Here's a fine display of towels, drying nicely in the Autumn rain, each bearing the mark of a fine session of towel wrestling. The green smiley one was created by Rusty, the current champion.

If I have time, I like to engage in this activity with some of my doggies, and they seem to be particularly pleased when they hear the fabric rip.

"Moist" doesn't quite do it.

"Wetter than an otter's pocket" seems more fitting.

Dog walks tend to take longer this time of year, but it's not just me at the blackberries!

Here are Arwen & Bramble picking some off the bushes.

Unfortunately, I've been experiencing a rise in dog attacks as I go about my business, either directed at me or my dogs.

Today, a dog rushed across the road towards me in classic attack posture, but just before it could get to my leg, I was able to give it a good hard slap to the side of the head, enough to make it re-think its actions.

I think it's worth mentioning the law:
Basically, "It’s against the law to let a dog be dangerously out of control anywhere", and the penalties are severe.

Interestingly, a dog doesn't have to actually bite you for an offence to have been committed, you only have to be worried that the dog might bite.

Keep yourselves and your doggies safe, people.

Doodles.
Doodles everywhere.
From the left:
Arwen, Peggy, Bramble & Saffy.

This congregation happened because they heard the zip on my do***ng bag, the same sound they hear when treats are about to be delivered. Fear not, however, treats did get delivered after grabbing this dodgy photo.

Izzy and Oscar.

This is the first photo of these two together, as they have only recently been introduced.

Izzy likes her own space and gets annoyed if anyone invades it; she usually expresses her annoyance with a sharp-sounding 'yip', which Oscar quickly learnt to respect.

If he transgresses her unwritten rule now, she just looks at him and gives him the Evil Eye, which works nicely!

Now both have come to an understanding, they seem to get on well together, as long as Oscar doesn't try to step over her. :)

Here's my obligatory spring photo once again, this time showing the entire Hill Crew being good for a few seconds among the bluebells.

The contents of the group have changed slightly over the years, but Penny & Rusty are founder members, with Jetson (centre) being a relative newcomer.

They are dirty, dirty, naughty good doggies - all three like to eat poo if they get the chance; Penny likes rabbit poo, Rusty likes cow poo and Jetson likes dog poo. There are certain nutrients in cow poo that are good for dogs, but I don't quite understand the desire for dog poo, and attempt to avoid it happening if I can. Enjoy your breakfast! :)

Here's a nice happy photo to go with the arrival of spring.

At the rear is Eddy pup on the left, Dill on the right and Smiler - AKA Oscar owning the photo. A good hike up on the hills was had by all.

That's all my doggies cancelled today, due to 'inclement weather'.

I ventured outside at one point and had to duck to avoid flying wheelie-bins and untethered cats. Although I'm prepared work in any weather, I don't mind staying in today. :)

Um... no. :)
Oscar & Jasper voted unanimously not to proceed down this path, and I agreed with them.

Oscar on the left is a relative newcomer to Blackdown Dogs - a lovely Labrador pup, although Jasper the whippet is an old friend of several years standing.

Facebook's coding is getting progressively worse so I don't bother to post on here much. However, here are 3 little ladies entrusted to my care, being very nosey, for your enjoyment:

From left to right:
Peggy the Irish Setter, Arwen, a Labrador/Poodle cross, and Bramble, a Golden retreiver/Poodle cross - a labradoodle and a goldendoodle if you prefer.
