🚨 DOG LOVERS: THIS COULD SAVE A LIFE 🚨

As temperatures rise, so does the danger for our four-legged friends. 🐶💔

Some need reminding of how deadly it can be to leave dogs in hot cars - even for "just a few minutes."

☀️ On a 22°C day, a car can reach over 47°C in under an hour.
🥵 Dogs can't regulate their body temperature the way humans do.
⏱️ Heatstroke can occur in under 15 minutes and it can be fatal.

💡 If you’re running errands, leave your dog at home in the cool.

🚫 Never risk their life for convenience.

🚨 What to do if you see a dog in distress in a hot car:

1️⃣ Assess the dog’s condition. Signs of distress or heatstroke? Call 999 immediately.
2️⃣ If the dog’s life is in danger and help won’t arrive in time, you may choose to act. Be prepared to justify your actions in court.
3️⃣ Tell the police what you intend to do and why. Record footage, take witness names.
4️⃣ Once rescued, move the dog to a shaded spot, use cool (not cold) water to bring the temperature down, and get them to a vet ASAP.
