As anyone who runs a small business, it's bloody hard work. I often work 12 -14 hours a day. The cost of running a small business has gone through the roof. When things go wrong you often want to jack it all in. Then you get this. Enough to reaffirm what we do here at Mullacott Equestrian Centre does matter and we do a blinking good job. Thanks Abigail. This makes everyone feel very happy x

We really enjoy having foreign students here at Mullacott Equestrian Centre. Some of these riders hadn't ridden at all before having lessons with us at the beginning of the week. I'm proud to say the are all doing fabulously well on our super horses and ponies. Enjoying the sun today on one of our hacks.

It's really important that our fab team of horses are kept in tip top condition. This ensures they are happy in their work and, enjoy what they do. We only use top professionals, to ensure our horses stay comfortable. Paige Haggett is one I would highly recommend.

A busy day at Mullacott Equestrian Centre yesterday. One of the things a lot of our clients don't know is we take in a few rescue cases each year. This is done with no public assistance and we finance ourselves. Castration for the rescue pony we have taken in. Passport and microchip. Little chap who we have called Scampy had a tether wound on his neck and was very thin. Fully on the road to recovery now, and is certainly fit enough to heal well from the castration operation. Many thanks to our amazing vets Westridge Equine. Scampy will eventually be broken in to be a riding school pony when he is old enough.

Thank goodness they are recovering well

Little update on the Household Cavalry Horses who were injured on 24th April this year after they got spooked and ran through London.

Three of the injured horses are now back at work and are looking to be working at the King’s birthday parade 🐴

Two horses Quaker and Vida are enjoying some R&R in the countryside and will return to work soon 🐴

So lovely to see them doing so well after the devastating sights we saw and the injuries caused. A massive thankyou to the horse trust who have supported them in their rehabilitation 🙌

We have had such an amazing time hosting the Rural Riders Challenge over the last few months. The improvement in all the competitors and horses has been undeniable. A lot of combinations who have never even competed before have absolutely smashed it. A massive shout out to our amazing sponsors Horslyx, Allen and Page, Fibrelock, British Horse feeds, Adam Jeffery Flooring and Garrett Saddlers. All our judges, helpers and competitors. Thank you. We start again in September and are looking for sponsors and teams and individuals to register. Never competed before or lacking confidence? Give us a go, we are more than happy to help you.

Off on a fun ride today. Its really important that our horses have a varied routine and they are happy in their work, so, off the Wheddon Cross for sunny ride today. Just got back horses were amazing as always

A non horsey post for a change. Mullacott Equestrian Centre sponsors a child called Nisha. Our sponsorship of £20 a month gives her a brighter future of an education. Without this her future is very bleak. Please give it a thought and help out some kids that are less fortunate than yourself.
