The Pooch Parlour was established in 2014 and we have come a long way since then, overcoming bad luck and injuries to still be open. This year (2020) has been particularly tough, but we survived and continue to deliver an excellent service for your pooch. We ask that new clients make an appointment for a free consultation before booking that first groom. I am a fully insured and qualified dog groo

mer who loves my job and will treat your dog as though it was one of my own. We require a deposit of £10 per dog to secure an appointment. Our contract terms and conditions can be found on our website: www.pooch-parlour.com. The Pooch Parlour rents a table to . Lydia grooms larger breeds and has availability outside of my hours. Lydia has been at The Pooch parlour for approximately 2 years now and has met most of my regular pooch clients.

We have young guppies x endlers for sale. Homebred, starting to colour up nicely now. We do have both males and females, but females will be pregnant due to not separating males fast enough. Best kept as a shoal of either just females, just males, or if a mix 1 male to 3 females works best. I have fish bags for transportation.

My male guppies have gone into retirement at a guppy only tank at the salon. So here are my new fish. 2 German Ramirezi and Colombian Tetras which look like mini Piranhas. Once the Rams are settled they will get really colourful

Don’t forget that the last Thursday of the month is Purrsday at The Pooch Parlour with cat only grooms and nail trims. We open from 3pm to late to groom your gorgeous cats. Still have some appointments left on Thursday. This is a new service for The Pooch Parlour, there are 2 groomers to 1 cat to ensure a relaxed environment with lots of cuddles and breaks 🐈🐾

Deposits. Please don’t be offended if I ask to take a deposit. I have been back less than a week and already had 4 last minute cancellations. So new customers/repeat offenders for a full groom/bath and brush are required to pay a deposit. This can be paid via bank transfer, PayPal or I can send a payment link to pay by card.

My small business can’t afford to lose out on £150 a week because “something has come up”. This is my work, my only form of income, a serious business and not a hobby. I don’t work from home so I have 2 lots of rent and bills to pay a month. Rant over.

Thank you to my regular customers who have kept me going through Covid and the cost of living crisis, you are why I am still grooming and why The Pooch Parlour has lasted nearly 10 years.

Check your pooches for ticks guys, this is the first one I’ve seen in over a year, so I know you are doing a good job preventing them. I will safely remove ticks as part of your dogs groom (notice the head and legs are still on the tick I removed). Also had first case of fleas in about a year. I flea treat my salon regularly and sell natural flea and tick repellents you add to to your dogs food or water. Google CSJ Billy No Mates, it’s amazing stuff 🐾

Looking through old Pooch parlour files on my computer and I've just found this! I never posted it because it was around the time I decided to change location and image. It's still so cool though! Any dog owning Metallica fans out there?

Posted with owners permission, here is Woody the border terrier being hand stripped. Hand-stripping is taking out the dead hair by hand leaving the coarse, waterproof hair on terriers, or silky hair on spaniels. A handstrip may not be possible if the dog has been neutered or clipped in the past. As you can see from the vid this does not hurt the dog at all and Woody is comfortable throughout. The Pooch Parlour has an offer of £5 off hand-stripping until the end of March

Frankie was terrified of the blaster the first time she came to me, but now she just wants to play with it. She has visited me regularly since she was 6 months old and now is fantastic to groom! It's really important that pups and nervous dogs visit regularly so their groom is a positive experience for them!

Asten being dried on his 3rd puppy intro. He has been coming to me since he had his 2nd set of injections. He would not stay still and was really frightened of the driers on the first visit, but just look at him now. This is why it's so important to book your pup in early for their groom. I recommend a week after their 2nd set of injections. The earlier they come to the grooming parlour the more relaxed they are with the groom

Our Story

The Pooch Parlour was established in 2015 on Britannia Road in Milnsbridge. We moved to Yates Lane in September 2017 to grow our client base, but also the salon is much nicer and dogs are happier here.

I am a lone groomer who works one to one with your dog. I only ever have members of the same family in at the same time so your dog can relax.

I am fully qualified at Level 2 and groom to Level 3 standard and have over 3 years of experience in grooming. And of course The Pooch Parlour is fully insured.

I look after your dog as if it were my own (the picture at the top is my little chihuahua x called Toby). I bring Toby with me to the salon so if you have a dog who is not dog friendly, please let me know on booking your appointment.
