That’s a wrap on our last evening Puppy Foundation Course – hard to believe the dark nights are already on their way!

What a fabulous group to finish off with. This bunch made an incredible amount of progress, and it was extra special to train some of Sharpe’s offspring too!

Well done everyone – you’ve worked so hard and achieved so much. Keep it up, and we’ll see you on the next stages! Some of you are re-doing Puppy Group, some are heading over to Matt’s Obedience with an introduction to Gundog training, and some are joining me on the Advanced course.

Today marked the final session of our Sunday 6-week Puppy Foundation Course!

What a fantastic group – everyone worked so hard, and the progress really showed throughout the course.

Some of the pups will now be moving on to Matt’s Introduction to Gundog Work & Obedience Training, while others are continuing with me for further obedience training.

A big well done to all the handlers and pups – you should be really proud of what you’ve achieved! 👏

Our next Puppy Foundation Course is already fully booked, but if you’re interested in joining a future course or would like more information about our puppy training, please get in touch.

⭐️Calmness around other dogs one off workshop⭐️

Please note this session is not suitable for dogs with aggression .

Sully’s first working tests!

We’ve had a lovely weekend with Sully (Harrachtain Shepherds Moon) running in his first working tests.

Yesterday he came second in the United Retriever Club (Midland area) puppy test. Today he went one better and won the East Midland Gundog Club puppy test.

At just over 12 months old he was the youngest dog competing on both days!

He has been a really lovely pup to train and live with right from the beginning and it’s fantastic to see him start to reach his potential.

Back into training for him now to see just how far we can take him.

Before anyone asks about his silver eyebrow, he got a cut on it during week, it’s silver plaster spray on it!! 😅

Well done Matt and Sully. Proud of you both! 🥰

🌻The sunflower field will be opening from Wednesday 13th until Saturday 16th August 12-4pm each day....more dates released next week!

🌻 Please wear appropriate footwear and bring your own secateurs.

🌻Please make sure children are supervised at all times as the Willow brook runs alongside the sunflower field.

🌻50p a stem, cash or card accepted and ready picked flowers also available.

🌻 PE8 5HY follow the sunflower signs to the field!

A few weeks ago, I visited Ted the Labrador in his new home for a home visit. We discussed typical puppy behaviours and how to manage them, as well as introducing lead walking and recall basics.

Yesterday, Ted and his owners joined me for a 1-2-1 session at my field, it was fantastic to see the progress they’ve made! Ted is walking beautifully on the lead and his eye contact with his owners is excellent.

They’ve already started letting him off the lead, so I shared a few tips to help build and keep a reliable recall.

He’s a lovely little pup, and I’m really looking forward to watching him grow and develop!

This week I did a home visit to meet the newest member of the Healthy Pet Supplies and Thrapston Tackle team!

Little Enzo, a working type cocker spaniel is a lovely lad already settling down in his new home. He was very responsive, and I’m looking forward to seeing his progress.

We kicked off another Puppy Foundation Course tonight and what a gorgeous bunch they are!

It was such a pleasure to meet some of the pups sired by Sharpe - Harrachtain First Edition in this group.

I look forward to seeing how they all progress!

We welcomed a brand new group of puppies to our Sunday Puppy Foundation Course today!

They’re absolutely adorable but now it’s time to get started with their training journey!
