Lots of adorable guests have been to see us, and we start with senior boy, Ted, who snoozed his time away during his holiday – but amazingly, woke up in time for food! His sister, Elsa, had the devil in her – look at that naughty face! - and was always keen to try and disturb him. Dax came for a holiday and loved to greet us with her sunny face; meanwhile further down the hotel corridor, Willow and Margot’s attention was caught by a neighbour misbehaving - words were said! Pixie and Jinx sprawled and scent marked as they relaxed in the sunshine, while Echo and Merlin both opted to lounge in their own way. We still have SO many guests to show off and to be honest, we need to buck our ideas up otherwise our present guests won’t appear until September! Sending you lots of “almost Monday morning” love xx

Everyone has felt quite hot over the last week or so (humans not so happy, especially those of us who love snow!) and yet our super furry faces have seemed quite relaxed. Aslan enjoyed a recline in the shade, while Flynn just draped himself peacefully over his shelf during the (very!) warm spell. Derek opted for a regal pose just to show how handsome he is; meanwhile Sandie had a mini work out on the tall scratch post. Lovely Lola showed how she rolls, which we think is very beautifully! Finally, a happy tail Ollie strutted his stuff along his cat-shelf, while Ruby just flopped in the warm temperatures which, to be honest, we could fully understand. We hope you have coped with the warm stuff – we mean, honestly, we have customers who come in saying they LOVE these temperatures. Hmmmmm……!! Lots of super-hot love xx

*KITTENS ARE RESERVED* These adorable furry faces are looking for their new homes. Ideally rehomed in pairs, if possible, Tina (calico) and Pepper (black and white) – girl power; and Peter (black) and Trevor (tabby) – let’s hear it for the boys - make us laugh every day with their cheeky antics. They have met cat savvy children and, at 7 weeks old, find everything fascinating, including Alan! Their gorgeous mum, Annie, is so gentle and has been a fabulous mummy to them. She is looking for a home on her own, where she will have all your love and attention. If you are interested in meeting, or finding out more, about this fluffy bundle of fun please email us [email protected] xx

So…..Alan! Last weekend, Alan decided to go on hunger strike. It started on Friday and he was still protesting about food on Monday. He was packed up and off to the vet we went. Ideally, bloods were needed but he developed 60 arms and legs and so he came away with an anti-sickness injection instead – did we mention vomiting too?! Back we went on Tuesday for him to be sedated for bloods and - in for a penny, in for a pound – a scan to check his insides….lots of tears and thinking the worst this end, of course. However, happy us, not so happy him, all came back clear. We also had some special meds to increase his appetite. Despite his shaved bits, on arrival home he looked pretty chuffed with himself – and demolished a bowl of food BEFORE he had the “increase appetite” stuff! He’ll do anything for attention! Anyway, here he is doing his usual speed awareness duty, and either refusing to allow customers to arrive or let them leave! xx

It’s been a bit of a week, but more about that next time – of course, it involved the one and only Alan! So, desperately trying to catch up with our recent guests – who have probably forgotten all about their holiday by now – we start with lovely Charlie. Charlie came for his first holiday with us and we did our best to make sure he had a fabulous time. Blue, Oliver and Arlo popped in for another break with us and put their best posing faces on show, just for you! Yogi was feeling super-relaxed as he sunbathed and actually looked in our direction this time, for a change. Jack did his best to not step on Pandy, who was clearly in his way as he tried to get to his special sun-spot. Cats like “their” spot and nothing will make them move! We all hope for a lovely, but not too hot, weekend and send you all our furry love xx

Fancy a game of “Spot The Cat”?! Cat 1: always obvious! Cat 2: not so obvious! Cat 3: wouldn’t know how to hide if his life depended on it, as he has to bob up to check if he’s been found yet….! xx

