We thought this bright, smiley face might brighten up a chilly, dull day. So, paws up who remembers adorable Bart who was looking for a loving home in the summer. Well, here he is looking like the cat who got the extra thick double cream! Adopted back in August, and now called George Bartholo-meow, he really landed on his paws with a fabulous customer. We had several photos to choose from, but we thought this one just sums up his happiness nicely and hoped it would pop a happy smile on your faces too xx

Lovely Munchie left us recently after a flying visit; although his time with us may have been short, we managed to fit in plenty of snacks and cuddles. Frank loves to be a trip hazard of huge proportions. He is out of his chalet and weaving between our ankles as soon as we take just one step inside his run. Frank sits on his fleecy blanket, always at the ready…..probably just to test our balancing skills! Little Yoda came for his first holiday with us and he is an adorable, but very active, little fuss monster. He also eats quite well too! Aslan came for a fluffy holiday and loved to relax and absorb the atmosphere……but his neighbour, Flynn, pouted and grumbled in a grumpy, gingery way and wasn’t at all impressed by Aslan’s happy-go-lucky smile! Sending you all our whiskery love xx

Recent gorgeous guests who left us begin with Calli, Claude and Coco. Calli’s photo was taken the moment she arrived, as she spends most of her holiday daylight hours tucked away in her relaxation cocoon pod….well, her igloo bed to be precise! Claude is always ready for an outdoor pose, while Coco decided her best look was in her bed. Bessie spent a lot of time upside down and sideways on, as did Mabel who favoured this pose rather than sitting prettily on her pink blanket that mummy insists on bringing! Harley, however, preferred to squint at us for reasons only known to his lovely self. Arlo’s beautiful blue eyes were focused on something other than us, whereas Georgina took pride in her photo by gazing directly at the camera. Finally, senior lady Elsa greeted the camera with an adoring gaze……hiding lovely Teddy who was snoozing in his bed as usual! xx

It’s fair to say that Louis never travels light! This little chap brings as much as possible, including his version of the kitchen sink! His basket of toys was usually on its side and we had balls and toys everywhere! Sylvia came for a mood-boosting relaxation time and would either be lounging on her bed or soaking up the sunshine on her sun-shelf. Charlie’s happy spot was snuggled down inside his bed – whatever the temperature! This adorable fluff-monster loves his fusses and grooms. Bert and Ernie were more interested in the outside activities and nothing could persuade them to smile for the camera. Senior boy Lexus loved to join in with his neighbours for a sing-song. When he wasn’t singing, he was alerting us to the time, reminding us that meal-time was fast approaching. Ash and Narlah spent time trying to catch a few sunrays. Their scratch post came in handy for their stretches and balancing acts, then it was time for a snooze in their cosy igloo beds. Sending you all our love xx

To say it’s been a bit busy is an understatement! Our lovely customers who love to skip off on holiday before half term starts have certainly kept us busy. Beautiful Jasmine is a “paw-waving” lady but, for once, we managed to catch her with all four paws down at the same time. Well, we let sleeping Trevors lie...! Feeling a bit miffed at not being the chattiest chap in Ibstock this time, Trevor decided to sleep his photo-shoot away and refused to let on that his neighbour had put his little nose out of joint! Fred and Martha popped in to stay with their sisters. Always one for a close up, Fred made sure he was first in the photo queue – although his ears were cut off…sack the photographer! Didi and Mobi came for a relaxing break and also enjoyed a bit of sunshine which, of course, ensured the squirrels came out for a game of Tag. Baby Teddy, not sure why we call him that as he’s now almost the grand age of 2 years’ old, came for a short, but energetic, break. He loves to do everything at any time, at any speed! Sending lots of positive sunshine love xx

Lulu and Layla left us recently after a break, most of which was spent messing about in our scratch tower – and eating! Eric and Ernie thought it was funny to spend time in the rafters from where they could see the world. It wasn’t so funny when it was time to go home and Eric refused to come down. There was a lot of clambering about and stretching on tippy-toes as he gripped onto the rafters as though his life depended on it! Meanwhile, Rodney and Cassandra had a peaceful, well-behaved holiday where they relaxed and just pondered life. Now, Rosie is a tricky little Miss when it comes to holiday arrival; but, once the tranquil atmosphere of the cattery kicks in, she is as happy and calm as a happy, calm thing – and we can even fuss her! Finally, lovely Ella came for her first holiday with us and either snuggled down in her cosy bed or, even better, if the sun was shining, Ella reclined on her sun-shelf. Sending you all our love as always xx

