A little late on the write-up - but better later than never!
Last week we had a very successful dressage outing to Felbridge with Prime Ponies' Rose & Riley.
Rose absolutely smashed her dressage debut. Completing a Walk & Trot & Prelim 7 to score 76.25% and 71.36% respectively to win both her classes!🤩 We are thrilled with her progress having only been with the PP team just shy of 4 weeks. Watch this space - Rose is becoming quite the dressage weapon!
Next up was Riley - owned by groom Nieve - who also completed the same tests. Nieve rode her debut (adult) dressage test picking up a very respectable 4th place on a whopping 70.75%! Freddie then had the ride in the prelim gaining 3rd place on 65.90% - some tension let them down, Riley thought he had hit the jackpot when he walked through the jumping warm up prior to his test, only to realise he was staying firmly on the flat for this outing😅. More dressage is definitely on the books for this boy. Now it's time to teach Nieve the moves he already knows, these two have so much potential!
All in all it was a great outing to get back on the competition circuit and both riders feel inspired to give it another go! Both ponies received really lovely comments from the judges and we see a bright future ahead for the pair of them! ⭐️🙌
Shout out to groom @shauna.m.ellis who came to the rescue with Fred's riding boots which she'd forgotten 🤦🏽♀️ and then provided moral support & videography which was very much appreciated!

4 weeks condensed into 40 seconds!
Meet Mia - she has been with us on re-backing & training livery, soon to be available for sale.
Mia is a 5yo Connemara x Cob mare, she's a sensitive girl and we have been working hard to get the foundations re-established. The first two weeks were solely spent on the ground - here at Prime Ponies we like to work from the bottom up, regardless of the horse's age/experience.
Spending extra time on the ground gaining Mia's trust and teaching her the aids has paid off & she's really starting to flourish under saddle and build confidence in the school.

🦄 LADY 🦄
Looking for a new home 🏡.
Here's what we've been working on recently...
Stormy has been levelling up his training and is now officially broken to harness - he's already proving to be an exceptional driving pony.
Thank you so much to my groom Nieve Smallwood and her mum Jacqui Smallwood for guiding me through every step of the way and allowing me to borrow your equipment. I'm so grateful for the excellent tuition and support you guys have provided for both me and Stormy.
I've never broken to harness before so this was a bit learning curve for me (and Stormy for being my guineapig).
Stormy is still looking for his forever home, he's such a versatile little guy and I would love to see him find his 'person' soon.
Please share if you know anyone looking for a drive or ride pony.
Low - mid four figures, offers considered.
On behalf of a client:
🌹 Rose - First ridden mother's dream, proven PC allrounder. 🌹
Approx 13hh, rising 6yo (passported age, teeth suggest rising 5yo - open to interpretation as she has a very mature outlook), coloured cob mare. Same home for over a year, unfortunately she is now outgrown.
Rose is a real darling, very good to do in all ways and polite enough for little ones to handle. Good to groom, bath, clip, trim, load, catch, lead, for vet/dentist. Up to date with teeth & jabs. Will live in or out, solo or in a herd.
Rose has completed hunter trials, XC schooling, rallies and showjumping. She is easy and versatile, happy to pop anything you put in front of her. She is light in the hand (snaffle mouthed) and will step up for a more gutsy jockey or plod for a more timid jockey. She is very honest at a fence, never quick or silly. She isn't a world-beater but you can certainly trust her to look after your child!
She is very good to hack, will go in front or behind, solo or in company, roads or open fields. Good in traffic.
Rose is clean limbed, no health issues, fit and ready to go.
A good home is priority for this much loved little mare. Mid four figures, sensible offers considered.
Gatwick based, excellent trial facilities.
Call/WhatsApp 07741 288451.
Just another day at the funny farm!
When I say 'good in traffic', I really mean it!!

🎥🎬 6 months in 60 seconds⏱️! Part 1️⃣
It's been so busy here at Prime Ponies HQ, I've barely had a chance to come up for air and share any content. Here's a little peak into what we've been up to through the summer and autumn.
🌻🐝🌞 ➡️➡️➡️ 🌬☔️🍂🍁
On reflection: We've had up to 17 horses at the farm this summer, 3 young horses successfully broken in, 2 foals weaned & happy, 2 broodmares back in foal and flourishing, a new 10 acre broodmare enclosure, 4 horses sold and on the side we've had a litter of 10 beautiful puppies! Its been a lot at times but we wouldn't have it any other way!

