Hi, My name is Andy Condie and for as long as I can remember I have always had and loved dogs. I am a qualified architectural technician but after nearly 30 years sitting behind a computer or at the drawing board I decided there had to more to life. Why a dog walker you may ask? Simple, I love dogs! I'm out all day meeting new friends both human and canine. A healthy happy dog not only needs good

exercise, but it needs proper socialisation and sufficient mental stimulation to have a truly satisfying life. Leaving your dogs alone at home for long periods can not only leave them bored and lonely but it can make them stressed and anxious. This can often be the basis for behaviour problems, even health disorders. We can provide the perfect solution. Star Walks provide one-hour private walks or small group walks depending on your dog’s needs. If your Dog displays good recall, off the leash walking and exercise will be considered provided we have your prior consent. Prior to your dog’s first walk with us, we will arrange a free visit with you and your dog in your home. This will give us the chance to meet you and more importantly give you and your dog the chance to meet us. At this stage we can discuss any behavioural traits or special needs your dog may have. Unfortunately we cannot accept aggressive dogs on our walks.

A bit chilly this morning but looking good for pack walk this morning

There is standing water and the burn is nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be. Although rain is starting to fall heavier since right this. Understandable if you do not want to venture out this morning. I'll be along anyhoo as I have a dog to walk. More than welcome to join me for a walk if you're up🌧 🌧😭

Place from distance

With place we can work on duration distance and distraction. Duration, how long we have the dog on place. Distance, how far we can get from dog without breaking and also how far we can be from the target and send dog to a place. Distraction, can be a whole host of different things. Other dogs, people, birds animals, the doorbell or even doing the hoovering. In this case the front door is open with external noises coming through.

Ruby is one of my walking clients who comes out 5 days a week. When I return dogs I often put them in place. I only spend a minute, 1 minute, 60 seconds doing this each day. Think of what you could achieve if you spent 10 or 15 minutes a day doing this. I'll post another video on how to start place training soon.
