💗 Roxie is such a sweet girl but can be quite nervous outside, having had a bad experience where she was spooked by fireworks 🧨 😢
🥰 Her nervousness then leads to her pulling like a juggernaut to get home to safety when she hears loud noises.
💫 During this session we started in the back garden before progressing to the front garden - then once Roxie was comfortable and focusing on her dad, we then moved to the pavement outside her house 🏡
🐕 We had some lovely moments where Roxie was walking nice and calmly but still very much aware of any loud noises such as buses and a horse & carriage going by!

🐕🦺 Monday night we worked on duration with ‘paws up’ as well as distance, with these guys knowing the ‘paws up’ cue - it’s now about upping the criteria 🐕🌟
🌟 In any training the easiest way to up the criteria is to use one of the 3D’s so either up the duration, distance or distraction 💫
👏 Massive well done to Mabel, Rikki and Winter, who all totally rocked 🙌🐶🐾

💫 Georgia doing her thing 🙌
🫶 I’m working with Georgia and her guardian to help her navigate this big world 🌍 being a Romanian rescue, Georgia often finds the outside world very stressful, which then leads to her having some what might seem to be, over the top reactions to certain triggers 🥰
✨ We’re slowly building Georgia’s confidence along with being able to walk and focus on her guardian, the next stage will be to start the work on counter conditioning Georgia’s emotional response to seeing other dog’s and turn it into being a positive experience 🐕🐾
🐕🦺 A long journey but one that will be so worth it so that Georgia can navigate the world as a happy go lucky lady, like she is in the house 🏡

✨ During this session with Sidney we’ve started the foundations of loose lead walking. We practiced some techniques indoors and then progressed to the driveway.
💫 At this point we are using a lure to help keep Sidney focused but this will be phased out as this is the very start.
💗 Sidney did amazing as she can also react to certain triggers when outside, so the fact that someone walked past the drive while we were working and Sidney made the choice to ignore them, I really couldn’t ask for more at this stage!
🙌 Team Sidney have absolutely got this - already you can see the green shoots 👏

🌟 Super proud of Barney tonight 🙌 this is only our 2nd session on loose lead walking and he is smashing it!
✨ I really couldn’t ask for more in session 2, especially as the first session we don’t even work on lead work, it’s all about engagement and focus, just look at Barney focusing on his guardian 🥳
💫 Now that Barney understands what we expect from him, he is voluntarily checking in and walking nicely - making for a more enjoyable walk. As Barney now gets the game, it’s about pushing the 3 D’s, Distance, Duration and most importantly Distraction!
⏩ As Barney was doing so well on a quieter side street, we decided to up the distractions by moving to a busier road. At this point I’m not looking for perfection, just that Barney can still focus on his guardian and still understands what is expected - video in the comments.

✨ During Wilson’s session we started working on him focusing on his owner 🫶
✨ We’ve put the foundations in place at home, but it’s now time to work outside in the real world. Starting off with some basic focus on the move to help with loose lead walking as Wilson pulls like a freight train 🚆
✨ Wilson also finds it hard to deal with certain triggers when on the lead, so we are now starting to counter condition Wilson’s responses at a distance Wilson can cope with.
✨ To some this video may not seem much but if I think back to a couple of weeks ago, there wasn’t a chance that Wilson’s lead would be this loose and his focus on his owner rather than constantly scanning the area 🫶

⭐️✨Proofing at its finest 🙌👏
When training, wether it be in classes or 1-2-1’s, I always talk about our dogs learning by association - just because they may successfully complete a behaviour in class or at home 🏠 doesn’t mean they’ll do it in a different situation or environment.
Proofing is the art of practising in different areas with different distractions, once our dogs can successfully do this, then you know the behaviour is embedded 🐶🤩
Here’s a clip of Reggie doing just that, out on a walk, spending a few minutes practicing a cue that he knows inside out. It is also giving him a few moments to take it easy and think about something different 🐶💙🐾
✨ Super proud of Dennis 🖤⭐️ look at him strutting his stuff while walking nicely beside his human 🙌
✨ Dennis is a 9 month old Cane Corso weighing in at 53Kg so roughly 8.5 stone, we haven’t used anything other than a normal harness with a double ended lead, Dennis is so strong he could easily pull his human over!
✨ This is what hard work, commitment and consistency has earned ⭐️ still some fine tuning but this boy is smashing it 🙌
Massive well done, be proud of what you’ve achieved so far - you’ve got this 💪🐶🐾
