This week brought their wonderful, new puppy into the shop, and there was only one thing on its mind…🤩 It must be such a sensory overload for little pups.

We were visited by so many of you and your animals recently and they remember all of our team. Here’s James dishing out the affection 😀

They can’t get here fast enough! 😬

As the chariot rides in with the pooch pointing the way, they all can’t wait to crash down our doors for the Air Con! 😆

We suppose it could be for doggy cooling mats or the chilling in our freezers 🤷🏻‍♂️

James racks his brains trying to keep the stock from disappearing and Alex keeps topping it up! But these carrot bites are flavour of the month right now!

And with some of the best fake flowers and props in the town, even the butterflies 🦋 are swarming in looking for food. Good job we had our fishing nets to catch him and let the little guy out 😬

Summer Holidays are here ☀️👚😎

Our animals, your animals and the animals in the windows are all celebrating 🥳 holiday season!

Our spinning squirrel (yes, you heard correct) can be seen in our new window dressing, pointing the way to all our treats!

It didn’t take Joe very long to spot some new customers and pounce on them with charming tricks. Obviously…he earned his treats and belly-rub 😆 His little legs actually started twitching. Now that’s the life.

And your small furries are all snug and enjoying their hotel experience whilst you guys are away recharging. We’re pretty booked up at Chez Tyler.

So we just got off the phone and unfortunately, we’re just gonna have to push back the article with .s.mulligan We need to work on our Online Shop 😁🤣

This Sunday we switched off for a bit to take some ‘me’ time. There’s a lot happening behind the scenes and it was great to explore on The Grove.

There were doggies everywhere and we know they were convinced we had treats in our pockets 👀 Rascals…

We enjoyed some great coffee and Arancini as well as taking a saunter around some of the local shops like It’s good to see a small town bustling on a Sunday 👌🏻

Being early, we decided to book a table on the rooftop terrace - it’s looking so nice there and was a great little thing to.

Today we’re exploring new systems for the business to tie everything together and bring you an even better experience. There really is a lot going on behind the scenes 🙌🏻 We hope you all had a great weekend! Back to work!

It’s amazing what you can do with a portable dog bed and a pair of - just check out .s.mulligan running a business, getting his dogs out, working on the new online shop AND looking good whilst doing it 🤩

Running a small business is all encompassing, and the buck stops with you. But, would we trade it? No chance 😃 So many of you guys love what we do, the advice we offer, the massive range of stock we have and of course, James, Hugo, Pip, Luke, Alex, Craig and big Tom.

For the days that just tumble along and you’re with your favourite, furry friends, only a ball will do 😃

We wanted sun but it was overcast. Truth is, we captured a TONNE of photos and videos like this. Silly moments. We had the intent of showcasing some exciting products but in all honesty, we had brunch, got the camera out and kind of forgot 😉

Hugo couldn’t sit still, Pip refused to bring the ball back and they just looked to be having too much fun with .s.mulligan to be all ‘serious’.

A definite lazy vibe 😊 Enjoy many, many more like this over summer. I’m sure we won’t need too much focus to get them to eat at least 🤣

Just to say, that we hope from and her Husband to be, Liam, have an epic wedding out in Cyprus 🙌🏻 It’s a beautiful place and we’re sure you’ll have a day to cherish.

Our first little guest was wide-eyed and gleefully surprised at how much we had in stock! They nearly checked every shelf and drew the attention of Big

We’re thinking Zoolander Fridays might need to become a thing. There’s just too many smouldering glances in our humble little shop NOT to have a competition for the best pout!

Have you checked out our window display yet? Rod (Stewart) the Dalmatian is endlessly searching for the summer sun to finally arrive and we have our beautiful, hand painted ‘Pet Pride’ stone from .louise It was so kind of her to drop this off for us and if you’re quick TODAY, you can grab her special Fathers Day versions from Go, go, go!

And how could we forget this majestic, little Corgi? Look at the joy in the dog’s eyes and of the customers that dropped by. Priceless 😍 Ya know, you can have the best technical photos, but you can never beat capturing a true moment.

A bit like Tom genuinely questioning whether Alex had the minerals to sample our very own Tyler Natural Treats! 🤣👌🏻 Might hurt your teeth a bit there, Alex.

Running a business is a rollercoaster. Isn’t it? 🤦🏼‍♂️😀

On the shop floor, Alex and Luke are working hard and taking care of the many customers that depend upon the huge variety of products, and wealth of experience here.

But, if you saunter towards the back, there are some steep stairs that lead you to the cache of stock. You might think ‘that’ is where the real chaos ensues. But nope, it’s eerily quiet and serene. Just the perfect place then, for the Pet Shop’s little guests that enjoy in-house boarding whilst their owners are away. 😃

Ahhhh. Hey guys. Another splendid week at the Pet Shop ☺️

Everybody have a nice weekend? What did you get up to? Some of you are out running on the moor, some are beginning their own new website journey and some…are even sunning it up in Costa Rica 🇨🇷 🤩

For us, it’s busy busy. More pooches popping in by the dozen and sampling our Pic ‘n’ Mix, and we can’t keep restocking the Woof brushes quick enough! That deal is pretty great. There’s tonnes of great dental products actually.

Everybody prepared for a rare shot of ‘Pip’ on the dance floor?! There she is (mid-air might we add!). Pretty sure it was snack time, she loves our Pigs Ears 🤷🏻‍♂️

Amber’s 5 minutes of FAME 🤩

As Amber was let loose, it was clear she had one thing on her mind. To explore! Unhinged, she sprinted off from across the industrial estate and yup…straight into the cafe! 🤣

As workers scrambled to secure their sausages, grabbed her up and brought the excited Amber back to safety.

