Poppy is looking 'well rounded' after her badger/fox bite induced holiday 😅
After a couple of weeks of ground work she's come back in ridden work feeling fantastic 🤩 I'm looking forward to being able to progress her schooling. She's an absolute pleasure to ride 🥰

Celebrated receiving my Level 2 Certificate in Equestrian Coaching by hosting my first polework clinic today!
It was a lovely couple of relaxed and fun sessions with all the horses showing improvement by the end.
Thank you to everyone who came, I'm already looking forward to the next one.

We had a few challenging obstacles along the way, but he was an absolute saint for it all 😇

Ending our Hickstead with style today! Jade finished 5th out of about 120 horses with a very quick round. It was definitely the most I've asked of her in a jump off and she really rose to the challenge 💪
And it was absolutely lovely to have friends and family there today to support me ❤️

Two wins for Jade in the British Novice and Discovery at Pyecombe Horse Shows this morning 🏆🏆

Over the last month I've been working so hard with her. I've made changes to her tack, and big changes to how I'm riding her. It shows it's worth it when it all comes together for an amazing day like this ❤️🙌🎉

So pleased to see my lovely client Rowan Jones doing so well with his gorgeous horse Scout, and thank you for the kind words!
I helped Rowan in his horse search last year and really felt that Scout was 'the one'.
I'm so pleased to see how well it's going and to continue to support them as they progress ♥️

We were here training almost exactly a month ago and I can't believe how much she's improved in that time 💪

It's certainly been an eventful weekend at Pyecombe Horse Shows!

Jade has been an absolute superstar. She jumped a fantastic speedy round yesterday, however we sadly took out the last jump. It then all came together today, when she jumped a great round to come 2nd 🥈

Outside of the jumping, on Saturday I climbed into the cab of a run away lorry! The owner's dog knocked the hand brake causing it to roll downhill backwards towards parked lorries with horses on board. It was all quite scary but luckily I managed to hit the breaks in time.

Then today after jumping I spotted a horse who had decided she didn't want to go home. I do a lot of natural horsemanship with mine and felt I could use my experience to help. After some patience and quiet work with her I got her on board 🙌

I promise shows are usually pretty quiet for me and mum, I'm not really sure what happened this weekend but it's certainly been memorable!

I've been exclusively doing groundwork with Poppy for the last three weeks to promote relaxation and teach her how to more correctly use her body.
We've both been really enjoying it but today at the end of our session I fancied having a sit... A little modification to my groundwork kit and we were off!
Pretty certain this is the first time she's ever been ridden without a saddle as well.
I was very pleased with myself so had to ride her up to the house to show off and get a picture 📸

Lovely long hack in the sun today with Jade rocking her Flex Hoof Boots.
Hacking hasn't always been Jade's strong point, but after a lot of groundwork and building trust I can happily say she didn't put a foot wrong and clearly had a lovely time ♥️

We had a lovely yard outting to Hickstead with Autumn and Jade this afternoon. They were both super and we all had a fab time in the sun 🌞

It's nice to know the horses are relaxed here!
Wrigley decided there was no need to get up from his snooze when I mucked him out yesterday 😴
Despite the dogs milling around and me skipping out behind him he stayed put the entire time!
I'll put a video in the comments showing how unbothered he was 😂

Some great jumping from Anna at Pyecombe Horse Shows this morning. Clear in the 90cm, and we both thoroughly enjoyed our first time competing at 1m this year 🚀

Anna flying over the last to win the 90 open at Coombelands Equestrian 🏆

That means in February we've....
Jumped six classes
Had five clears
Come second three times 🥈
Won twice 🥇

She's so just so consistent and gives her all every time ❤️

What a weekend! Two shows and two fantastic results.
Anna jumped a brilliant round at Pyecombe on Saturday, coming 2nd in the 90 open.
On Sunday we took Jade to Felbridge for her first outing of 2024... And she only went and WON the Prelim 7 with 68.41%!! It was our first dressage test together as well. I'm absolutely over the moon with her 😁

She's got such a good brain and seems to have picked up right where we left off despite her young age.

Last month she managed to get a superficial cut in the field which took its time for fully heal, but all better now and time to crack on 🙌🏇

Jade winning the British Novice at Felbridge this morning 🥇

I'm really pleased with Poppy today! Her first ride in over a month and she goes like this 😍 She's got such a good brain and seems to have picked up right where we left off despite her young age. Lovely solo hack on Autumn this morning 🍂 It was the farthest she's gone and she was great! Lots of sights and sounds, including meeting three other horses on a ride, and she was so good with it all ♥️

Fantastic training session with Jade this morning. I'm really excited about her!

Autumn's first solo hack was a huge success! Building sites, lawn mowers, barking dogs... All no problem 🍂♥️

My first sit on new arrival Autumn went very well! I'm looking forward to getting her fit 💪 and getting her out and about 😁

The very fluffy Coconut enjoying a handwalk to prepare him for coming back into work following his winter break. He was excellently behaved and loved seeing a bit of the world.
