Qute ! This is Yuri he’s an agility loving Cavalier!
Yuri is just over Two years old so he’s swimming for fitness and strengthening …
and it’s great exercise for young exuberant dogs !
He has the most beautiful face and the sweetest nature and has taken to hydrotherapy very well !

This bundle of quteness is Lara ..a 14 years old
Miniature bull terrier.
Lara has started hydrotherapy as she is sadly experiencing neurological deficit resulting in unstable hind legs. It’s a complex condition but to summarise
Neurological deficit, can affect young or older dogs … of any breed
Just some Symptoms can include ..
Difficulty walking
Partial paralysis
Memory loss
Loss of feeling or tingling
Poor coordination
Head tilt /swaying gait
Ataxia(lack of muscle control /balance and coordination )
Pain /discomfort when being handled
Lack of proprioception ( dog’s ability to sense where feet are or placed )
Even behavioural issues ..
All to varying degrees and sometimes just one symptom or multiple
Lara is here to strengthen hind leg strength as she is struggling with movement
We had a great start , Lara’s loving owner was poolside and said Lara seemed very happy post swim !
Your dog is NEVER too old to start !
We just have to go a little steadier.. the results ultimately will be the same an improvement in the dog’s physical and mental well being

This is Chase a stunning GSD , Chase has been experiencing since December lameness issues with his knee, he has just commenced hydrotherapy treatment and his recovery quite amazing already he is no longer limping in the evenings on rising .. which he has been since December
Chase is a very strong swimmer, his action is powerfull in the pool aiding his recovery we are looking to avoid surgery so will keep you posted on his progress!

Hello remember Hattie ?
Saved in Europe after a catastrophic accident whilst living on the streets ..
she fell into an empty swimming pool , resulting in twisted pelvis and ribcage /fractures which healed on their own !
Such horrific injuries , thankfully rescued and adopted by her wonderful owner in the Uk who loves her dearly , we’ve really been working hard to enable her back to being able to exercise and wow she can now !
As you know many of you are on journeys to recovery with your own dogs …it takes time ..
Hatties journey is almost completed she CAN run , and go off lead and is living her best life , with the loving support of her wonderful owner and moderate consistent exercise combined with hydrotherapy and weight control we’ve a dog who can go and enjoy their walks again !here a few lines from Hatties owner …

Theo two year old Patterdale cross and Koda six year old Pomeranian who live together both came to hydrotherapy today
They are experienced hydrotherapy swimmers!
One hour of high energy whirlwind joy and energy !
Little Theo today flipped the ring into
his nose and decided he would liked to swim like this !
Two real little characters building confidence quickly and gaining benefit from hydrotherapy

Another Testimonial Tuesday this time from Mickey and Sidney !
Two sweet miniature Schnauzers!
These six old brothers are a true success story !
Mickey originally came to hydrotherapy as advised by his vet to try and prevent potentially surgery for ACL ( cruciate issue) he has done extremely well ,through hydrotherapy and his loving owners management of exercise, diet at home HES MADE IT !
Accomplished in just 11 weeks !!
Success NO SURGERY REQUIRED!
Signed off by his vet and good to go !
Then Sidney started to show signs of knee weakness although less so than his
brother,
Both now are sound and back to their cheeky selves !

Juno here ! Being encouraged pool side by his owner !
Juno is an 11 year old golden retriever he is swimming to help his mobility as a senior gentleman and help to build up his muscle wastage which happens to us all as we age !
Juno is very endearing and such a sweet gentle soul , I think he’s beginning to really enjoy his hydrotherapy will keep you posted how he gets on !