Again, she sprinted off and found some love from Ady and the gang , jumping up, nearly spilling morning coffees and eating camera lenses!

Isn’t it awesome how a young dog’s zeal and lust for life brought 4 businesses together in a series of moments? 😀 Everyone just stopped and became present in Amber being crazy and happy.

We can be social by just popping next door. We don’t need to make a Reel about it all the time 🤣 Dogs are great!

Every night, we put him to the back of the rack and yet, every single morning, he’s right there. At the front! He knows his only way out is out in your dog’s mouth. So he can get to the park and slither back into the water 😆

Whilst Joe pondered his next trick, we were greeted by your wonderful dogs again. All posing. All naturals. They really do love that camera as they get up so close.

One thing we’ve learned over the past 8 weeks, capturing the moments and life of a local pet shop, is that your dogs have a soul within them.

Each one has such an amazing and unique personality, it’s impossible not to see it in their eyes. We’ve seen how happy a little trip to the pet shop can make them. Their tales wagging like crazy, barking with excitement (rarely with nervousness) and seeing the true, simple joy they have is pretty cool. 😁

We think they just love the interaction, guys. Seeing their friends maybe? Smelling the different smells and just being ‘out’. They just seem so grateful for the simple things. Ok, maybe our free treats play a part ☺️ Craig just throws them at them!

So please keep stopping by, if for nothing else, than to just say hi. Because your dogs get to say hi too…to their pals 👍🏻

Ahhhhh 😮‍💨 we made it, people.

Part 3 of our Delivery Zone focus with Maverick and Goose. We made it back to the ship!

But we’re not resting. This is just an admin turnaround; packing up and getting back out there for one final mission 👀 Well, until the next delivery obviously. 🙄

Coffee. Black. Hot. And then, in he walked…🫢 The mighty ‘Bismarck’! We’re just glad ‘Bear’ wasn’t in the vicinity or things could have got spicy 😀 Just kidding, Bismarck was really friendly. And curious. Luke was rather taken to him clearly.

However, it was time to get back out there for one final push. The ‘Zen Whippet’ could smell your orders so it was time for us to book…

Raybans on. Deliveries done. We returned triumphantly for a victory lap through and one last “Buzz of the tower”. All done at the cosseting, new 20mph of course 🫢😉

Pssst. Now taking Werther’s Original as tips 👍🏻

Next up, dogs in the shop, dogs waiting outside the shop politely and dogs trying to hide. 🙈

We’re back in the saddle for part deux of our Delivery Zone focus. All LS, BD and HG postcodes in case you’re wondering 👌🏻

Maverick and Goose are out delivering your precious orders.

First stop was Burley. A quick turnaround and then straight to Ben Rhydding.

Some snazzy manoeuvres from Maverick got us out of a tight spot and back on into town, sun beaming in with a cool breeze (bliss).

Capturing some of your favourite places in Ilkley, it would have been rude not to showcase the guys at as we passed.

It was straight up into the lofty heights of Ilkley for the next delivery. Always great to see your dogs out and about 😎 These two chomping at the bit to get down into no doubt. The dogs, not us!

Heading back to fill up for another run, passing by ,we stopped off and got some great snaps of the dogs stopping by to see us 🐕

This weekend we were packing up the trusty steed and getting your precious orders out for your beloved animals 😃

Craig (Maverick) and myself (Goose…you’ve got no idea how hard it is to relinquish the Maverick title) are setting off here on the first run. We’re loving the Sun! ☀️ Van all packed up, but where are we off to first?

Everybody. We’re calling it…

Welcome to 🌸 🤩 And a big welcome to you and your amazing furry friends.

Big week this week as the boss .s.mulligan finally gets a well-deserved break by the sea 🌊 Making sure everything was in correct order for the handover to the guys this week, we hope he has a great time and returns refreshed!

With a lick of the lips, and a lot of staring at those Pic ‘n’ Mix tubs, the gravy bones are running low!! Has your dog tried them yet? We were very tempted to accompany this week’s post with ‘Them Bones’ 🦴 by but thought it perhaps a little too aggressive 😂

We’ll be focussing on the delivery element of our services this week as we get out and capture what the guys do to bring your precious orders direct to your door. And we’re sure to get even busier as the upcoming online store continues to take shape too.

We ‘planned’ on about 20 products to start with and ummmmm, we’ve gone a little over that. Up to about 70 of your favourite products are listed so far! When James returns, we’ll take some big steps towards getting that live for you. Thank you for your patience 🙏🏻

Big Bear was projecting his strength but he wasn’t fast enough to beat the big Labs and get to the shop treat bowl first!

Whilst Craig was on the phone, helping you guys out, some of the dogs spotted the ‘Chuckit Ball’. The BIG one 😱 We keep that on the top shelf. Can you IMAGINE them getting their paws on it? It would be utter carnage.

Anyone remember “Who Wants The Ball?” from the film ‘Up!’ ? 😱

We all know you know ‘Joe’. The resident trickster. Craig’s dog has a skill set to envy and here he is, lifting up the Pic ‘N’ Mix lids 🤦🏼‍♂️ Velcro could be on the cards. Stay tuned for some tricks from Joe this weekend 🙌🏻

Two feet, four feet, four feet on…two feet? 🤔

We’re all different. We love capturing these moments in our little pet shop. We can easily see the different personalities in all of your dogs, and how head over heels you are for them.

Jumpy, playful, boisterous, wary (of the camera), ‘hungry’ (for the camera!). But one thing stays constant. The desire for treats! 😆

James has got to stop bringing cruffins in from -Oh my days, cruffins for dogs?! Could that be done? We need to trial this.
