Hi everyone!
Meet Hank, his owners came to me as he is very dog reactive and also fixates on people, bikes etc.
He Was a big puller on the lead which made him extremely frustrated which is also part of the reason he was reacting to everything!
So firstly had to sort loose lead walking to remove any lead frustration from him pulling which allows Hank and especially his owners to be calmer in situations and to have much more control over him.
We introduced a clicker to clearly mark good behaviours and choices. As Hank would react to a dog from the other side of the field we had to change the way he saw other dogs and improve his engagement with his owners so they could guide him to make the correct choices. Therefore from a safe distance, as soon as Hank saw a trigger we marked it with the clicker and his attention came back to his owners instead of fixating on the trigger.
In the second video is Hank gets a little correction for fixating on the dog and his attention comes back to me. Then Hank has another look and makes the correct choice by breaking his focus which we reward ๐๐ฝ I never want a dog to avoid their triggers as they wonโt learn what we need them to do in those scenarios, he made the wrong decision firstly then the correct one second time around this is when he will learn๐พ
More to come from Hank and his owners as he has made big progress in a matter of weeks! We are continuing to progress with his engagement with his owners and improving his threshold to allows us to get closer to his triggers ๐
More to come!!

Loose lead walking!
Benji walks very nicely now but thought Iโd show part of the process to getting your dog to walk nicely๐พ
Once you teach your dog what the lead means you can start adding in Left & right turns!
If you feel like your dog is about to go in front of you, throw in a turn! This will help keep your dog engaged with you! ๐ถ
If you want to learn this and get your dog walking nicely get in touch! Itโs very simple once you know the steps! ๐
Drop me a message! ๐พ
Ralph and Arla!!
Canโt have frenchieโs and not expect a bit of craziness on walks ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ
I always let them have there crazy moments, but being able to switch it off & control it is important! Throwing some training commands after Iโve told them enough craziness just makes sure I regain their focus and engagement on me๐๐ถ
Get in touch for training!!
Ralph and Arla loving their snuffle mats! ๐ถ
Snuffle mats provide good mental stimulation for your dog ๐๐ฝ they are very useful if your dog cannot go out for a walk or you just want some extra stimulation for your dog when at home๐พ they are both always tired after doing these ๐
Give it a go! ๐
Hi Everyone!
It was a very rare sight to see Archie relaxing ๐๐ he was literally a Duracell bunny and would not chill out at all, would constantly play with toys and seek attention all day & night. We made some small changes with his owners and over the last couple of weeks he has learnt to do nothing when itโs time to relax ๐. This is creating a better relationship with his owners as they now have a say in when itโs play time and when enough is enough ๐๐๐ฝ. His owners doing some training with him each day has also allowed him to be more mentally stimulated which results in a more relaxed dog ๐ถ
If your dog is constantly on the go and you want a calmer dog please get in touch! ๐๐ฝ
Going to be tackling his resource guarding when itโs comes to high value treats like chews etc. so keep a lookout for posts on that!
Hi Everyone!
Meet Archie! ๐ถ
Archie is lead reactive towards other dogs and sometimes people!
So we have started by sorting his pulling on the lead to help his owners handle him better, so they have greater control of archie in these situations.
Sorting lead pulling can be a great starting point to solve many problems you have with your dog. It allows them to be much more relaxed so they can make better choices.
It also allows you as an owner to be calmer and read situations better and to have greater control of your dog, as YOU the owner could also be the trigger to your dog reacting. ๐พ
We are Going to continue working with archie and his owners on his obedience and making him calmer inside the house so stay tuned to see his progress! ๐พ๐ถ๐ฆฎ
Donโt hesitate to get in touch! ๐
A lovely little clip from Bronsonโs owners of him practicing his commands! He is picking stuff up very quickly, as he would barely sit when I first met him!
Much more to come from Bronson and his owners ๐๐ฝ consistency is key!
Mastering training at home is one of the best things you can do for your dog! It will allow you to be much more confident when around distractions ๐
Drop Bronson and his owners a like for theyโre hard work! This is only just the beginning! ๐ถ
Having a solid foundation with your dog is so important, just a few pros of creating a solid base:
โญ๏ธ Better connection between you and your dog.
โญ๏ธ Greater control of your dog in many different situations
โญ๏ธ Stimulation! Training is a great way to stimulate your dogs brain ๐ง throughout the day.
Message me for training!
Will be my pleasure to help ๐ถ๐ถ๐ถ
They love this ball! โฝ๏ธโฝ๏ธ
I always try to involve myself when they playing by doing some training, I feel this can build a much stronger relationship between you and your dog by involving yourself in something that is fun for your dog ๐ถ give it a go!!
Ralphโs (left) down is so much more lazy ๐๐
Enjoy!
