An absolutely brilliant day yesterday at Thoresby Park Pawsby Fun Dog Show putting on a display covering Working Trials, Scentwork and Obedience.
Great weather, super venue and an absolutely fantastic group of handlers and dogs. The dogs all did brilliantly in the busy, noisy environment.
Thank you to everyone involved for all your hard work, we had a great team of handlers and helpers. 🐾😊

Update on last night's message....

This is Scott , Linda's son.
Just to let everyone know that my dad, Richard, Linda's husband sadly passed away suddenly and unexpectedly last night.
As you can imagine she is in shock and emotionally distraught. She will not be answering her phone for a few days but any messages will be passed on and I'm sure once she has come to terms with her loss she will respond to you all.

A great tracking workshop today. All the teams have progressed brilliantly. We covered aged tracks, cut backs and articles. We ended the session with the beginners completing a UD track and the more experienced teams worked a complex track that was over 3 hours old. All of them were brilliant 👏⭐

UPDATE RE DISPLAY TEAM.
We are planning our first meet up/training/organising session for Sunday 12th May from 12 noon, after the usual Sunday morning class.

Just a reminder folks - there will NOT be a Sunday morning class 28th April as Kev and myself will be at a Working Trial competition.

The Open Working Trial is being held reasonably local on the 26th, 27th 28th April.So why not have a day out over the weekend ? 🌞🙂 Come and see what it's all about and support competitors from the club.🐾🐾
Anyone can come along to watch and you will be made most welcome. Just turn up at the base and ask if someone can show you where the best place is to watch....Tracking, obedience and agility will be on every day
Refreshments including cakes, hot food and bacon butties - the staple diet of a trialist 😄 will be available, so go on, treat yourself 😋

Hi folks
We've been asked to organise a team to put on a display at Thoresby Hall's Dog Show in July. If anyone is interested in taking part please let me know.
You will need to be able to commit to attending the show on Sunday 21st July and to attending various training sessions. We have done this before and you'll have lots of fun. Dogs at all stages of their training will be able to join in.

Training class will go ahead tomorrow morning Sunday 24th March, start at 9.30am. Weather forecast looks ok. 🤞

The paddock is a bit soggy so parking will be up in the stock yard. Please be considerate and park sensibly, do not park on the lane or near the caravans.

Hi folks Phew....looks like we finally have some dry weather 🌞🌞 so before the snow ❄️☃️ comes we have decided to go ahead with the Sunday class tomorrow 7th Jan 9.30am start🐾😊 The paddock is still quite soggy so suitable footwear is recommended!!!

NOTICE Sadly we're cancelling class today 😥It's been raining through the night and not too good this morning so the paddock will be extremely soggy and unsafe. Great morning at the dog club today. Lots of training, fun and laughs. Well done everyone.

Great time on Monday introducing some lovely teams to Urban/town trailing. Everyone was awesome and dogs and handlers did some super work. Dogs were confident and commited and the open doors of the Indian restaurant and the chippy didn't put them off finding their missing person 🐕😊 They also covered high scent, decoys and a brilliant scent discrimination at the end. It's just amazing watching what these boys can do. Trailing through Ashbourne town centre with lots of distractions and junctions but they still found their missing person. Even took scent from a tree where someone had just touched it, then went past shops, people, food, dogs, around corners and across roads and found their person 🙂 brilliant.
