Let’s talk matted doggos.

Have you got a long haired dog?
Cockapoo, Cavapoo, terrier, anything that knots easily?
Maybe you have just a pin slicker brush? ❓

Your main tool to keep up with your doggo’s coat is a COMB. Just like the one pictured. Without a handle.
Not a ‘detangle brush’, not a ‘brush’. But a comb 🙂‍↕️

A comb will target any knots, and help you to remove them before they turn in to matts! ❌

I don’t want to shave your long coated dog down, just as much as you don’t. But without a comb, it is very likely I’d have to shave patches out or dematt your dog completely

Back for their regular deshed and trim de le trims. A nice little trim on their feets, butts, skirts and legs ✂️

This time though, we had a little go with the The Pawdinary Grooming Supplies Blow out deshedding shampoo 🫧

Mum messaged to say it’s made a difference! Reducing the amount of shedding at home 😌

🙌🏻 I would just like to say a biggg thank you to every single one of you that bring your fur babies to Wildflower 🌿
I could not ask for for better clients, and doggos to groom - every single one of them 🫶🏻

I’d like to thank all of you that continuously support my socials too by liking my posts, commenting and sharing! I always notice 💫

Wildflower has made me so much happier, and I just can’t believe how many of you have trusted me and kept coming back, it really does means the world! 💫

I love what I do, hence why I’m open 8am- 7pm 6 days a week! 😊 I pour my heart in to every little step to make grooming as relaxing/ fun as I possibly can. And when some of your fur babies come in nervous for the first time, then come back wagging their tails and pulling me in the house the next time, I know your doggo is happy to be here 🥰

This full time self employed, one man band life has caught up with me now, and I’m a bit tired 😅

So, I’m going to have a very small break from Wednesday 27th November - Sunday 1st December 🗓️
Just to rest my mind and my body (grooming is very physically demanding!), so I’m fully charged for the run up to Christmas! ✨

So if you would like your babies grooming before or straight after then, then please do book. And get your Christmas grooms booked in, if you haven’t already done so! 🎅🏻

He doesn’t have the usual Schnauzer trim. Instead, a soft teddy like trim with a round face, instead of chizzelled face 🫶🏻

This was this little lady’s first time with me, and what an angel she is ✨
She had a nice short blade on her body and legs, with her face trimmed short and round to still keep her cutesy features 💁‍♀️

Winnie & Nala 🧡❤️

It’s been a while for these two ladies. Winnie’s latest experience at the groomers wasn’t great, so Mum n Dad have been very wary taking them to a groomers again.

Winnie has had a bit of a hard time being home groomed since she was last at the groomers, so it’s been hard to keep up with her coat. So, unfortunately, due to knots, it had to come off.
But! A silver lining! We can start all over again, knot free, and with lots of training & reassurance from her parents, we can get her coat back to Nala’s length! 💫

She was super scared at first, going for the clippers. But this doesn’t mean she’s aggressive, she was just frightened that she might get hurt again.
But we got there!! Super proud, she could’ve been a lot worse 😌

Not forgetting Miss Nala, who was a very good girl too. 💖
They’re rebooked for in about 5 weeks so we can keep on top of her coat, and Winnie can feel a lot more comfortable being at the groomers again 💕

Eric 🩶
This beautiful Schnauzer boy is struggling to stand up now, so I let him lay down as much as he can.
I’ve been grooming Eric for a couple of years now. It’s sad when you see dogs getting older, but we work with each other through his groom.
If he wants to lay down I’ll work with what I can, and when he stands I’ll let him have laying down breaks.

He’s such a good boy. He has more of an ‘Eric’ trim, to blend in his bigger areas. I took his legs shorter this time so his coat is more manageable between grooms ✂️

🫐 We don’t use shower gel on our face, so why should your dog have their face washed with their shampoo?
Facials are just a kinder shampoo, specifically designed to break down dirt, whilst being kind enough to not harm your dog if they lick it.
And not too harsh on their pretty little sensitive faces 🫧

Facials are included in all grooms, for every breed and every age. At no extra cost 💫

Nala 🤍

Miss Nala came for her first ever groom! She was a bit nervous to start. Mum was worried as she’d tried her with the blaster (high velocity dryer) before, and she was very scared.

But after lotssss of reassurance and going from low speed to gradually increasing, she was soon stood up on the table and letting me dry her at full velocity! Super proud 🌟🫶🏻
