Dave the Cat

Dave passed away on 16th February 2023. He was involved in a car accident outside the Junction pub in Golcar.

The people involved gave him love, care and comfort and took him to the vet immediately. Unfortunately, he was euthanized due to his injuries on arrival.

Dave was fiercely independent and lived a great life with support from the lovely people in his community, who watched out for him and offered him food and shelter.

A huge thank you to everyone in Dave’s life!

My name is Dave. I’m a stray cat that lives on Station Road in Golcar, you might have seen me hanging around. I’m not lost.

I don’t like being indoors, it scares me. People have offered me a home in the past but I have lived on my own for so long now that I’m used to it and I like it.

I have friends around Station Road that feed me and I have a bedroom that I can use in a garage with a cat flap.

Sometimes, if my friends are not around and I am really hungry I might ask you for food. You don’t have to feed me, but if you want to and you can then please do. I’m not being greedy, I eat a lot of food as a stray cat.