*REHOME: Firstly, please wave your mittens in the air for Scary Spice who left us yesterday for her new home. “Collette” has a new brother and sister to inspect, which is going well. We were thrilled to see photos of her already sitting on laps! BUT...the beautiful Sporty and Posh Spice are still with us. They are now totally bonded and we hate to think that they may have to be separated as they give each other love, confidence and lots of play time. These adorable, affectionate girls are funny and gorgeous – a bit like us! Please, please look at their lovely faces – are they tugging at your heartstrings yet….?! If so, please email [email protected]. They really are just waiting for YOU! xx

Please bang a drum or wave a tea cosy to celebrate Ghost leaving us for his new home last week! We are really happy for him as he is so adorable. Now, to our guests! Annie loved to sit inside her paper bag, which meant photos were very dark. When she wasn’t sitting in her bag, she spent a lot of time just rolling and rolling and….! Cari tried her best to make sure we had the perfect photo but with sister, Darcy, being more interested in what was happening “over there”, it was always going to be a solo effort! Toby was happy to pose by his untidy bed – sometimes there’s just no point in trying to be tidy – and Lilly puffed up her fluffy self, with eyes fixed on the camera. Rose, Pretty and Angel loved to snuggle up together, although trying to have everyone looking the same way was a challenge! The sun reflected on Mila during her stay and made her look all shiny and bright while Kermit popped his head round with a cheeky grin. Sending you lots of whiskery purrs xx

Neptune loved to show off his flexible skills – we’re not sure what this move is, but it’s impressive! Jack had warm sunshine for his holiday so he sprawled out absorbing sunrays; while another Jack spent some of his cloudy days in his mashed potato box, snuggling down waiting for the sun to shine. The problem with cheek tickles is it results in a blurry face, which didn’t bother TJ as all she wanted was a snuggly fuss. Sherlock and Watson stood to attention when asked – mainly because their detective skills had spied a bag of treats nearby! Ruby threw us a coy look over her shoulder when it was her turn for a photo – but she had a grumble and pulled a very grumpy face when we asked for another. Finally, Tyson calmly sat and thought about life and things, just waiting for his next big fuss! xx

You may remember last weekend and The Great Storm....! “I really want to go out but it’s thundering and lightning, and there’s torrential rain. I wanted to go and check on my furry friends out there to make sure they’re okay (aka “mess about”!). So could you go please, and I’ll just head back to my comfy, warm bed on the sofa”. So said Alan last Saturday. Yep, no problem, you just sit there….! xx

*REHOME Does anyone feel a bit “zig-a-zig ah”?? Well, if you do, we have just the girls for you. Posh, Sporty and non-scary Scary are waiting for you to love them. These beautiful girls are approximately 5 months old and very kitteny! These furry faces can be rehomed either in a pair, plus one to go with a friendly resident cat, or they can all be split. If they are split in to three separate homes, they would need to be rehomed with an existing friendly cat. This is because they came in without a mum to give them confidence. They love to play and are happy to be stroked - currently, they are not picky up kittens….but we are working on this! Fully litter-trained and they like food. What’s not to love? If you are interested in learning more about the Spice Girls – or rather the Spice Kittens – please drop us an email [email protected] xx

Kasper and Loki left us after a very playful stay. Kasper loves to pose, whereas Loki is more interested in finding out what toy does what and why! Jasmine and Luna had many photos taken until we managed to find one where Jasmine’s ears looked normal! For some reason her ears looked enormous – very much like Dumbo! The girls had a lovely break watching the pigeons dancing above their heads. Mica, Olga, Bruce and Nobby came for very sunshiny holiday. While Mica took over the top of the scratch tower, Nobby decided to pop himself inside it. Bruce and Olga were quite happy to have their whole selves photographed - although Olga closed her eyes just as the camera went “click”. Finally, Frankie cast a winsome gaze over his shoulder trying to give us a super cool look, before his fuss. Well, our guests hunkered down in their chalets earlier, where the sound of the thunder was deadened by the snug insulation. The lightning was VERY bright and startled everyone, just as the silver service evening meal was being delivered. Nobody was blinded during this time! We suggest you go to bed now and just snuggle down, that’s what our guests are doing! xx

