And that's another year gone π«‘
There have certainly been many challenges in 2024, but we've managed to weather them all πͺ
Taking a moment to reflect on the positives, there has been an awful lot to like about the last 12 months.
πI became a qualified coach and started teaching and running regular clinics. I've had more bookings in my first 6 months of teaching than I ever imagined and I'd like to thank all my lovely clients who have been a part of that journey.
πThis year I have completely changed how I handle and train horses. I now do more groundwork and use natural horsemanship techniques. This has benefitted my horses and has also enabled me to work with other horse owners with a variety of challenges, from behavioural under saddle and handling, hacking, as well as loading issues. This has really taken off in the last few months and is something I'm very passionate about.
πI've enjoyed working with all those involved in Hurst Equestrian. There have been a lot of fantastic shows and great training sessions, along with the excitement of opening the yard at Hascombe.
πMy OTTB Poppy has been a huge highlight π She's been so much fun to work with and has tried her hardest at every point. Currently she's enjoying a well earned winter holiday, and I look forward to getting back on her in the new year.
πThe yard has been full all year, and we have such a great group of people and horses at Pakyns. It feels like a lovely little supportive community which is a key reason why I love my job so much.
Thank you to everyone who has been involved with Pakyns in 2024....
Bring on 2025 πΎ
