🎁 CHRISTMAS GIFT APPEAL 2025 🎁

Many of you have asked about the women and children we support as you want to donate gifts to us

We want all women and children supported by Women's Aid NEL to receive a sack of gifts from us as part of our mission to make their Christmas enjoyable and special.

And we would love you to play a special part in that.

How you can help 💜
1. Buy a gift for a child and/or Mum(see below for ages and gender).
2. Gifts should be new items, not used.
3. Drop off your UNWRAPPED gift to any of our shops, Hainton, Willows, Nunsthorpe or Tiverton.
4. Add your own personalised message if you wish (optional).

As well as in the Refuge, we have many families we support through our outreach services, who are living in domestic abuse situations. These families are of all varying ages and gender and we would love to provide gifts for them too.

🌧️🌬️ It’s 5am and I’m wide awake…

Listening to the wind and rain and hoping our 17ft snowflake (yes… seventeen feet! 😱) is still standing strong out there.

Anyone else awake this early stressing over EVERYTHING? 😅

Facebook algorithms are really not on my side right now — posts aren’t getting seen, interaction is way down, and I’m fully in panic mode… which is probably why I’m awake at 5am!

Our event on here only shows 8 people attending, so we have no idea what to expect on switch-on night.

Raffle ticket sales are much slower than other years, and our raffle table is still missing the basics like chocolates, wine, sweets, little bits, even though we have some incredible big prizes:

We have made some brilliant progress though — last night we confirmed the PERFECT food van for the switch-on… SpudWagon

We’re over the moon and will share more details soon.

But my biggest stress right now:

We’re down volunteers and really need to sell as many raffle tickets as possible before the night.
You can buy tickets online through the page OR pop to the house to collect.