**REHOME* Who could fail to be mesmerised by these gorgeous eyes! Please give all your love to the adorable Ghost. This snowy white chap was a stray with terrible injuries to his ear and in a very poor condition – he is now gorgeous! Ghost is super friendly and is a lovely fussy boy who loves fusses so much he can get over stimulated, which result in him occasionally ‘love nipping’. From our experiment, he was happy to have fuss for over 5 minutes before he got a little excited and gave a gentle nip. There is no aggression in them and only happen when he’s over-excited and he’s not sure what to do….we’ve all been there! After that, he was ready for more fuss and chin tickles – he doesn’t bear a grudge! Ghost is approximately 6-8 years old – but don’t let that put you off; this little soldier is ready to take on the world! He would like outdoor access, so a home away from busy roads would be perfect for him once he is settled so he can explore his land. Due to his ‘love nips’ and being easily overstimulated, we think that he would be best suited to an adult only (or teen children) home who will be able to manage his fuss sessions until he settles in. We also think that he would like to be the only pet in the house so he can do things on his terms and have all your love. Please don’t let Ghost’s age put you off. This stunning boy has so much love to give and deserves a cosy, loving future. If you are interested in learning more about Ghost, please email us [email protected] xx

Lots of fusses and love were the order of the week when these gorgeous guests came to stay. Gus and Bertie were adopted from us when they were quite tiny but now, they are little adolescents with long legs! Tilly, Narla, Jasper, Max and Trevor are a family of different personalities. Some liked to roll around showing off their tummies; some liked to pose elegantly in their beds and some liked to pretend they were asleep! We were excited to see that Maude found time to leave her bed during her latest holiday - in fact, we’ve never seen her so active! She was in and out and shaking it all about almost every day. Ripley was another roller while Dax jumped up to do a sort of yoga pose when the camera appeared – not really sure what was going on there! Well, the sun has shone and the rain has rained but we’re still smiling! We send you lots of love because we feel lots of love is needed xx

Some of you have already met this bundle of furriness when they came to stay with us at 4 weeks’ old, with their mummy, while they waited for a fabulous HH fosterer. They are SO adorable - honestly, trust us on this! Just letting you know so you know….! And the "baby Alans" we posted at the time aren't actually Alan's babies....just so you know that too! Goodness, another Alan....?! xx

Our recent guests start with Gracie. Lovely Gracie came to chat to us – well, shout at us! – and so we made sure she had someone to talk at on a regular basis - otherwise we had a lot of information to absorb in one go! Meanwhile, her neighbour Lola loved to show off her adorable hairy feet. Dottie had full view of the landscape during her stay and was kept entertained by the birds on their feeders outside her run. Major Tom sat nicely for his photo – a bow tie would finish his look off perfectly! - before turning his head in a huff when he realised his sister, Suzie, was having her photo-shoot too! Last, but not least, Marley and Gracie had different ideas of what was important. Giving the camera his best pouty look, or Gracie working out if it was possible to catch the blackbird right in front of her eyes. It’s very “Winnie the Pooh” blustery at the moment so we hope you’re all still upright and safe! Sending you lots of purrs xx

Now, when our guests are due to leave us, we expect excitement and happiness. Ruby, however, took serious umbrage at the end of her holiday; she swished her tail and refused to participate in any further chats! Lovely Layla and Lulu came to catch a few clouds with us and, while Layla sashayed and showed off her very upright tail, Lulu opted for fusses in bed. Is there ever going to be a time when Moses and Diego pose the right way up! Their (almost) permanent view of the world is upside down and sideways on! Ozzie threw in a little rolly silliness, while Ambrose refused to be distracted as he posed very elegantly with blue sky emphasising his handsomeness. Finally, Poppy and Honey had varying views on how holiday time should be spent. Is it an active, do everything time? Or, a “shhhhh I want to snooze holiday”?! Sending you all our love as always xx

Firstly, Bart was very excited to leave us for his new home. Less than 24 hours of him appearing on our FB, he was reserved - lots of cheers! We are in a kitten frenzy at the moment and one of the little families who are staying with us has TWO BABY ALANS! To the real Alan, it’s just like looking in a mirror!! These precious bundles are being fostered by us for Harleys Hounds Animal Rescue. The people at HH are amazing, friendly people and truly deserve all our love for what they do. As well as these bundles of trouble, we also have the most adorable guests holidaying with us. Pebbles, Spencer and Molly came for a warm, sunny holiday and made the most of the lovely sunshine. Meanwhile, further down The Path, Jake was more interested in his catnip squirrel, and who could blame him! Jack and Vera popped in for a super long break – and their aim was to cause as much trouble as possible! They succeeded!! Sending you all our whiskery love xx
