Feet on the ground....feet off the ground! One minute he was nowhere to be seen and then suddenly - ”where did he come from? - Alan was flying through the air! Fortunately, Jenny was messing about with her phone (ahem…..should have been sorting the lights!) but she was quicker than Alan to catch him in the act. As with VE Day bunting, and all other things that are nothing to do with him, Alan just has to “help”! xx

Young youngsters, Nyx and Calliope, came for their first holiday ever and spent their time either being swallowed by a whale and a pumpkin bed or racing around their run, messing about with water bowls! Leo and Mickey also came for their first holiday. They loved lots of fuss – and investigating whatever was going on across the cattery path. What can we say about Mabel and her pink blanket! Mummy says she loves to sit on it….! On holiday though, pink blanket is bad and always ends up on the floor or dangling precariously from her cushion. Lovely, Ted and Elsa, came for another holiday – and Elsa was determined that Teddy was going to have his photo taken outside of his bed! These two seniors still enjoy life and love their food. Last but not least, Darcey was convinced there was a ghost in her house, until she realised it was her reflection….bless her! It’s wildly windy and rainy out there, so we hope you are all safe and send you all our love xx

Many beautiful faces have been holidaying with us recently – and we still have lots more to show off. Firstly, Shadow and Loki had a happy holiday without Shadow hiding! Admittedly, he thought about making a run for it though…..! Ash and Narla came for their usual fuss-taking, relax-making holiday and a good time was had by both. Silvia had a fair bit to say during her break, chatty little lady that she is, and we had a few conversations with her about all her interests – which mostly included food! Frank is such a relaxed boy and is so affectionate. He just loved his fuss in the sunshine – as did we. Well, this is Bessie not rolling! Bessie just loves to tip herself upside down and wriggle around the floor, so we were happy to see her the right way round for a change. Finally, Sonic came for his first holiday. He is so loving and certainly loved his food. We hope your furry ones are safe and snug this evening as we know it’s going to be a bit loud. Alan is currently messing about with the tv remote so it might be an evening of just flicking around the channels. If anyone feels brave enough to get it off him, please let me know! xx

A few of our recent holidaymakers start with Jack and his box. Jack loves to sit by the window, or outside in his run, just watching the cattery world go by. Pepper popped in again for another mini-break and spent a few days being pampered and fussed. Darcey loved to either sit outside and chat to everyone who wandered by or relax in her lovely warm chalet. Little Bob spent most of his time watching the birds bathing outside his run or, on a rare occasion, pondering life while relaxing in comfort. Finally, Lucy and Heidi checked out pigeons Morris Dancing above their heads as they waited for their tea. Their meal times were always the bigger attraction though! We hope you are preparing for the Friday feeling and send you lots of love xx

Misty and Domino came for a relaxing holiday. Misty was happy to pose the right way up and looking very pretty, while Domin-oh-hoo-hoo – yes, a catchy advert is always on the tip of our tongues! – likes to just mess about! Bailey’s favourite place was peeping at us through the door, before scampering up to her shelf to hiss…..not very scarily. Could we get Jasmine’s attention?? No, we could not! Jasmine’s eye was caught by the boy next door to her. She usually poses with us as she looks for fuss, but this time….! Well, we knew our place! Luna-Bear came for her first holiday and couldn’t make up her mind whether she loved us or not. A fuss one minute; a hiss the next, bless her. Huey and Luey had sunshine and showers for their holiday but they weren’t really bothered. Lots of toys and treats kept them amused – along with plenty of fuss too. We can’t believe how quickly October is slipping by; it only seems a few days ago that it was July! We hope you have a relaxing week and send you all our twitchy nose love xx

We have furry faces everywhere we turn; all as beautiful as each other. Today’s special whiskers begin with Gracie. Gracie loves to chat, quite loudly! She needs to make sure we haven’t forgotten she’s there. Benji had a 3-D view of the cattery and spent a lot of time watching the squirrels, and attempting to roll…..but not quite getting there! Jellybean is a very inquisitive little lady and she likes to know what everyone is up to and at what time and, even more importantly, when is it teatime! Storm struck a pose in her bed - the outdoor shots were a bit of a fluffy blur as she loves to strut her stuff while we try to catch her in still mode. With a not quite so grumpy face, Bertie popped in again. He’s a little on the unpredictable side and so we all have our wits about us when he comes to stay. Finally, Luca was so busy watching the bird bath, he was completely unaware that we were there – but then keeping an eye on the entertainment is far more interesting than watching us! xx

