Try as I might I simply cannot make one size to fit all. The current design will fit most small to medium sized dogs. However, dogs that would also benefit from it are the toy breeds and puppies.

So here is the first look at the baby harness for mini’s. I am currently testing the prototype before sending it out for a thorough test.

It is made from super thin flexible biothane, especially for those little delicate bodies.

One of the frequently asked questions is ‘what is the difference between Biothane and waterproof webbing?’

Quite simply Biothane is a trade name produced by a company in America. Like any company proud of what it produces they do not want any other brands being sold under their name. Biothane is a polyester webbing with a TPU or PVC coating to make it durable.

Waterproof Webbing is a similar product and coated with PVC. It is slightly stiffer than Biothane, but in my opinion performs just as well. I have used this product for a few years and the quality has always been consistent.

Biothane feels more rubbery and is more flexible.

As Biothane is imported from the US it is quite expensive to source. I like to be able to offer a choice and have been using the cheaper Waterproof Webbing for 4 years in my testing and it has performed extremely well with no signs of wear.

So basically it’s personal preference, if you want the real deal it does cost a little more. If you want practical, to do the job then Waterproof Webbing may be your choice.

I will follow up with a short video showing the difference in flexibility.

By the way, the Biothane is on the left of the picture, Waterproof Webbing on the right.
