There has been plenty of Christmas fun at Dogs Lead On this week in both our scent and obedience classes. From people screening in the scent classes, with dogs in Christmas jumpers, to pass the parcel, retrieving Bonios and a 'temptation alley' with sausage temptations in obedience class today. Thank you Janet for the 2 amazing sweet pastry Christmas tree treats.

Woolwich and Bexley Open Show - A very damp Sunday but what a great day for two of our club teams yesterday.
Wendy & Rafferty - Best Working AVNSC and Group 2 giving him his final ShCEx polints.
Lynn & Bea - Pastoral RBB and Best Pastoral Veteran - Great results.
And I took my boy Cloud - 2nd to Bea in Veteran (we will never hear the last of that!!) but gaining his final Veteran Warrant points.

A Great Level 2 at Dogs Lead On Huntingdon today. Dry and sunny but a very cold and breezy day. Thank you to all the Competitors and our judges Wendy Clay and Deborah Gilbody supported by scribes Janice Harris and Diane Cant and Sam Crawford for keeping us all organised. Well done everyone and thank you.

A great SWUK L1 Trial yesterday at Dogs Lead On Alconbury venue. Our first time holding a trial so thank you to all the teams that entered. Thank you to our judges Deborah Gilbody and Harry Latusek, our Scribes Janice Harris and Diane Cant and our support team Sam and Outi. Not forgetting the homemade cakes Outi very much appreciated by all. Some great results and congratulations to everyone, with top awards going to -
1st - Jill Blackwell and Chip (Plus excellence)
2nd - Jill Clinch and Phoebe
3rd - Sandra Rose and Logan (Plus excellence)
4th - Lynne White and Johan
Our club members entering their first level 1 trial all qualified and those with a little more experience were so close to taking a top award but up against some very on form teams. Well done everyone.

Our puppy class will be moving indoors to a spacious and warm venue in Brampton at the end of the month for the autumn and winter. Spaces are currently available for our 6 week course. Either email us on [email protected] or contact us on Facebook for details.

Congratulations to our members on yesterdays achievements. -Puppy Luci completing her foundation course, we look forward to seeing her very soon in our progression groups. Then some excellent results from our slightly older K9's on our KCGC assessment day. Great results for our Gold and Silver teams. Thank you to Jill Clinch for coming along to assess them. Not everyone's day but I'm sure you will be in the photo line up next time. Well done everyone.

We will have some places available from Saturday 17th August in puppy class. The Kennel Club 6 week course is suitable for puppies up to 12 months and covers socialisation and basic obedience exercises. There is the opportunity to progress training through the Kennel Club Good Citizen scheme to their Gold award.

Congratulations and very well done to all those achieving their Gold or Silver KCGC Awards this week. It wasn't everyone's evening so good luck for next time for those that didn't quite get there. A few challenges on the evening!! including the "Hay Combines" next door to us - they were still working long after we had finished so we hope they had a great crop.🙂🚜
