Did you know that most cases of Alabama Rot (CRGV - cutaneous and renal glomerular vasculopathy) happen between November and May? The exact cause is not yet known, but muddy dog walks in woodland areas are thought to be a factor. Take care to wash and dry your dog thoroughly after a wet and muddy winter walk, and you can also check if there's any known cases reported in your area, on the Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists website: alabama-rot.co.uk. ❗If your dog develops skin lesions or ulcers after a muddy walk, contact your vet immediately❗

Sorry for the late responses to everyone’s messages! My little girl has had chicken pox so we’ve been dealing with that.

Also just so everyone is aware that I will be taking some time off after Christmas. It won’t be for long but I will discuss this with those who’s appointments will be effected by it ☺️thank you

𝗦𝗖𝗔𝗠 𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚: We have been made aware that someone is calling people claiming to be from Donaldsons Vets to say we have their lost pet and they need to pay a vet bill over the phone before they can collect their animal. This is a particularly cruel scam as the caller(s) are giving the owner the hope that their animal has been found, as well as trying to take their money.

Sadly we believe whoever is making these calls is researching social media platforms for lost pets and targeting the owners.

Please be cautious if you ever receive such a call - it is unlikely to be genuine. If you are concerned, hang up and call us back on OUR number so you know you are definitely talking to one of our team.
