Mo is an older, domestic longhaired, girl who doesn't like to be fussed with too much; so this makes it tricky when grooming her! 💟💟

Mo is quite a big girl but she moves pretty quickly when she wants to, I regularly had to catch/stop her when she made a sudden dart to get off the table! I clipped some mats from her lower sides and some underneath and then gave her coat a good comb through. I trimmed her claws and cleaned her ears too. 🐾😺

I ended the groom early because Mo showed some signs of stress that I wasn't happy about, her welfare is more important than finishing the groom. It's likely I'll have to see Mo sooner for her next groom so we can keep on top of the mats. 💟💟

Geri is a young M c**n girl, she's not that great with being groomed by her humans so she has some matting on her underside. 💟💟

This was Geri's first groom with me so she wasn't quite sure about it, but she settled down quite well. It was tricky getting to some of the mats but with a few breaks I was able to clip them off. I also gave the rest of her fur a good comb through to remove the dead undercoat. 🐾😺

Geri enjoyed some Lick e Lix during the groom when I needed to distract her a bit. I also managed to trim her claws and give her ears a clean. I think the valerian pillow after the groom reward was a hit with her too 🌿🌿

This ginger beauty is Florence, she's a 5 year old domestic longhaired girl. It's pretty unusual to have the ginger colouring in a female cat, she's the third one I've groomed in the last two weeks! 🐾😺

Florence had some matting towards her tail on her back, she did ever so well during her first professional groom. I clipped the matting out and then gave her thick coat a good comb through to remove the dead undercoat and any small knots. I also trimmed Florence's claws and cleaned her ears. 🐈🐈

Florence quite happily posed for a few photos after her groom, she also enjoyed playing with the valerian pillow that I left for her. 💟💟

When I arrived I thought something was not quite right because there were no cars on the drive of Lorcan's home which is unusual. I knocked on the door several times with no reply. Lorcan's mum then arrived and looked very shocked when she saw me, but at least my journey wasn't wasted! 🤣🤣

Lorcan was very relaxed for the first 10-15 minutes of the groom, I think he was struggling a bit in the heat. In this time I was able to get most of the clip done, tidying up is always where Lorcan struggles and becomes very wriggly and it wasn't any different for this groom. 💟💟

Once the groom was over Lorcan gave me his usual moody stares for his photos 😻😻

Beau had her maintenance groom with me last week. She's got much better during our grooms but she likes to chat to me quite a bit too! 🐾😺

Beau is a really sweet girl, she's never aggressive but will suddenly try to make a sudden dart for freedom. 🤣🤣
Beau has a pretty thick coat so it's always a good workout for me. I was able to comb out a large amount of undercoat and I gave her a hygiene trim too. 🐾😺

I finished the groom off with a claw trim and ear clean, Beau was pretty relaxed after her pampurr session 😻😻

This is Bella, she's a domestic longhaired girl who doesn't let her mum groom her at all. She has alot of of Calico attitude so it was decided she would have a mild sedative for the groom. 🐾😺

Bella was definitely more manageable with a sedative but she still showed me who was boss! 🤣🤣 Bella was matted so a lion cut was the best option for her. This photo was taken straight after the groom while she was having a drink of water. 😻😻

Poli is an older M c**n kitten, she's a typical red girl, fiery!! I visit her every 8-10 weeks to see if she'll get used to being groomed, she doesn't want to sit still for long as she's always got more important things to do 🤣🤣

Poli gave me about 5 or so minutes where she stayed on the table and then she was off and was difficult to catch. People ask me how I keep cats on my grooming table, well most of the time I use my table up against a wall and then managed the other sides with my body/arms. Poli is a wriggly thing and is getting bigger so she's even harder to manage. Luckily she is food motivated so I am able to distract her with good old Lick e Lix to get the groom done 😋😋

Poli had a mat in her trousers so I clipped that out and gave her coat a good comb through. I also managed to trim her claws and clean her ears. Afterwards I sat with her for 5 minutes and gave her a big fuss. Hopefully with time she'll realise that this grooming malarkey isn't that bad 💟💟

Tincer had her maintenance groom with me recently, she's a domestic longhaired girl who keeps me on my toes during most of the groom. She likes to air chomp towards me when I do something she doesn't like! 🤣🤣

Tincer had a lion cut for her last groom so her fur has not fully grown but there was plenty of undercoat still to comb out. I also clipped Tincer's trousers so her mum can keep her a clean. The tummy was also trimmed because she doesn't like this being combed. 💟💟

Her fur is quite thick at certain times of the year, we've now got her on a more regular grooming schedule to prevent the mats sneaking up! 💟💟

I gave Hades coat a good comb through to remove the dead undercoat and any small knots, trimmed her claws and cleaned her ears. 😺🐾

Hades doesn't like the photo opportunity to show her best side so these are the onesthat I got! 🤣🤣

British shorthaired boy Yotto had his first groom with me recently. As with most BSH he has a very dense coat so he needs regular grooming to prevent it building up too much. 🐾😺

Yotto was very interested in me and my equipment when I first arrived. She he was first on my table, Yotto wasn't too sure about it but he soon settled down and I think he liked the fuss. 💟💟

I trimmed Yotto's claws and combed out quite a lot of undercoat. Yotto wasnt too keen on his trousers being combed so I did this in short bursts. He liked the lick e Lix treats too so this was a good distraction when I needed to comb any sensitive areas. 😺🐾

I tried to take some photos of Yotto after the groom but they were all blurry so these photos were taken by his mum a bit later. 😻😻

M c**n girl, Ruby was on my grooming table recently. This was her second groom with me and she did quite a bit better this time. 💟💟

I started the groom with trimming her murder mittens and then gradually working my way through her coat with a comb. Ruby had some mats on her chest and underside so I clipped those off. Ruby's mum was able to distract her with lick e Lix for most of the groom wheni it was needed. 😺🐾

Once the groom was finished Ruby actually didn't want to get off of my table, I think she was quite comfortable! 🤣🤣

Buttons had her maintenance groom with me recently. She's not a fan of this grooming malarkey but she actually did a bit better this time. 💟💟

Buttons loves having the front part of her being groomed but the trousers are the danger zone 😈😈 With a mix of short bursts of grooming, lick e Lix breaks and a good old fuss Buttons was done in no time. Her coat is pretty fluffy so I was able to remove quite a bit of undercoat and the odd knot. I trimmed her claws and cleaned her ears too.

Buttons gave me the stink eye afterwards but she was happily grooming herself just before I took her photos 🤣🤣
