous sunny weather! 😎 Twinkle and Amber are always a pleasure to look after. 😊 On to the next crew now! Stay tuned for adventures with 3 spaniels, 1 terrier, 1 kitty, and 3 bunnies!! It's going to be a wild ride. 😂😍

We enjoyed a stunning sunny walk this afternoon along the canal. So picturesque and a perfect place for dogs and humans alike to explore! Settling in for a good night with this little gang. 😴🐾🐾
Just finished off a brilliant week with Ralph and Luna. We had a lot of good hikes and adventures! They are such sweet little guys full of personality and energy. They are also incredibly photogenic when I can get them to look at the camera. 😅 Until next time little buddies! 🐾🐾
We went back to the reserve today and enjoyed a lovely afternoon in the sun. It felt very summery, warm with a sea breeze and fresh country air! Ralph is such a little trooper. He loves a good long hike and seems to have endless energy stored in those little legs. 😅 Luna love spending her days exploring as well but always come in for a good snooze and of course for dinner. 😆 Love these guys! 😊
Ralph and I explored a really cool nature preserve today! Lots of fields and paths, a river and woods. We hiked several miles over varied terrain and Ralph had a blast running around enjoying the fresh air and exciting smells. 😊 I'm so thankful to live in work in such beautiful landscapes! 🐾 Luna held down the fort at home and is busy being her beautiful self. 😅😍
Yesterday I said see you later to the lovely Nancy and Gally and hello today to two of my regulars, Ralph and Luna. 😊 Looking forward to a nice week with them and hopefully more summer weather! It's none stop busy at the moment and I'm loving it! 🐾🐾🐾🐾

Gally and Nancy enjoyed the beautiful summer weather today. They had a busy day of lounging in the garden followed by a long country walk. 😎🥱 Soak it up while it lasts girls!
Looking forward to a great week with these sweet girls. Gally Cat is 15 but no one told her that. 😅 She's missing almost all her teeth but that doesn't stop her from stealing dog food every chance she gets. 😆 She's a very affectionate lady and acts much younger than her years! Nancy is a sweet sprollie (spaniel/collie cross). She is only 11 months old and still very much a puppy. She loves to play but is a very sensitive dog and has a kind spirit. Today we went walking on some beautiful trails and came across several bridges along a peaceful stream!

Having an awesome weekend with the lovely Lottie, Zale, and Ærwyna! 😍 These three adorable fluffy pups love long walks and doggy ice cream!🍦Lottie may be smallest but she is definitely top dog and very bossy. 😅 Zale has the sweetest eyes and is an old soul. Ærwyna is the ever energetic sheep dog who is happy to be along for the ride! All three are very loving and make for excellent company. I've gotten to know them for over a year now and love having long lasting relationships with the pups I look after! 🐾🐾🐾
Twinkle and Amber saw some incredible sunsets in Bude this weekend! This has got to be one of my favourite pictures of the year so far. These two never stand still for long so I could hardly believe how nicely they posed for me! I really had a blast with these awesome doggos. 😎🌅🐾🐾

I have returned to the gentle English summer after an amazing time in stunning Corfu, Greece! I thoroughly enjoyed the (extreme) heat and swimming in the warm waters of the Ionion Sea but am back recharged and ready to roll. 😎 To my delight, our hotel had two resident kittens that ended up being one of the highlights of the trip of course. 😂 I just can't stay away from adorable four legged friends, even on holiday. 😉 Will now be catching up on messages and taking bookings as I dive head first into a very busy few months ahead! What a lovely few days with Roxy. She is such a sweet girl. She loves taking her sweet time on walks to smell every flower, she always cleans her plate, she wants to be wherever you are and loves physical contact. 😅😊 It's been a pleasure and I'll definitely miss my little shadow.
