We're super excited to announce that we have officially set up a loyalty account for the Holsworthy pet food bank ! What does this mean for you?

It means that when you do your shopping you can choose to give your loyalty points to them. For every £1 you spend, is a point on to the account. Then at some point they will be able to come into the store and use those points towards something that they need.

What a day!

Today is the first day I have officially taken over the pet food bank!

I did a drop off to a local animal sanctuary just outside of holsworthy called “OWLIES animal rescue “ Owlies Animal Rescue & Sanctuary delivered some dog and rabbit food!

I have been trying to organise some drop of points with local company’s around holsworthy.
I would like to say thank you to the The Original Factory Shop - Holsworthy we have a donation location there now. 3red picture is where it should be or feel free to ask the friendly staff!

I want to say thank you to Holsworthy Pets + Stable Door Pets in Bude as they have also said they will be a donation point.

I’m still in touch with a few other places which hopefully will be kind enough to allow us to have a donation point. Please stay updated.

I Have some ideas… I would love to expand and make it holsworthy and Bude pet food bank. Please send me your thoughts and never be afraid to get in touch 💓

Hey guys!

I’m Becky !
I’m now taking over the pet food bank!
Couple of things I need to sort out but I can still take in donations please!
I will be working with local sanctuary’s around the area so we can help with food and of course help people that may be in need of support for feed with their own animals.
We have lots of cat and dog food, I have couple of sanctuary’s that might be in need of chicken food/ duck food if anything like that is possible !

I will be doing everything from home.
I have ideas of having little drop off points in holsworthy for example mole valley and places in Bude but nothing confirmed yet.
Please feel free to message any questions would love to hear ideas! 💓

UPDATE!
I'M REALLY EXCITED TO TELL YOU THAT THE PET FOOD BANK HAS A NEW HOME AND OWNER. further information will follow, thank you to everyone who responded. I can venture off and spend more time seal 🦭 surveying and pup watching and thank you to everyone who has supported the pet food bank over the last 18 months.

Sadly due to time restraints and other commitments I'm having to give up running the holsworthy pet food bank, before I close it though I would like to offer it to someone else to take over who could move it forwards.

Lovely person in this week who was extremely tearful and emotional at having been left in a dire situation through no fault of their own, I suggested paying it forward in some small way to help ease their anxiety about having to ask for help. 🥰

I have been absolutely blown away by the generous donations that have come into the pet food back over the last few days, special thanks to a wonderful young man who has fund raised and has purchased over £200 worth of pet food treats and toys 🥰 also special thanks to tamar vets and penbode vets for their clients donations, these donations of food will ensure that no one in need will have to part with their pets. I am now in a position to accept self referrals but I would still encourage you to get a voucher from the holsworthy food bank.

What's new at the Holsworthy pet food bank ? So we've been busy behind the scenes organising the best way forward for the pet food bank, it became apparent that more structure was needed to ensure the people in most need could be helped with pet food at a time when they needed it, so the holsworthy pet food bank is now working in conjunction with the holsworthy food bank.
This means if you are in receipt of a food bank voucher you can ask for a pet food voucher which you can then redeem with us.

However the Holsworthy pet food bank also have a policy that enables us to provide emergency food to a person who hasn't been able to get a food voucher or who hasn't been able to get to the food bank, just message the page if your unsure.

We are still accepting donations and at the moment we are in need of cat food wet and dry, we have a stock of dry dig food to keep us going for a few months. So if your considering donating then think cat food 🐱🐈🐈‍⬛

Donations are starting to come in as well as calls for help, we are desperately short of cat food so if you could kindly donate some that would be amazing. You can donate to the Holsworthy food bank basket in waitrose, to the food bank directly on a Wednesday or purchase from our amazon wish list, or you can donate via our just giving page or drop a donation off at one of our donation points.
