This beautiful collie is Milo .
He is 3 1/2 years old and a top class working dog and loved pet ..
Unfortunately he suffered a ligament /tendon issue and we are hoping to remedy this with a course of hydrotherapy to save him from potential surgery ..after being signed off by his vet our hard work together here has started ..
We have lots of work to do .. but there’s hope and Milo is a brave and strong dog , his movement in the pool subject to his injury is actually very good at such an early stage so we will see how Milo gets on .. great start sweet Milo he’s very endearing and have a soft spot for him already !

Thank you to Murphy’s and owners and a spectacular result for lovely Murphy !

I would highly recommend Haven Hydrotherapy. Murphy's muscles were very tight after his cruciate ligament operation and we could see he was struggling and becoming depressed as he was unable to run around as he used to. After just a couple of sessions with Karen the difference was amazing and he's improved quickly over the weeks. Murphy didn't like the water at first but Karen was brilliant with him and now he can't wait to get in the pool you can see she really cares about the dogs and helping them with their recovery. Now he's back to his old self enjoying his walks we're so grateful for all she has done for Murphy.

Hello Logan !
Logan ,a beautiful chocolate Labrador of seven years young .
He is post operative for a procedure known as MMP
Modified Maquet Procedure for a torn cruciate ligament , this procedure is a simplified version of a TTA tibial tuberosity
Which I know many of you may be familiar with with your own dogs ..
Logan is here for rehabilitation and strengthening of his operative leg and also to stabilise and help his opposing knee which is weak
He is wonderful! So strong ! Logan ..

Hattie & Mabel
Such a heartwarming success story
Hattie you may remember was rescued as a street dog , in Greece and she suffered an accident whilst in Greece she had sadly fallen into a drained swimming pool . Hattie is doing so well and her lovely owner who rescued her in the UK is so committed to Hatties healthy future we are now on maintenance swims and Hattie is doing great … but what is so great when she came over her lovely family members decided to have both Hattie and Mabel !
So the lovely families have both !
They’re sisters ! Such sweet dogs !
Mabel has started hydrotherapy as she’s a little worried and anxious when out near dogs so hydrotherapy is a great way to exercise, anxious, non confident or reactive dogs .
Your dog will only ever be the only one in the pool and we can even arrange they do not have to be around other dogs whilst waiting or leaving !

Maisie is a 7 year old Beagle , she sadly has had to have ,
a spinal procedure known as Hemilaminectomy and mini hemilaminectomy ,

Swimming will tighten her core creating back strength as in people ! Hip flexor, knee conditioning stabilise knees and hips !
Maisie is a feisty Beagle , confident and wanting to get back to her old life so we will keep you posted ! She’s a little qutey and very endearing !

7 month old sprocker Willow came in to Haven Hydrotherapy for a confidence puppy swim
Willow you did so well , a confident 1st swim well done little qutey !

Hydrotherapy is mainly clinical but of course you can swim for exercise , competition, fitness , these wonderful 1st swims giving confidence to Puppies ,a safe , way to introduce them to water and exercise puppies full of energy who should not be exercising excessively which can cause irreparable damage to young joints !

Qute ! This is Yuri he’s an agility loving Cavalier!
Yuri is just over Two years old so he’s swimming for fitness and strengthening …
and it’s great exercise for young exuberant dogs !
He has the most beautiful face and the sweetest nature and has taken to hydrotherapy very well !

This bundle of quteness is Lara ..a 14 years old
Miniature bull terrier.
Lara has started hydrotherapy as she is sadly experiencing neurological deficit resulting in unstable hind legs. It’s a complex condition but to summarise
Neurological deficit, can affect young or older dogs … of any breed
Just some Symptoms can include ..
Difficulty walking
Partial paralysis
Memory loss
Loss of feeling or tingling
Poor coordination
Head tilt /swaying gait
Ataxia(lack of muscle control /balance and coordination )
Pain /discomfort when being handled
Lack of proprioception ( dog’s ability to sense where feet are or placed )
Even behavioural issues ..
All to varying degrees and sometimes just one symptom or multiple
Lara is here to strengthen hind leg strength as she is struggling with movement
We had a great start , Lara’s loving owner was poolside and said Lara seemed very happy post swim !
Your dog is NEVER too old to start !
We just have to go a little steadier.. the results ultimately will be the same an improvement in the dog’s physical and mental well being

This is Chase a stunning GSD , Chase has been experiencing since December lameness issues with his knee, he has just commenced hydrotherapy treatment and his recovery quite amazing already he is no longer limping in the evenings on rising .. which he has been since December
Chase is a very strong swimmer, his action is powerfull in the pool aiding his recovery we are looking to avoid surgery so will keep you posted on his progress!

Hello remember Hattie ?
Saved in Europe after a catastrophic accident whilst living on the streets ..
she fell into an empty swimming pool , resulting in twisted pelvis and ribcage /fractures which healed on their own !
Such horrific injuries , thankfully rescued and adopted by her wonderful owner in the Uk who loves her dearly , we’ve really been working hard to enable her back to being able to exercise and wow she can now !
As you know many of you are on journeys to recovery with your own dogs …it takes time ..
Hatties journey is almost completed she CAN run , and go off lead and is living her best life , with the loving support of her wonderful owner and moderate consistent exercise combined with hydrotherapy and weight control we’ve a dog who can go and enjoy their walks again !here a few lines from Hatties owner …
