Our Story

At home in the country Ltd was born over a long Sunday lunch in December 2012 at the home of Guy and Georgie Robinson in the historic village of Farnley Tyas. We have three children, Rosie, age 15, Annabel, age 13 and last but by no means least the wild man himself, Billy, age 8, chairman of the very fashionable "Billylinks" range of sporting cufflinks! Farnley Tyas is a beautiful hilltop village, just south of Huddersfield and is surrounded by glorious fields and woodland. We have a church and one pub, The Golden C**k. Everybody knows everybody, what they have done, what they are doing and when they've done it. Village gossip keeps the teacups full and hilarious Yorkshire banter keeps our very important local pub nice and busy. There are two farms in the village producing both beef and arable. The beef is sold to Morrisons supermarket and all parties are happy! We have a very well organised shoot which takes in most of the surrounding land and on the first and third Sunday of each month there is a very popular clay shoot. Recently a fantastic cross country course has been developed for keen horse riders. From novice to Fox-Pitts! The course is expertly managed by Farnley Estates Ltd and has become very popular. I counted over 30 horse boxes in the field this morning! We love our village, the countryside and everything that comes with it. We have designed and produced our own ranges of home accessories, tableware and giftware for over 25 years and so we thought why not set up a website selling our beautiful and unique products to country people and their homes. We also supply our products to some of the finest Palaces, Castles, Country Houses, Hotels and businesses in the UK.
