i have kissed soft muzzles, mended wounds, wrapped legs and spent sleepless nights on a hay bale in a freezing cold barn. I have cried and rejoiced in the same day. I curse unpredictable weather changes, loose dogs and unsupervised children. My horses eat better and dress better than I do. Ahhh the life of a freelance groom 🤣🤣 all your animals are treated just like they are my own. 💙💜❤️

Long post alert! Well Trek26 stonehenge....what a day. Early start but I'm so very glad I did chose an early start time as it gave me a bit of a jump on the heat.
The scenery and views on the entire trek were just stunning!! I did this on my own and I always said I'd just plug myself into my music and keep plodding but honestly, the birds were singing such happy songs, I chose to listen to them instead. I chatted with people on the route and met some real 'characters' 🤣
Everything was against me before starting this trek to be honest. About 3 weeks ago I went down a slide with solly on my lap and really hurt my coccyx. I thought just bruised but after reading further into this, I suspect I've actually fractured it...not ideal. I got bitten by something in the garden which although might not have been a tick bite, it might have been, so, I'm on 3 weeks of antibiotics and being treated for lymes disease just in case. These antibiotics make you sensitive to the sun, so I'm now a bit sunburnt. I've got a stinking cold, ongoing knee and back issues but do you know what?? None of that mattered as I was determined to do it. And I'm so chuffed that I did! Alzheimer's is a s**t Illness that needs to be stopped.
I chatted to my grampy on the way around and asked him if was enjoying the birds singing. I know he would have been. 😘🐦🕊

Now, I wouldn't normally post this here but i'm thinking my wonderful clients can help me out. I am £219 off of reaching my total target for the 3 marathon Alzheimer's treks that I'm doing. Perhaps if we do a timed sun dance, like when we all clapped for the NHS at 7pm, it might work? Power in numbers and all that?! Lol. I know everyone feels the same at the mo but my goodness it's not much fun out there are the mo! This is the first year that it's really got to me. However, I've had many lovely animals to look after which makes it a bit less of a slog. I hope you're all doing OK and holding on there. Here's just a few that I have seen recently x

Hi all, I'm still here.
I haven't been washed away or got stuck in the middle of a mud field....yet. it's still possible though...will it EVER stop raining?
I've been so rubbish with taking photos just recently because I've been concentrating more on staying upright whilst mud skiing or struggling to see where I'm going through the rain 🤣 but anyway, here is a VERY small lot of photos of some of the horses I've looked after recently. We're getting there everyone, just keep plodding 🤦🏼‍♀️🚶‍♀️🐴
EDIT! I should also add that I know everyone thinks their fields and yards are horrifically muddy BUT take it from someone that goes everywhere. EVERYONE IS IN THE SAME POSITION. DONT WORRY THAT IT'S JUST YOU! The days are getting longer, we are heading in the right direction.

Wowzers what a busy week! 37 horses plus my own looked after, 12 cows, 2 guinea pigs, 3 cats, approx 20 chickens and Cockerels, 5 goats, 10 pygmy goats and 13 sheep! and 2 poorly children to contend with, 1 of which is much better, the other will get there....I'm pooped! 🐈🐴🐮🐑🐐🐹🐔🐓

To all of my amazing clients who have kept me sooooo busy, you're all amazing and I'm as always, incredibly grateful to you all for choosing me to look after your herds/flocks/packs/broods/individuals lol. It means a lot that you all trust me to care for them as you would yourself. I'm still absolutely flat out at the moment so haven't got much time to stop over Christmas but will enjoy the time I have got with my little'uns who are very excited about father Christmas visiting! 🎅🏻
So, from my family, to yours, merry Christmas! I wish for you all to have a peaceful and restful time with those you choose to be with (animal or people lol). Much love Xx 🎄🎅🏻

I realised that I haven't posted any updates for a while. I've been a bit rubbish with taking photos recently 🤦🏼‍♀️ so here's just a few of the horses, cows, chickens etc that I have looked after recently. The weather has certainly not helped recently with various mud monsters 🤣

PLEASE READ!!!
Right folks, I'm sorry, I'm going to start annoying you all with my fundraising. Sorry.... Not sorry. Anyone can get this HORRIBLE Illness and we need to stamp it out. I'm doing 3 marathon treks (26 miles each) and need to raise AT LEAST £900!! I'm going to be doing a few draws over the next few months to raise money. My thought is to sell some numbers and do a live draw. The winner will win half the amount raised and the other half will go into my fundraising 'pot'.
