Take an adventure through our beautiful Jungle Trail and spot amazing animals, incredible invertebrates and fascinating flora and fauna from around the world. The more time you spend exploring, the more you will

see and the more you will learn in our authentic tropical environment. Come along to one of our regular Animal Encounters to chat with one of our Expert Explorers, learn even more about some of our favourite residents, get even closer than you imagined and maybe even handle them yourself! Animal encounters run several times daily and a sample timetable is shown below, however these are subject to change depending on staffing and animal welfare. Check out our Director, Joe! He’s going to be running the Paris marathon to raise money and awareness of a disease he suffers from, Sarcoidosis!

β€œI'm scared and excited at the same time and also know that I've got a lot of work to do before the 13th of April.
Being a sufferer of Sarcoidosis has been hard and this marathon is to try and help raise awareness of this disease and also raise funds to help Sarcoidosis UK to do the amazing work that they do everyday.
I suffered initially in my lungs and people who know me personally would have known that I had a cough for quite a while. Sometimes in a conversation I couldn't get more than two words out before another cough. Now luckily I'm in remission which means I can run again! Not without struggle, you'll see that I wear a strip on my nose to help my breathing and I also use my inhaler.....

By adopting you favourite animal, you’re directly contributing to the care and conservation of your chosen species. It’s the perfect gift for animal lovers or a meaningful way to make a difference.

As a thank you for your support a custom made wooden plaque will be displayed on the animals enclosure, you'll receive an E-certificate and of course you can come along to see your favourite animal too!

Something a bit different, for the nature lover this Christmas?

These stunning entomological specimens have been lovingly preserved by our keepers after living out their full natural lives.

Unlike other examples you may see that will often be rearered and specifically taken on emergence from the pupae, these specimens will not be 100% pristine, their tatty wings a sign of their full life flying around our Jungle plants.

If found in good enough condition after passing naturally, our staff will position, dry and mount these butterflies, preserving their beauty.

These can then be used for entomological study or simply displayed as natural art.

We have a limited number available to purchase at zoo now and often prove very popular so won't be available long!
