A Liverpool vet student is asking owners/carers of horses or ponies that have had laminitis to complete an online survey. Responses are anonymous.

Horse owners and carers - we're inviting you to take part in our survey investigating approaches to treatment and rehabilitation of laminitis in horses and ponies. The study is being undertaken by undergraduate student Meg as part of her University of Liverpool veterinary degree. As every case of laminitis is different, we are keen to hear about your experiences of laminitis and its management. Be careful of salt and grit on the roads during winter walks.

The salt and grit used on roads in winter can irritate pets' precious paw pads.

It’s important you keep those paws protected by giving them a quick wash when you’re back home.
And for an extra layer of TLC, treating your dog’s pads to a thin layer of paw butter might help to prevent them from cracking 🐾