It was a relaxing girls’ holiday for Lulu and Layla when they came to stay. Happily, they had sunshine which meant lots of warm snoozy days. We love seeing Bruno, who was adopted from us, as he is a bit of a character. Bruno loves his food but can get a little over-excited when he has his fusses! Willow decided the best place to recline was right by the door, both at going in and coming out time! We have to admit we didn’t really think her choice was the right one but…..here she is and here she stayed! Jessie was happy to doze her holiday away between meal times – the sight of her silver service food delivery soon had her on her little feet though! Smokey, Moo and Teddy had a happy time with us and made the most of the facilities, which included scratch towers when, at the top, Moo realised she would get lots of extra chin tickles. We hope you have had a calm Monday and send you all our love to help you through the rest of the week xx

Having George Bartholmeow, who was adopted from us, holidaying with us in the cattery is good, because he finds his way to here from home (he only lives “over there”!) during the evening and attacks my feet and legs as I pop round our guests, it’s most unbalanced making! Ella posed with a line of sunshine across her lovely face during her photo shoot; meanwhile further up the cattery Trevor reclined peacefully on his chair and cushion, both brought from home. Very senior boy, Harvey, came for a lovely holiday whereby he enjoyed lots of scrummy food and fuss – and dozes of course. Jinx happily posed for her photo while her sister, Pixie, decided it was more interesting to watch the wildlife. Finally, Frankie is a laid-back boy who just loves to relax and eat! We hope you survived the wind and, as always, send you our swishy tail love xx

Well, we’re still scrambling around finding photos! This means that no matter how long it is since your adorable furry faced one had a holiday with us, they may still appear…..just a few months late! So, this evening we are delighted to have found Coco. This was Coco’s first holiday with us and, although she was a bit of a picky eater, Coco found lots of time to roll around in the sunshine and enjoy fusses. Wolfie and Thor also came for their first holiday and loved to sit on their palm tree scratch tower, just watching the world go by. Lovely Timmy came for mini-break and even had a tummy tickle, bless him! Maude was actually quite sociable this time – that’s not something we often say! – and she even attempted a few rolls on her shelf during her chats. Arlo and Georgina were lucky enough to have sunshine for their holiday and while Georgina relaxed in the sun – either on her shelf or on someone’s lap - Arlo kept watch to make sure he didn’t miss anything important. Sending you all our love xx

Last week, the laptop with all our furry guests’ photos gave up the will to live and hopped off to the great big laptop in the sky – rather inconveniently. We are currently using Sarah’s laptop and she assures me that the keys are in exactly the same place…..to be honest, I’m not so sure they are! In the meantime, while we gather up those adorable furry faces, we have just a small number of guests to show off today. Coco, with his warning sign, came to stay; he pulled the appropriate faces and threw out the odd hiss and spit, just to live up to his reputation. Pearl, Tilly, Margot and Joyce came for a lovely sunny holiday. Lots of dozing and eating made for a perfect holiday in the sun! We send you lots of whiskery love xx

Adorable Tilly never fails to make us laugh. If she’s not trying to outstare us with her big eyes, she is shouting very loudly at her cardboard tunnel scratcher. She is one VERY chatty lady! The very handsome Kermit came in just to count the pigeons and, further down the corridor, Minnie tried to catch a couple, just to throw his counting system out! Pepsi loved to roll and have fusses while - and this doesn’t happen very often - his sister, Popcorn, spent quite a lot of time outside for a change. Did we have our cameras when she was happily sitting outside waiting for her food……? No, of course we didn’t! Moses and Diego came for a fluffy holiday, where there was a lot of messing about; while their neighbour, Sugar, tried to catch a few dozes xx

Beautiful Daisy and her Minnie Mouse bed had a very happy time during their holiday. They watched all bits and bobs of wildlife and relaxed. Yuki, Luna and Casper came for their first holiday and pretty much eased their way into holiday-mode – Dreamies always help, of course! Dottie had the sun shining on her lovely face as she watched the squirrels racing around the trees outside her window, and was kept entertained for hours! Meanwhile, Eric and Ernie came with Tilley, who wasn’t in the mood to pose, but they all snoozed their mini-break away. Bert and Ernie were very chatty – which was nice – and we were more than happy to chat back and listen to all their fun thoughts about whiskery life. Finally, Jessie’s aim during her lovely long stay was to teach us all how to roll properly! Sending you all our mid-week love xx
