Please sir, can I have some more?

No filling piggies when it comes to their veggies! I don't remember the last time I could crinkle a packet without someone catching on 😂

With the colder nights definitely on their way in, remember that even with their furry coats our smallest family members might still feel a chill.

Theres jackets available for pups, insulating sheets for outside buns or piggies and they can also be brought into a garage too.

I also swear by all the light up dog accessories! Light up pendants, balls, collars, jackets and so many more - spoilt for choice to help both you and others spot your pups.

Oh my god, can you believe that it's November already?!

Just a wee reminder with bonfire night tonight, Classic FM are doing an animal dedicated programme this evening to settle any nerves.

We hope that everyone has a great night, but please remember how loud and frightening the bangs can be for sensitive ears.

Things have definitely been a lot more quiet here at Inverness Rodent Rehome, and I honestly couldn't be happier. It's good to know that so many babies are currently happy at home.

However, if things do come up that makes it hard for you to continue with your little bud then please don't hesitate to get in touch. We are a no judement zone, only questions we ask are to give us the best information about your loved one.

Below is a wee picture of our Nic, he's an old lil fella now and our longest (permanent) resident 😍

Nothing quite like a Lady and the Tramp moment during a clean out session.

Please remember not leave your little ones unattended with your dogs. You never know when there might be a spike in prey drive, or a play a little bit too rough.

Our pup was introduced to the residents from day one (through a baby gate) and has been taught to be gentle when in the room. But he's never left unattended, just to be on the safe side for all.

And just like that, summer is gone! Winter is definitely on its way.

Please start planning now about accommodation adjustments needed for any outdoor buns or piggies. We don't want another - 14°C winter and they most definitely don't want to be outside in it!

Unfortunately, in recent months we have had our long term resident gerbils pass away. Our wee Gavin and Smithy (10 points to Griffendor if you get the reference). They were approximately 4 when they passed, but they were definitely active in those years!

It was two years ago this week that we picked the wee fellas up and it's safe to say they've made it interesting. Love you boys!

We have been a little quiet on the Facebook front recently, but that doesn't mean things are any quieter here.

Please meet the newest addition, George. We hope to bond this wee cutie with our other male piggie. Here's hoping 🤞🤞

When having a house rabbit, it's vitally important to remember that everything withing 2 foot of the ground is free game for your rabbit. Anything that you leave at this height or below might be what your bun picks as their next chew!

Our little fella is a sneaky little thing but he does enjoy a good ear rub. He really knows how to round off your day!

Things have come a long way since getting our little OG, Smirnoff. The hammy who started our Rodent journey, where would we be without you bud!

Smirnoff taught us very quickly that hammies are a little more complex than pet shops would have you think.

With the glorious heat and sunshine we have been enjoying the last few days, please remember about your furry babies.

The heat can effect them in many ways so please ensure they have plenty of water, ventilation and loving. Even treat them to a trip into the garden if it's safe 😊.

Please feel free to get in touch with us if there is any way that we can be of assistance to you.

Who says you can't teach an old gerbil new tricks?!

Suddenly in his retirement our Smithy has completely come out of his shell and is more curious than ever. Please, remember that older animals need just as much loving as their younger counterparts, they can be just as keen for adventures.

Vinyl flooring is honestly such a lifesaver!!

We have just laid this flooring on top of the existing carpet and honestly our cleaning time has been drastically reduced. The pitter patter of little feet is also incredibly adorable.

We're moving!

Inverness Rodent Rehome is relocating. Don't worry we are sticking with Inverness.

Please remember when moving house, this can be a stressful time for our fur babies, they just can't understand what's going on around them. There are loads of ways we can help with this transition:

*Keeping their bedding so that they still have their own scent
*Pheromone plug ins
*Extra love and attention
*Time to settle into their new surroundings and then time to explore them

So many different ways, please if you have any questions ask away. We are more than happy to help 😊

Nothing quite like the cone of shame, they just don't realise that its for their own good.

Our full time resident Leonidas was recently neutered and was not impressed, as you can tell.

Please feel free to drop us a message if there's anything we could help with. Advice, support or recommendations, we are here to help however you need.

With lockdown restrictions easing, let's not forget about how these changes will effect our fur babies. They just want all the love, but who can blame them, they deserve to be spoilt 😍

It's safe to say we have had a busy weekend. Our ranks have increased with 2 pairs of guinea pigs moving in. Once we get know the little fellas we will be looking for their forever homes.

So far this little fella, Sammie, is not shy and is very keen to explore his new surroundings. We will keep you updated as the boys settle in.

Nothing is quite like that moment you realise your rank is below the animals. No space on the couch for me.

I'm very happy to introduce one of our newest family members. This is Fudge, she is a young Guinea Pig who unfortunately has recently lost her pair. Having only been with us a couple days Fudge's personality isn't fully shining yet, but from what shes shown so far she's a cracker.

I would like to introduce my wee petes. Peter is a rabbit who joined our wee adopted family back in April. At only 6 months old we were his third home, and his last. I have just managed to take this picture as he has been hopping around the house for hours, and please note the door is still open for him to get out when he wakes. I've also added a wee photo in from the week we got him.

Wee Peter settled in brilliantly back in April and very quickly he got the dog whipped into shape. So long as Peter is in charge then they are the best of friends 😂

He's a very happy wee boy 😍

This is Annastasia (Anna). She is the one who introduced us to the world of hamster adoption.

When she came to live with us she was incredibly stressed and had severe anxiety. With much love and careful attention she improved significantly.

In a couple of months we managed to develop her confidence to let us pet her, then this progressed to gentle handling and then finally she was happy to run freely.

The changes in Anna's confidence was an amazing achievement.
