On the 11th of August Billy is Mountain biking 105 miles, the equivalent to 4 marathons, in 7 hours.
This is to help raise money for,
The K9 Crusaders Dog Welfares' goal:
"Our missions for the future include,
A Home from Home suite for people with mobility issues to come and spend time sitting with a dog, providing mutual benefit for both humans and dogs alike.
A ‘Paws for Nature’ dog walk with environmentally friendly planting, bird nestboxes, insect hotels, hedgehog houses etc.
An all-weather facility to host our events, and also to offer a space for other local groups and clubs to meet.
Full disabled access to our entire site with a multi-use toilet facility."
The Wags 'n' Whiskers' goal:
"What we want to achieve this year.
A fully secure dog paddock with training and enrichment equipment being provided for all dog owners and fosterers. A rentable place that owners and trainers can use where 20% of all profits are donated to local charities and support networks.
Utilities, pond and scent work areas on our communities' dog walking field will help with better enrichment and training potential.
Safe and drivable access to our facilities. "
Donations:
To Guarantee that 100% of any money raised is donated, I will be cycling around the entirety of Loe Bar 17.5 times. It is local to me, only 7 minutes away from the Helston medical centre and only 7 minutes away from a professional cycle shop for technical support. This means we do not need the associated support network typically paid for with this type of event, keeping the events' running costs at £0.
50% of ALL funds raised will be donated to K9 Crusaders dog welfare and 50% of all funds raised will be donated to Wags 'n Whiskers animal services.
All associated training and event progress will be shared on the Wags 'n' whiskers ltd page.
