Oakley the Bengal is Ozzy’s big brother and yes that is how he uses the litter tray! He is just so sweet and full of energy and mischief.
He can open all of the doors and drawers in their suite and has even learned how to open the mini fridge which keeps their raw food in 🙈😂 Thank goodness for Tupperware!
One of their many cute habits is that they both do high fives for treats🥰
I can remember their first visit when Ozzy was a little kitten. He used to jump on Oakley’s head at every opportunity 😂. Oakley was so patient with him, and is still such a lovely big brother to him. They are a double act who I absolutely love looking after. ❤️😻🥰

One of our gorgeous guests Charlie, who is in the Cosy Suite. He’s a beautiful British shorthair with the biggest personality. Full of mischief, play and purrs and he loves a good snooze too! He’s another long stay so will have been here over three weeks when he leaves next Friday 🥰😻❤️ as you can see from some of the photographs he is currently safe in the top of one of his indoor cat trees, watching the storm 🍃🍃☔️🌧️🍃🍃

After three weeks, Casey Jones and Cowboy Joe are leaving me today 🥲
I have loved every moment of looking after them .
This is them this morning. So
many cats are frightened of the Window Cleaner. In the past if I know a cat doesn’t like it I will ask them not to do the rooms that the cats are in, but not Casey Jones and Cowboy Joe - as you can see, they thoroughly enjoyed it!
I will miss Cowboy Joe licking my feet (and occasionally my leg) at every opportunity. I will miss Casey Jones crazy half hours chasing the laser pen. I will miss being greeted by two such beautiful, lovely natured boys. I get so attached to my guests, even when they just come for a weekend day stay…. I must not cry. I must not cry. I must not cry. I must not cry when they go!!😻😻❤️

I was going to do a post with a a photograph from the Cat hotel, but then I got this beautiful picture of Paddy last night snuggling into my dressing gown and I had to go with that one!
My Rosie will have to make an appearance soon too!

There are so many ways that people can contact me whether it is by this page, my private messenger x 2 on WhatsApp, text, my website, Google, Google Maps…. it is rather overwhelming and I don’t want to lose track of people!

❤️Also just a gentle reminder that I will revert back to not replying to emails on a Saturday and Sunday. I understand that is when you may be looking at holidays but I am spending my weekends not only looking after my furry guests but answering phone calls and replying to emails about bookings. I’m not getting a break as I suffer from politeitis and feel guilty if I don’t reply!
But I’ve had a really horrible infection and I found myself replying to emails at 11pm on Sunday night when I really should have been resting and getting well and it really is a sign that I need to be firmer with myself and have stronger boundaries. Totally my fault!
So if you do email on a weekend, if you could just bear with me. I’ll get back to you at the beginning of the following week.

This post is really for me as much as anyone. The admin side of running my Cat Hotel the way I want, can be very time consuming. I could just automate everything but I don’t think that’s right for a bespoke service. So I am not complaining, just explaining!!
It’s still the best job in the world and I know how blessed I am to be able to do it ❤️😻

So after all of that, for 2025, with your help I’m going to try harder to have a better balance!

Casey Jones and Cowboy Joe. I know a lot of you love Maine c***s so I thought you would like to see two of our current guests! Cowboy Joe is the tabby and Casey Jones is the black smoke Maine c**n. They first came when they were kittens and I haven’t been able to take them again until now. I was so excited for their arrival. As I write this Cowboy Joe is licking my feet, his favourite past time 😂 Casey Jones is much better at being brushed and has the most gorgeous fur whereas Cowboy Joe is not such a fan! They both love to play, are so loving and are stunning! 😻😻❤️

Two of my New Year cats are leaving this morning, Milo ( black and white) the most adorable loving funny cat who I have had so much love and fun from and Pixel (grey and white) came last year at the same time for the first time as a little kitten and although he has grown a lot, he is still quite small.

He had been in a cattery earlier in the year when I had no space and as often is the case after not the nicest of environments, he was quite wary of me and did big long hisses! I’m surprised he could keep them going so long!

Patience pays and after he rolled on the floor for me on his second day ( stroking was allowed once!) I knew he’d be ok. He became, as he is now, the happiest little soul. He again is so full of love and mischief and playfulness. I’m going to miss them both 😻😻❤️

Finally!!!! The best Christmas present I could have received, never mind Harry! After a year of being left behind Harry has found his forever home!!!

If you follow the cat hotel you will know I’ve been trying my best to help to find the home he so deserves after he was rescued from a life on the streets by my neighbour, Clare.
It was later found out he has FIV and although cats can live long and healthy lives with it, no-one would rehome him🥲
Until now!!!!!!
Thank you, a million times thank you, to the couple who have adopted him ❤️😻

This is a bit of a different post, but I thought I should pop it up here as it will hopefully reassure owners who bring their cats to the cat hotel as to what happens if I notice anything about their furbabies that I’m concerned about.

This is the beautiful Indie, short for Indigo and she stayed with us in November.
I spotted some blood in her urine. I checked the cameras I have in every suite and she had been on the litter tray 20 times during the night. Obviously, she needed to see the vet.

So I rang her lovely owners in Disneyland Paris, as agreed, if anything was wrong. And between us all, including my assistant, we arranged for Indie to be seen that day at the hotels vets, SimplyCats .
It required an email from Indie’s usual vet to SimplyCats with her medical history and I also registered her with them.
She saw the lovely vet Michelle who diagnosed a bad case of inflammation, confirmed by a urine sample we managed to obtain. She was given some Metacam which is excellent stuff.
She had suffered a few times with it over the few months before her visit and is now receiving ongoing treatment for inflammation of the bladder.

As you can see the trip to the vets, a few minutes from the hotel didn’t faze her at all! And she was soon back up in her favourite place when she returned. I gave her a little gabapentin before her trip just to keep her nice and calm.

So please know that I will always take the greatest care of your furbabies. They are watched like hawks! I love each of them like my own and will always do my best for them , as will my assistant ❤️

Can you spot Ozzy the Ragdoll, Oakley the Bengal , Callie the Calico, Lola white & black and Luther (1st time guests who did amazingly 🥰) beautiful Indie, adorable Graye and Penny, Lunacorn the Ragdoll who has her own unicorn plate at the cat hotel, and last but never least, Snowball our one, off licence cat, who has a bo***ir in our bedroom 🥰❤️

**Update - Princess has been reunited with her twin sister and is home 🏡😊

Someone kindly came out and scanned her and she had a microchip. She is from Hartlepool. A very long way from Easington Lane! ❤️

Lost cat in Easington Lane -

This beautiful cat is living in a shelter in the garden of a man who has just been on the phone to me.
She is clearly not a stray as she is very friendly and in such great condition. I think she’s probably at house cat that has escaped.

He has been feeding her for around about five weeks but isn’t on Facebook so hasn’t had this resource to hopefully help find her owner. The bigger charities have not been a lot of help so he has reached out to me.

I have rung a scan angel, but I haven’t had a reply, so in the meantime, I thought I would post her photograph and hope it can be shared and somebody recognises her/him - she’s clearly very distinctive.

Please share widely.
If you know someone who could scan her for a chip that would be great.
🙏🙏 We can get her back to her owner ❤️
