🎄🐾 Christmas Pet Sit 3 of 3: Gertie and Dolly's Holiday Adventures! 🐾🎄

This holiday season, I had the pleasure of spending 10 delightful days with the charming Gertie the Dachshund and the lovely Dolly the Cocker Spaniel. These affectionate and spirited dogs truly made every moment special.

Despite the strong winds, torrential downpours, and even snow, nothing could deter these adventurous pups from enjoying their lengthy walks. Our forest excursions were undoubtedly a highlight, filled with joy and boundless energy.

🎄🐾 Christmas Pet Sit 2 of 3: Barry & Brian's Cuddle Fest! 🐾🎄

I'm thrilled to share the second of our three festive pet sits this holiday season! I had the absolute pleasure of looking after these two adorable French Bulldogs, Barry and Brian, for a few days. These lovable pups brought so much joy and warmth to the season with their endless cuddles both day and night. ❤️

🎄 Christmas Pet Sit 1 of 3: Poppy, Darcy, and the Fab Four 🎄

What a joy it was to spend the holiday season with Poppy the Terrier, Darcy the Poodle, and their fabulous feline friends! 🐶🐶🐱🐱🐱🐱 I had the pleasure of sitting for them again, having first met this adorable gang during the summer. It's always heartwarming to be invited back and to see familiar furry faces.

Poppy and Darcy were full of energy and love, and the cats kept me on my toes with their playful antics. The bond we formed over the summer made this pet sit even more special. Looking forward to more cuddles and adventures with these lovely pets in the future!

🐾 New Furry Friends Alert! 🐾

We are thrilled to welcome two adorable new members to our Walk or Sit My Pet family! Meet Ted and Bella! 🐶❤️

Ted, our big-hearted Boxer Bullmastiff Cross, is the sweetest boy you'll ever meet. He might be built like a tank, but he thinks he's a lap dog! 😂 Even though he's big and strong, he's frightened of big dogs and sometimes even his own shadow. But don’t worry, Ted—everyone needs a gentle giant in their life! 🐕💖

Bella, on the other hand, is our little Jackapoo star who loves being the centre of attention. 🌟 She's super friendly with other dogs and spreads joy wherever she goes. Whether she's making new friends or just enjoying her walks, Bella is always the life of the party! 🐩🎉

We can't wait to share more adventures with these two! Stay tuned for more fun updates. 🐾✨

🎄 Walk or Sit My Pet Recommends: Dog-Friendly Gingerbread Cookies 🎄

With the stormy weather we're experiencing this weekend, it's the perfect time to stay in and enjoy some cosy activities with your furry friends. Why not try making these delicious dog-friendly gingerbread cookies? They're sure to bring some festive cheer to both you and your pets. 🎅🐾

Dog-Friendly Gingerbread Cookies 🎅

Ingredients:

🎅 3 cups whole wheat flour (or wheat-free flour for dogs with wheat allergies)

🎄 2 tablespoons ground ginger

🎁 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (keep this to a minimum as too much can lead to mouth blisters)

🥄 1/2 cup runny honey or molasses

💧 1/2 cup warm water

🥄 1/4 cup light olive oil or flaxseed oil

Instructions:

🎅 Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C) / Gas Mark 3.

🎄 In a large bowl, mix together the flour, ginger, and cinnamon until combined.

🎁 In a small bowl, stir together the honey, water, and oil.

🎅 Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until thoroughly combined.

🎄 Roll out the dough to about 1/2 inch thickness on a floured surface.

🎁 Use your favorite cookie cutters to cut shapes from the dough.

🎅 Lightly spray a baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray and place the cutouts on the sheet.

🎄 Bake for 20 minutes.

🎁 Allow the cookies to cool completely on a wire rack.

These festive treats are sure to be a hit with your furry friends! 🐾🎄

Ernie the Dachshund

In a world so big and grand,
Lives a Dachshund named Ernie, so small but so grand.
With his long body low to the ground,
In every corner, fun and mischief are found.
Leader of the pack, with a nosey streak,
Ernie loves to explore, play, and seek.
With Peanut and Poppie by his side,
Adventure and joy, they never hide.
Always happy, tail wagging with cheer,
Ernie’s friendly nature brings everyone near.
He loves his treats, and sniffing the ground,
In every little scent, wonder is found.
Friendly and playful, he’s a delight,
With other dogs, he’s always polite.
Ernie the Dachshund, so small yet so grand,
In a world of wonder, his joy will expand.
