We are finally able to tell you our exciting news, its been a long time coming with delays from every angle, but we are proud to announce that today we opened Inverness Dog Daycare.

We have purchased the current dog daycare business Playful Paws which has been running in Inverness since 2016. However we wanted to put our own stamp on this and have changed the name along with our new branding, which if you reckonise them, our own dogs are the new logo.

Our Walks for Paws page will be closing in a few weeks as we will be transfering our services to Inverness Dog Daycare, providing pet transportation and wedding chaperone services. We're afriad there wont be regular walks anymore as we dont have the time, but the occasional pet sitting and weekend walk is available and will be insured through the daycare business. Thank you for supporting us through Walks For Paws and I hope you all continue to support us in our new venture, even if you just follow the page, but I hope to see some of your dogs at daycare soon. Enquires and visits to the centre are always welcome, just get in touch to arrange.

Sorry we've been so quiet on here recently, there's a lot going on in the background. One thing is that our little Lily had her leg amputated last week. She got the all clear today and we celebrated with a walk and a puffed bunny ear 🤣
If you've been a long time follower you'll remember Lily's had a lot of trouble with her leg, 3 surgeries, been on medication for over a year and in pain at least 2 years! But as of today she's medication free, hopefully pain free and able to go on any walks we chose. We're so happy and think this was the best thing we could have done for her. She's a wee whirlwind and won't let something like this stop her having a great time 😍🥰

This weekend I had the absolute honor of walking Anugs and taking him to his photoshoot... I mean for his Mum and Dad's wedding photos 🤣

I loved watching the photoshoot, it was so relaxed and fun! Angus being a spaniel was straight in the water, playing with sticks and tennis balls. It was more like a walk and playtime than traditional wedding pictures ❤️ These are just a couple of sneaky pictures I took, can't wait to see the professional photos.

With Lily having the vets today and I had a hospital appointment (we all know how long that takes!!), I knew I wasn't going to manage 2 walks today so I took all the pups to WaggTail Woods, I usually stick to 4 dogs maximum but on this one occasion I didn't.
🐾 Dougal, Shadow, Molly, Rowan and Gus all had a great time and those that don't normally get off the leads were loving the freedom!!!

Sprocket went to her Dad's work and had a great time, she slept all afternoon!!

I had some human socialising today so didnt get any pictures of the fur-babies, sorry! I love being with the dogs they are my best friends ❤️ but sometimes it's nice to see humans too.
🐾 Django and Marley - we met up with Emma The Pupper Strutter The boys were acting like young pups with their new pals.
🐾 Rowan, Shadow and Gus - met up with Don speedydogzales and my old pal Ollie who I used to walk. Good to have the gang together again and see how fantastic Ollie is getting on with Don 🥰

A little insight into our Thursday Beauly walk. I think I've got really lucky with this group, they're all so good and get on really well together. There's a bog just over the wee hill so I get them to walk nicely while we get past it and just look how good they are 😍😍😍😍 Ps. I'm not a trainer, this just works well for us. Credit to the owners for training their dogs ❤️

This was Jimmy's turn. Again he had no idea where the trail layer was as Jim was waiting in the van for Sprocket's turn. Jimmy had a massive distraction as they'd put the BBQ on 🤣 then some people wanted to pet him (wouldn't you 😍 he's so cute). Near the end you'll see he keeps circling around, this is him trying to figure out where the scent is exactly, he can tell its here but he's using his nose not his eyes so it takes him a wee while to pin point the person! This is not our usual session, we're normally somewhere with only our team (4-6 people) and the odd passerby. Sprocket and Jimmy have never done this in such a busy area, it was a massive challenge for them!!

So this is what we do on the weekends, this is "mantrailing" with an incredible amount of distractions! Sprockie and I started outside of the field and she had a sniff of a sent article (the trail layers hat), then she's following her nose to find him, she had no idea where he went. You'll see her checking people and dogs on the way and quickly ruling them out. Before the big celebration when she finds him and some yummy treats for Sprocket.