Looking for a new home 🏡.
Daphne - 15.1 (approx) 14yo Irish bred mare.
Suitable happy hacking home/sponsored ride horse/ladies hunter.
Daphne has a very kind and easy-going temperament, she's safe and sensible to do in all ways.
Good to groom, clip, load, travel, shoe, for vet/dentist. Lives in or out, very versatile mare.
Daphne is a pleasure to hack, she great in open spaces. She is good to ride solo/in company and is good with traffic. She is willing at a fence and enjoys jumping.
She is unsuitable for heavy schooling activities/tight turns when jumping due to stiffness behind. She is very willing and happy in work, however she would be better suited to a leisure rider as I feel she would be limited in a schooling situation (however with vetinary assistance and a good training programme she could build up to this).
She has been in the same home for 5 years, she has also been with me as a livery so I know her very well.
Daphne suffers with sweet itch and allergies, she is managed effectively with a bug rug, fly sprays and kill-itch lotion. Her eyes often get a bit weepy due to her sensitivities bit it doesn't affect her in any other way. This is reflected in her price.
For ⛵️ on behalf of the owner, she is only for sale due lack of time - her owner is now riding her daughters young horse whilst also owning a few miniature ponies for the younger children.
Good home is a priority for this lovely lady.
2🥕🥕🥕 - to include a selection of rugs.
Looking for a new 🏡.
Our first sports horse is now available!
Less 'pony' but still 'Prime' all the same.
Future event prospect/SJ/easy all-rounder.
George - 16.2hh 3yo (to make 17hh), gelding.
"Gorgeous George" as he's affectionately known on the yard is a very special boy. He has been impeccable to produce both on the ground and under saddle. He has been professionally backed in June and has since been produced very lightly in the school and out hacking. George is also very well established on the ground - he is working laterally in-hand and lunges long and low without lunge aids. He is very obedient to long-rein - even in open spaces.
George is proving himself very well out hacking, having recently just started cantering under saddle, he is sensible in company and by himself. (Add mention of road work when trialled on road.)
In the school we have asked minimal of him due to his age, he is started to take a connection with the bit and he has very good brakes/responsive to seat. Canter transitions are lightly established.
George has loose jumped and is showing a bold nature and good technique.
George is safe and sensible in every way, he has a labrador mentality and wants to be everyone's best friend. He is a very kind soul and one of the most genuine horses I've come across in a long time.
Due to his age and frame, we didn't want to over-produce him at this early stage in his career as he has a lot of physical maturing to do. We feel he is ready for someone to bring on and build up slowly over the winter.
George would make a very competitive amateur's horse for someone looking for a safe & sensible, but equally capable horse for the future.
Clean limbed, no vices.
Good to groom, clip, load, lead, catch, bath, for vet, for dentist.
Gatwick based.
Low 5 figures.
**Selling on behalf of a client**
8yo, 138cm, PB Welsh, bay gelding.
Brandy is an eye-catching gelding who would suit a competitive young rider looking to do pony BS. Brandy has already proven himself under a number of junior riders, with placings and numerous double clears BS. £42 winnings 46 points. Qualified BN second round. He is honest to a fence and will go on any stride, he has exceptional jumping technique and is proving to be very careful.
He was brought in 2018 as an unbroken 4yo project, since then he has been a fun all-rounder for both kids and adults. Brandy has competed SJ, dressage, ODEs, arena eventing and hunter trials so he could turn his hoof to any discipline.
Brandy is good to handle, even by small children. He is has a kind temperament with a little bit of spirit thrown in for good measure. Good to catch, groom, lead, load - in lorry (will load in trailer but needs a little encouragement), bath, plait, clip, for vet, dentist, farrier.
Brandy is a forgiving pony to ride, however a novice rider wouldn't do him justice as he is a powerhouse and loves his job.
Extremely sad sale due to finding his feet in the BS world. His owner is a senior and sadly her children aren’t established enough to justify keeping him.
Good home necessary!
Lots of photos and videos available on request from the last four years.
Super talented pony looking for a junior partner!
Prime Ponies Bella producing a lovely clear at 100cm yesterday at Pyecombe clear round training with me (Fred - PP boss).
It's nice to have the opportunity to get out on her as I often get so tied up producing the young ones that I don't have as much time to ride the established ones these days!
We might just try our luck at affiliated showjumping this winter... watch this space.

And we have another pony available for ⛵️.
A mothers dream!
Lily would excel at any of the following:
PC / Event / SJ / Dr / Showing / Hunting / Mounted Games pony.
137cm (to make full up 138cm), 4yo Reg Connemara mare.
Lily is the most straightforward youngster I've been lucky enough to produce. She has been with me since January and has been produced slowly from the ground up. Her ridden education began in May, since then she has been exposed to every scenario you could possibly think of, all of which she's taken in her stride.
Lily is a beautiful stamp of a Connemara, she is compact and correct with a leg on each corner. She is clean limbed with no blemishes.
Lily is proven over 60cm courses, with two clear rounds under her belt at a local show venue. She is honest and bold - familiar with fillers. Lily has also seen XC fences at home and is unphased by solid fences.
Lily is really starting to take shape on the flat - her frame and outline are improving with every ride. She is light in the mouth and responsive to the leg and seat, she is forward but in no way fizzy.
Lily is a Saint to hack, she will go in front/ behind/road/open fields. Snaffle mouthed at all times and always has brakes. Very good in traffic, used to farm machinery.
Doesn't buck/bolt/rear.
Good to catch, clip, bath, load, groom, tack up, for vet, for dentist, for farrier.
Lily is consistent to ride even when in season, however she can just be stroppy to other horses when it's her time of the month. She's turned out in herds/solo and will settle either way.
Lily loves a fuss and a cuddle, she's been handled and ridden by small children and is proving very sensible.
Based Rusper (West Sussex/Surrey borders) on a yard with great trial facilities.
