✨De-shedding treatment✨

Handsome Hades came in for his regular spa day.

He was the perfect candidate to try out our new & improved de-shedding shampoo.

Paired with a thorough brush through all his compacted undercoat came out
leaving him feeling much better!

Safe to say it did its job and he left with a spring in his step. 🫶🏻

It’s getting hot, hot, hot!

As lovely as it is that we finally have some warm sunny weather, the comfort of our furry friends is ALWAYS paramount!
We’re doing everything we can to ensure all dogs stay cool & comfortable during their pamper session. We have fans on the go, cool matts to lay on and lots of fresh cool water available. All dogs will be offered a nice cooling bath before they leave to keep them comfortable.

If at all you are worried about travelling to us or feel it would put your dogs at risk by bringing them out in the hot temperatures then please give us a call and we’ll do our very best to rearrange your appointment.

Beautiful Bella was found earlier this afternoon! She is now home with her wonderful family who have missed her so much!

So many amazing people came out to help look for her! Everyone worked together to find her and get her home safe and sound.

The wonderful people at The Cowshed were absolutely amazing and provided us all with refreshments whilst looking for Bella.

After her adventure Miss Bella was rather mucky due to last nights awful weather!

She came to the salon for a nice relaxing spa session and enjoyed playing ball afterwards!

We are so relieved she is back home safe! ❤️

Our Story

After 6 years of mobile grooming I set up The Muttley Crew (Ilkeston) in November 2016. Since then the team has grown and I’m very lucky to have found such amazing people to work with. Steph joined pretty soon after I opened the shop and is now in her 2nd year of an Animal Care course at Broomfield College and assists with all aspects of grooming. Lorraine makes a wide range of custom made collars, coats and bandanas and also comes in to assist with grooming. We provide the following services: Claw clips, baths, de-shedding, full clips, hand stripping, coat conditioning. All at very competitive prices.

I am a fully qualified, insured groomer with 10 years experience. I trained with Sue Oliver at Broomfield College. We groom a wide variety of dogs - of all shapes, sizes and breeds and specialise in hand stripping Border Terriers. We pride ourselves in offering a safe and secure environment for your dog and a welcoming cup of tea/coffee and chat for you! You are welcome to remain with your dog while he/she is being groomed. I wanted to provide an environment where owners could see for themselves the grooming process and also offer advice on maintaining the coat between grooms. If you wish to leave your dog with us there is a nice canal side pub across the road, a chip shop next door, a small Asda across the road and a large Morrison's about a mile away.
