Phoebe did amazing today. It was her 3rd session with me and first full groom. We have been getting use to the sounds etc of RuffCutz and although wary of the feeling of the clippers cutting through her hair, she soon realised it's not too scary. Well done that girl 😊❤️🐾

Binky is not keen on a groom but we have made huge progress since coming to RuffCutz. She originally would not even look at me and sit with her back to me for as much of the groom as she could. She would panic if I picked up a foot and back away and sometimes squeal in anticipation of something she did not like.

This is today and so proud of the trust she is showing me. We don't get that perfect groom but we do get a Binky that is comfortable and happy and she shows me some love and that's what it's all about at RuffCutz.

Delivery day ..... love my Simpson brushes so reordered. 8 years of grooming and nothing I have tried comes close and I have tried some insanely priced brushes that sit doing nothing but look pretty 🤣🐾❤️

🐾Customer Notice

I have now gone through the 2025 calendar and sent out email confirmations for those that have requested to be booked in up to June 2025.

I have a couple of you in next week that your slots are pencilled in at the moment as I need to check a couple of things with you.

If you have messaged to book but received nothing to confirm then please do let me know. The diary has filled up fast. Please bear in mind that if you have not block booked then you may not get the schedule you would like/need but I do have slots left.

A reminder that I do intend to only be open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in 2025. Thank you for keeping me busy.

Customer Notice🐾

I have been working through the list of block booking requests and provisionally put everyone in that has emailed or text me with their preferences. My brain is frazzled.

I now need to confirm these on my system and emails will start going out. Trying to please everyone seems an impossible task and the early slots have been very popular but I have tried to share these out. I have done the best I can so please bear in mind that there will be a reason that you have maybe gone slightly off schedule due to my holidays or not got the exact preferences requested.

Once you have received your emails, and there will be an email for each appointment up to June 2025, please shout me if you need to change any and I will do my best to accommodate you.

Thanks for keeping me super super busy......please no more of you getting second or third dogs, you need to stop or I will be back working full time 🤣😎😍🐾❤️

Three of the dogs today have been to me since a puppy and Mickey has been with me since I started grooming. He is getting on a little so if a lie down is needed then that's what he has ❤️❤️🐾

I picked a good week to rest and recover. Early morning walk done with my 2. They were lucky I was awake before 8.30am or we would have missed a walk with todays heat. Up and out just after 7am to keep them safe.😊❤️

Currently sat in the garden with my list of block bookers. Thank you for getting back to me. I am working through that list starting with those of you that have specific days/times. I am also messaging those that would normally block book that I have not heard from. No pressure to block book at all but my system has failed me this time around and I am aware that some did not receive the mass email.

Ruffcutz will be closed from the 25th July until the 4th August. Whilst I am off recovering from a minor op, I shall start to organise the 2025 diary. Thank you to all that have asked to book in, you have been added to my list so do not fret if I have not responded.

Anyone wishing to add your dog to the list for 2025, please let me know ASAP so that I can accommodate your preferred days and times . I shall be opening Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays in 2025 and only block booking the first half of the year.

Daisy shakes like a leaf coming through that door and despite not liking those pads being cleared, she tolerates me and then smothers me in kisses. The shaking stops once we are in and started. Such a sweetie♥️🐾

8 year old Riley in for his first teeth cleaning session. I have groomed Riley since a puppy and he is chilled with grooming and tends to fall asleep. It seems he is no different during teeth cleaning . I hold the brush for as long as Riley lets me, when he moves away I let him. I only need to hold the brush for seconds at a time and just repeat until the plaque/tartar softens enough to rub off with the eraser or pick off with my nail. ❤️🦷🪥🐾

Winnie is full of energy and the ability to stay still is minimal 😂. A reassuring hug in between grooming sections goes a long way 😂❤️🐾

Happy Easter to all my lovely clients. I hope you get some lovely muddy miles in over the weekend. We are off on our adventures with plenty of towels and doggy shampoo 😎😆🚐♥️🐾

Excuse the state of the worn out old dog groomer 🤣 A short video of the brush doing its stuff. It only needs to be held on the tooth for seconds to start softening that build up. Shadow did far better than I expected today. Gold star to the little fella 🌟❤️