Paws up to see some spectacular guests! Well, all our guests are spectacular, of course. Bessie had 24 photos taken which caught her rolling. We opted for this one as it’s not really rolling, so you can see her little face. Adorable Harley came for his sunshiney holiday and had a lovely time, just squeaking and chatting his time away. Snoozy Suzie came to see us and either ate, slept or tickled her holiday away, which is always lovely. Coco decided the best view of the cattery was in the rafters where she was closest to the pigeons, while Claude posed nicely in front of Calli who opted to stay in bed. What can we say about Loki! He is just a super loving boy who adores picky up cuddles and any kind of fuss…..needless to say, he had all the love he wanted! All of our furry faces are so loved by everyone here and we send you all our Monday love xx

Pretty little Jasmine came for a sunshine break and loved to watch the maids clean her chalet and tidy her bed each morning. Jynx decided the sun wasn’t for her and so relaxed in her chalet, preparing herself for tea-time! Meanwhile, Pepper just wanted to listen to her pre-bedtime story while, a few doors down, Vinnie did exactly the same – our stories are very interesting! Little Bob meditated and stretched while Frankie just relaxed. Roxy wasn’t interested in listening to anything, she just wanted to roll around and, finally, Poppy paid lots of attention to everything we said on her first holiday with us. We hope you are enjoying the half-term break and managing to dodge the pesky showers! Lots of meows xx

Ragna and Brida’s owners have a 100-mile round trip to bring these adorable faces to stay. Having used us when they lived locally, they still come with their (relatively) new furry ones for them to enjoy a relaxing spa break with us. Ash and Narlah weren’t feeling particularly receptive to “photo-time”. Ash sat with his tongue sticking out and Narlah could barely stay awake - no offence was taken! Jude and Betty, meanwhile, decided they would “catch the pigeon” - those of us of a certain age will remember Wacky Races! Anyway, they failed – a bit like Dastardly! Delilah came for her first holiday and we think the look on her face is a subtle “can you see who is behind me…..?”. Well yes, we could and it was no surprise! Jynx reclined happily, just sitting, just waiting for food and a chat. Finally, fluffy Ruby came for a mini-break, just to see how we’re doing and to catch up with the gossip. Lots of words…..we hope you didn’t nod off part-way through! xx

*REHOME* This beautiful, affectionate, fun-loving little lady is looking for her forever home. Cat-savvy dogs, calm young people or friendly resident cats are all part of her vocabulary. She is so adorable and just wants to be loved. A loving home, away from busy roads (tough nowadays, we know!) would be ideal for her. A person living alone, who would really love her company, are also exceptionally welcome. She is being rehomed via Harley’s Hounds Animal Rescue and is currently residing with us while she awaits that special home. Please contact us by email [email protected] – and please give her the chance of a fabulous new life xx

Well, Monday set the scene for being one of “those” weeks when the God of Travel wasn’t smiling on either of us, resulting in hastily rearranged appointments! By Tuesday mid-morning, the words “and it’s only Tuesday” were muttered before life settled down. During this time, we had lots of purrs and love from our guests. Merryn, Morwenna, Alfie and Honey left us recently after their sunny, warm visit. Adorable Loki came in for his first holiday too and enjoyed a nice shady spot for his naps; while senior boy, Felix, reclined on his sun deck, just taking in the world. Silvia opted for a cool, shady afternoon lounge, listening to the pigeons dancing on the roof! Finally, lovely Pingu has been a bit under the weather lately and so he came in for a spa break to recharge his batteries – or perhaps it was his owners who went off for a recharge! We hope you are all feeling Friday-ish and we send you lots of whiskery love xx

Today is a special and emotional day and, whilst our gesture is only a small token in remembering what today is about, our guests were fascinated by our bunting, and they definitely enjoyed their extra-special food and fuss. Recent guests who have left us include Daisy, Poppy and Oscar. Daisy opted for a very pouty pose, while Oscar chose to pretend to sleep. Meanwhile, Poppy just elegantly reclined. Heidi and Lucy came in for a nice long holiday and loved to watch the pigeons sauntering around the garden. Tyson, looking very chilled on his outdoor decking, loved his caton-bleu food – and fuss, of course. A few doors up, Louis – who arrived in a right old temper! – relaxed very quickly once he knew he was on a super-spa break, surrounded as usual by his favourite toys. We send you all our love today, and every day xx
