Belle, the Mayor of Lundy, would like to remind you to please be extra careful walking dogs in this hot weather. If you can, drive to the salon.

Fresh water is available during, before, and after groom. Windows and doors onto the garden are wide open for a breeze.

We will make your dogs visit a calm and friendly groom.

After a less manic week this week. I'm having a well-deserved weekend off with my family.

This is just a reminder that appointments need to be booked up 2 weeks in advance to get a space, and when collecting your dog, we will aim to call you at least 15 minutes before they are ready. Please be mindful that if you turn up and the groom isn't finished, your dogs or dog may become stressed due to being able to see, hear, or smell you.

Sorry for the lack of photos this week.

We have been extremely busy this week catching up and having regulars in aswel.

A grand total of 18 dogs have been groomed this week by me.

I'm definitely feeling it.

Thank you for your patience. Update on Elizabeth: She has improved greatly and is walking without any wheels or sticks.

Hope you have a good week. I'm fully booked this week, and I have a couple of free spaces week after this one.

Hello my lovelies..

I'm back in salon as of tomorrow. Yay, I'm so excited to get back into the swing of it all. There are no further interruptions to my business. My daughter is doing fantastic. Which is such a massive relief.

This is just a little reminder that this is our most busy time of year, excluding Christmas. Please make sure you book in up to 2 weeks in advance to avoid disappointment. I'll do my best to accommodate your needs.

Update for my business.

My daughter is well on the mend and will be discharged either tomorrow or Friday.

I'm currently going through my diary booking those who have postponed. Luckily, only by a week.

If you need an appointment, please get in touch. It's rather hot, and we don't want the dogs to suffer.

I'll have fresh water on tap here for all your hot dogs.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL.UPCOMING APPOINTMENTS

Upcoming week, there may be a change in my diary.

Elizabeth, my daughter, hasn't been very well this week. Sadly, she hasn't gotten any better as the week has gone on.

This is now a non diagnosis. But she sadly is unable to walk..This is now being passed to the Bristol specialist. For more detailed examinations.

This will affect my diary for a while. This means some appointments will have to be postponed until further notice. If you feel you can not possibly wait, I can divert you to another groomer locally.

I need to be my daughter. I am currently grooming tomorrow, but if I get a phone call, I will have to cancel at the last minute. Please be advised of this.

Can you believe we are in the final school term before 6 weeks holiday.. how is this possible... yet depressing at the same time.

So what can we do to make your grooming experience more fun... yes, you guessed it. The backdrop theme of this 6 weeks is prom night. We try our best to reuse backdrops but give them a fresh batch of props.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've been going thru it all. You couldn't write it. However, enough of the sad story, I'm still standing.

Thank you for your messages and support with my crisis. All my beautiful dogs have found amazing homes. I'm very happy with the reach out from their new owners.

Thursday mood

Today's grooms felt good.
I'm really proud of what I achieved. I think the warmer weather helps a lot.

Ziggy came in for his usual bath, dry and trim all over. Was amazing, amazing coat texture, and super well behaved.

Dusty came in for a summer trim. Managed a super cute photo of him. I love a summer backdrop. Makes me wanna go abroad.

Saturday goes with a blink of an eye.

What a wacky week it has been. But I made it to Saturday somehow. With a couple of days off due to a sick daughter, she is fighting fit again, whereas as I have her germs. But we carry on 😅😅💪🏽💪🏽

The salon has gone a bit crazy busy for myself and Louise, which is fantastic, and everyone seems to love the new colour scheme too.

● Please keep in mind that we tend to book up about 2 weeks in advance. If we get a cancellation, we will contact those on our cancellation list.

● We will do our best to contact everyone booked in for an appointment thr day before as a curisity reminder.

●If you can not make your appointments, please contact us within the 24-48 hours before, as after that, you will still be charged before booking your next appointment. We don't like doing it, but it has come into play as we have had a few appointments cancelled and lost money due to late cancellations.

Hello all.

Just thought I'd reintroduce myself to you all..
I'm Laura, the owner and founder of Laura's Dog grooming ilfracombe. I've been in Lovely Ilfracombe for 12 years this year and never looked back.

Dogs are my passion, and I love them dearly. I have been dog grooming since 2019 but in a salon since 2020. I have my qualifications level 2 Dog grooming assistant followed by my level 3 Dog groomer certificate, which I achieved alongside training in the salon with Louise.

In my 4 years in the salon. I have gained a good reputation and will work with most dogs.
From nervous dogs to reactive dogs. Small puppies to elderly dogs. I also have a few larger dogs, which I do when louise is on hand to help lift in the bath.

I try my very best to work with you, the owner. I will advise or suggest ways in which we can improve your dogs grooming experience. On top of this I feel we are good value for money and cater for everyone.

I will answer messages most evenings and weekends, and I will work around you for appointments. Even collection and drop-off is an option for you.

I hope this helps you in feeling happy with the service I provide you.

Two lovely doggos in today.

The lovely Arthur came in for a summer cut. His hair grew so fast, he was such a nervous boy on his first visit but now he is grown into a confident boy. Well done, Lad x

Lyla, the cocker spaniel, came in for her short clip off groom before her mama goes away on her holidays l.
Always comes in with a waggy tail lovely friendly face.

Hello everyone! I’m off to Bullie Bash 13 10th May for the weekend. We have a stall every year selling any unwanted leads/ toys/ bric-à-brac etc and can also accept towels/ blankets and dog beds to go to dogs in need. Please pop me a message if you have anything you’d like to donate and I can come and collect. I’m taking my van so will have lots of room for things! Thanks!

Lovely busy day in the salon today.

One very nervous wolf in for a deshed and tidy up. He left a very happy dog. 😊

Big boy Max came in for his deshed. Once, a nervous boy is now finding his voice and feeling happy and confident, and he left smelling amazing.

My O.G bestie Dexter came in for a bath, and even tho, he hates the dryers. He took it like a champ. Even got a cheeky selfie and a bunch of kisses with him

I have put the superhero backdrop up for a short while. Just until I figure out what I'm feeling in regards to a theme for photos.

Signage on car. Good things come to those who wait 11 weeks to get some sort of normal,A new normal. Looking forward to getting back to walking my friendly 4 legged friends.

Been doing some puppy training with this dog this week. Things she has learnt is walking with no lead and great recall and retrieving ball and bringing back. She is learning well.

Last night with beautiful brenda tonight. Went for lovely long walk tonight. Had beautiful buttons in the harbour and handsome dexter up the torrs. Good day lovely weather 💗🐶🐾🌻🌻🌻🌻
