We would like to wish all our customers & dogs a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We hope Santa Paws visits all our dogs as I’m sure they are on the good list😉. We also want to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you for keeping us so busy again this year and allowing us to look after your gorgeous dogs.

As is our Christmas tradition and in memory of the dogs who have sadly crossed the rainbow bridge this year we have made a donation to Diane Hart Collie Rescue and Rehab centre. They run an amazing kennel free Collie rescue in Pencader and do a fantastic job with what can sometimes be a quirky but beautiful breed, as I know only too well, with two of my own bonkers Collies🤣. It would be wonderful if you could give their page a follow to support them & to see some of the entertaining videos of their dogs.

Have you heard about the Pet Blood Bank?

Pet Blood Bank is a UK Charity that helps to save the lives of pets in need. The charity was set up to support vets by providing a blood service for pets, just like the one we have as humans. They run donation sessions across the country where owners bring their much-loved companions to give blood. The blood is taken to a processing centre in Loughborough where it is separated into different products. It is then stored and sent out to vets when they need it. It operates 24/7 to ensure blood is always available.

If they get enough registered donors they are hoping to run a donation session at All Pets Vets in Prestatyn and they are looking to raise awareness and recruit donors within the local area.

Here’s a selection of photos of the dogs who were staying this weekend with us, enjoying their outside playtime. They have all been so good🐶.

Summer bookings have well & truly kicked in and we have been super busy with lots of arrivals and departures, so our lovely customers can go off and enjoy their travels.

If you are visiting us over the summer just a gentle reminder of our opening times. It’s 9-11am or 3-5pm. We can do earlier in the morning by appointment, just ask me😀. As you know, we are a very small team and are open 7 days a week unlike other businesses and with Rich super busy on the farm at the moment it’s helps me if people keep to opening times…thank you.

Just a reminder we are fully booked now for this year, thank you for keeping us so busy. The 2025 diary is open for exsisiting customers only at this time📓. We have very limited dates now for May, July, August & September 2025.

The little Moorhen chicks are growing well, please watch out for them when you come down the lane as they are out and about now.

It’s been a busy one here @ Jessie’s. We have a few new dogs staying at the moment who have settled very well for their first time in kennels. Being a smaller place does help new dogs settle as it’s not overwhelming plus getting out regularly into the play area helps too, they have done so well.

Well weren’t we treated to a spectacular light show last night. I’ve travelled to Iceland, Lapland and even stood on a frozen lake in the Artic Circle for hours in the hope of seeing the Northern Lights but to no avail. So I was so excited to see them above our home last night. How beautiful were they? Did you see them?

Happy bank holiday weekend from our guests. Everyone staying this weekend has stayed with us before, many on numerous occasions and have settled straight back in, just like old friends😀🐶. They all enjoyed playing in the sunshine today.

If you are visiting us over the next few weeks please drive with care down the driveway as we have Moorhen chicks 🐣 on the pond. I tired to get a decent photo but Mum is hiding them well in the reeds. They are tiny balls of fluff at the moment, but will soon find their confidence and be off looking for food and will be wandering on the grass and driveway.

Happy Saturday to you all. The dogs have been loving the sunshine this morning as have I☀️.
I was proving popular earlier when brushing Luna the Golden Retriever outside. A Wagtail & a Crow were waiting patiently for me to finish so they could have her fluff. I took some photos of them collecting her fur to take to their nests, I’m sure it will make for a great nest lining 🐣.

Hello from all the dogs staying this weekend.

Well the April showers have been a bit more than showers haven’t they?🤣🤣 ☔️💧. So, on a brighter note, the first of our Swallows arrived back today, it’s so lovely to see them. They have already been checking out the barns to bag the best nesting spots.

With so much wet weather it’s no wonder I’ve been inundated with room availability enquiries but unfortunately I’ve only a few odd dates left now for this year. I think everyone is desperate for sunshine ☀️ 🏖️. I’m sorry I can’t fit everyone in, but as a small place we simply don’t have enough rooms for the demand.

I love finding out what people are doing while their dogs are with us. It’s so interesting and varied what people do.

As it’s April Fools Day……
To get that great shot of our dogs while they are on their holidays takes 100’s of rubbish photos, which is why our phones are full of dog photos. We have the dogs that no matter what we do will not look at the camera, then there are those that are so excited they can’t wait to get their photo taken 🤣🤣. Hello! Well, it’s certainly felt Spring like here today 🌷
I know it’s still January & the weather is lulling me into a false sense of security but I’ve enjoyed not having to wear waterproofs, thermals, gloves & hat or be blown around by gale force winds💨❄️🌧️
Anyway with the better weather I took some photos of our dogs. So here they are, enjoy their gorgeous faces🐶💕.

Room Availability Update:-
I can’t believe I’m writing this in January but last available dates for this year are now some dates in November & Mid December.
I’m not yet taking 2025 bookings, I need to get some 2024 months under my belt first.

An update on room availability for 2024:-
We’ve just got a few dates left now in April, October, November and December. School holidays and Christmas are full.

Due to the lack of room availability unfortunately I’m unable to take on new customers at the moment as I hate disappointing people but the business has grown massivley and we simply can’t fit anymore customers in.
