Although the month of October is designated as ADHD Awareness Month, learning and sharing information about ADHD is beneficial all year long!
Our intuitive horses have a special way of working alongside individuals; learning and sharing information us mere humans may not read .Also there is no better learning environment than the freedom of the great outdoors where nature and nurture go hand in hand . 🐴🌳

It was lovely to work today with each of our herd and a long standing client . I asked them to assess what they felt the horses biggest “ need” was this ranged from picking up on an insect bite and applying fly repellent to noticing a slight crack in the hooves and applying hoof oil .
Horse care builds confidence and life skills the ability to assess needs is rewarding for the human and horse equally

These are not my words but I echo every one of them horses show us the way and guide our journey.

Make Them Carry Their Saddle 🐴

A father of a darling girl and I were talking last year and he said that he wanted his daughter to ride more and not have to do the work part of the catching, grooming, and saddling. I smiled as I explained.

Riding horses is a combination of strength, timing, and balance. Kids in this country are physically weak (unless they are actively involved with weight training and physical conditioning 4+ times a week.)

When you walk out to the field, you are clearing your stress from being under fluorescent lights all day; feeling the sun soak into your bones. As your body moves on uneven surfaces, it strengthens your legs and core.

When you groom your horse (especially currying), you are toning your arms and stabilizing your core.

When you carry your saddle, your arms, chest, and back are doing isolated strengthening work.

Being near horses, calms and makes you tune into the splendor of these empathetic animals.

When you ride at a posting trot, it’s equivalent to a slow jog calorie burn wise.

After a lesson, the riders are physically tired and mentally quiet and balanced.

Horses feel your heart beat and mirror your emotions back.

Riding large and somewhat unpredictable animals makes you resilient and pushes your expectations.

Working with horses is so much more than learning how to ride.

Horse assisted development today . After some self selecting of herbs like horses do in the wild we came to the conclusion Biscuit and Theo were itchy !So we decided to bath them with “anti-itch” shampoo here they are post pamper in the after bathing robes . 😊🐴

Biscuit wanted to be involved in today’s Horse assisted development session, he was keen to know what seeds we were planting. I think he was hopeful we are growing some carrots 🥕🐴
When our backs were turned collecting more water he decided it was fun to upturn all our equipment foraging for carrots we haven’t yet grown 😂

A lovely visit today with this little one and their Grandma . The hens enjoyed their sweetcorn treats and a few delicious treats may have gone Biscuits way 😊. A natural around the animals with Grandmas guidance lovely to see this shared interest 🥰😊

All walk and no play leads to a dull day for our canine friends….. I provide exercise and play for your dog in an environment safe for all . On-site enclosed field for extended play time before or after a walk. Let’s remember the risk to livestock when we walk our dogs through fields and vice versa .
