Myla a beautiful French bulldog is only seven months old
Myla is here as she has a condition called luxating patella’s which is a scientific name for kneecaps simply put her kneecaps are moving/dislocationg away from the groove within the orthopaedic structure of the knee that they are supposed to sit in as you can imagine this is very painful for dogs and causes extreme damage to orthopaedic structures which would result in arthritis as dogs age, Hydrotherapy will serve to build sizeable muscle around the knee, preventing friction and instability within a non weight bearing environment
Will keep you updated on Myla‘s progress and let’s hope we get another win. Thank you to Myla’s wonderful owners for bringing her in to receive treatment and to their forward thinking vet for recommending hydrotherapy with potentially the avoidance of surgery, let’s hope we can get a win for Myla

Maisies loving owners have brought Maisie who will be 10 years old next month,to Haven Hydrotherapy suffering with complex orthopaedic issues involving her spine and elbows
Hydrotherapy will help strengthen these areas along with her core and a universal body conditioning exercise for Maisie in a non-weight-bearing environment. We will build her strength back up building muscle and we will keep you posted on how she gets on. Well done Maisie proud of you already. !

That's quite a smile Ludo considering...!
Ludo is a 14 month old ball of fun and energy spaniel. Ludo experienced a strange accident when he lept around the corner in his garden and kicked his hind legs onto a wall, causing damage to his left patella and a fracture.!
We are post operative now
Ludo was another candidate who was very anxious to start with, but I think his face now says it all.
Hydrotherapy is going to be best way for Ludo to
build muscle and strength as he is currently on restricted walks.
And being the ball of electric energy that he has been ..
verv hard for him , but we are are currently building his muscles /conditioning in the pool for a phased and safe return back to exercise
Plus Ludo is letting off steam and exercising, moderately and consistently… in a safe environment where he can do no further damage to his leg!
Well done, Ludo. So proud of you !

Nala a two-year-old black Labrador has commenced Hydrotherapy here at Haven ,
to assist in strengthening her knees. As
showing instability in both knee joints now starting a robust program to try to help any further orthopaedic degenerative changes within the knee
Nala a little nervous to start is now really enjoying our Hydrotherapy
I have to hold on tight to her on ramp release as she would quite happily leap in full force !
